Batman: Arkham Asylum

Just got my copy of the Collector's Edition of the game. Came with a bunch of neat stuff. But I have to say so far the game is the very best game that I have ever played. Just absolutely amazing.

If you have both a ps3 and a 360 I suggest you get the PS3 version as you are able to play as the Joker in the PS3 version.

Not a fan of batman, but I just saw the trailer. I think I'm going to pick this up tomarrow, good find!

I saw a review on his game and it got like a 9 out of 10 score. Looked to be a really good game. I think this is like the first Batman game since the one on the NES that is actuallly good

I would say that Final Fantasy XII is the greatest game in the world, but that's my opinion.
I was actually reading an article on 1up.com about how people who consider themselves to be "hardcore" gamers generally tend to shy away from sports games, but as with any media, which ever game somebody thinks is the best ever is very subjective. That being said, I've never been very impressed with the Madden series, especially after it got a monopoly on the NFL license. Personally, I preferred Sega's NFL 2K series.
But back to Batman, I've already played the demo like 10 times, and my roommates are getting sick of me playing it. But unless they want me to pay rent, I got to wait till next friday for the real deal.

Dude Jesse said he thought Batman was the best game so I just said that I thought Madden was the best game. It's not your place to just come at me like that man. Well there are only a few things that are button smashers.
1. Say you are opening a vent in the wall. You have to press a button several times before it opens.

2. If a psycho jumps on your back to get him off you press a button several times to throw him off.

3. Maybe when you fight you press a few buttons, its like Spiderman game fighting so yeah.

Other than that there are 240 challenges left around the Asylum island by the Riddler and you have to solve his riddles by looking around. They can be very difficult to find if you don't have his maps that give hints to where their locations are. But even when you get to that part to where the riddle is located. You might need a gadget to get there that you do not have yet or it could be difficult to solve.

Its a stealth game too. You will find yourself with a bunch of henchmen in a room with you. It is easy to defeat them if they are not armed. But if they are all armed stealth is your friend as picking them off one by one slowly gets the others who are still left nervous at every corner. And there are so many ways to knock out a guy that has nothing to do with actual combat!

So far in the game there is one main story that you are trying to stop the Joker from his master plan. Though in the middle of the game it might seem at times that you are trying to figure out why you are fighting as Batman in the first place. But that is more of a side thing with another boss in the game that we all know. =)

Gameplay is amazing, the story and the cinematic scenes are great. Dialogue is good. Overall this game deserves everything that its being said about it.

Good to know. I ask that because watching the game play it looked ''too easy'' to pull off all those crazy combinations and what not. In a way, it sorted flowed like the Assassins creed animinations with the reversals and what not (which was a pretty easy combat game)

Searching around, I heard that eventually the Joker playable character will be a download for Xbox users as well; I'm guessing that's a reverse storyline, so that opens up the game real well.

Pretty much the deal has been sealed from the purchase; never thought I'd buy a bat man game, lol.

Well Joker could be played in challenge maps. Which are like not part of the story, just you completing challenges such as taking out everybody as fast as you could without being hit or highest combo, or most points. Rank gets put online and such.

Don't think that the combat is too easy now! Thats when they will get you. My highest combo is 14 hits because occasionally they will get that hit in and they could keep hitting you if you're not fast enough to strike back after the hit, same with the bosses. They'll knock you around if you're not quick enough.

And to tell you the truth I have jumped a few times because I think I've knocked everyone out and then I turn a corner and gets jumped on by a psycho patient. lol

Oh and Joker is staying Exclusive to PS3 ONLY. Sony and Rocksteady and or Edios signed a contract stating that.

I just got this game last Friday, and it flat out rocks! You really feel like the gosh darn Batman playing it. I've absolutely loved the encounter with Scarecrow (though with him being my favorite Batman villain, it doesn't surprise me), and right now, I'm on the part with Killler Croc. Needless to say, it's intense, yet satisfying.

bosses r bit easy, im playing hard mode now and am too at killer croc. btw i loved how they set up last scarecrow encounter! BTW new FREE DLC coming in 6 days!!!! EXCITING!!!!
