The scene opens up inside the home of APW’s own, President Jeff. We see the boss in black shorts and a black APW Muscle shirt, working out in his own personal Gym. Sunday at Shockwave, President Jeff steps back in the ring, but this time, this match is personal. Jeff has fought many people for different reasons, but non as personal as this one against the White Lion, Michael Lively. The camera is focuses on Jeff, who is doing pull ups.
Jeff: Ninety seven, ninety eight, ninety nine, One Hundred.
Jeff lets go of the bar and catches his breath as he tags a drink from his near by water bottle and then grabs a towel to wipe the sweat off his rippling muscles. Jeff tosses the towel on a bench and see’s the camera. Jeff looks right into it. You see the focus in his eyes, more intense than ever as he calmly begins to speak.
Jeff: The time has finally come. No more mind games. No more who can screw the other person over. This Sunday, August 30th, APW Shockwave. A match that’s been pretty much five months in the making. The boss, President Hurricane Jeff Verses Michael Lively.
I remember, 17 months ago Lively. APW was just getting started and you signed a contract for APW. I sat there at my desk while you we’re signing on the dotted line, and I saw something in you. A young man with tons of potential. Hidden talent. I knew one day you would take APW by storm and that’s exactly what you did. You won the Overdrive title. The Tag Title. And the APW World Heavyweight Title. I know your goal is to win the Xtreme Title. Be the only man in APW to win every title. But you messed up Livley, and now, your at the bottom of the ladder. You want that title, your going to have to fight you way back up to the top
But Sunday night, its not about that. For you Lively, its about getting back your contract. And for me, quite honestly, I could care less if you beat me and get your contract back. For me, fighting you in the ring, its not about who the better man is. Its not about titles. Its about revenge. Its about payback for what you did Lively. It goes much deeper for me than just you leaving the company. I can get over that. it’s the personal stuff that upsets me. It’s the Lies you have supported that tares me up inside and sets me off. You probably don’t know what I’m talking about, but let me explain.
Lets go back to when this war began. It began when Trevor Blackwell decided he needed to start back up IWC. And he tried to rape my roster. He even thought offering me a spot would make it all ok. We’ll, it doesn’t work that way. Then former people who worked in APW started showing up. Spirit, Kenny Lambardo, Tony Blackwell, Fyre Angel, Kristina Blackwell. Trevor’s group of misfits. Every where Trevor goes, they go. Trevor controls them all like puppets. But the hand full of us who know Trevor, we know not to fall into his trap. I’ve wrestled and worked with these people pretty much my hole career. There was times when we all didn’t see eye to eye, but I was the bigger man and apologized to everyone, to make things right. But then, shit hit the fan. My name started being dragged though the mud. Spit on. Kicked. You couldn’t watch an IWC show without my name plastered in hate all over it. Hell, trashing me and APW give me more air time than half the roster.
And then it began with Lie after Lie. When the website got hacked, I got blamed, even though I didn’t do it, and even when I told Trevor when he texted me, I told him it wasn’t me, but that wasn’t good enough. And then, to massage his own ego, to make himself look like the greatest person on earth and me as sum, began telling people that I kept them down, that I didn’t “push” them. Allow me to run down the name of Trevor’s misfits and what they accomplished in APW. Lets start at the top with Trevor. Former Xtreme Champion. He had more World title shot than anyone in 2008. He may blame me for never winning the big one, but like I’ve always said, he couldn’t win the big one in WWC, and he couldn’t win against me, because he would always choke and that’s his own damn fault. And then, his right hand man, Kenny Lambardo, Former APW World Champion. The 2nd world champion in APW History. Held the title for 4 months. And then ran with his tail between his legs after I showed the world just what kind a man he really is. Diana Steel, one half of the first APW Tag Champion, along with my next person on the list, Spirit. And might I add, Diana was also in the match that crowd the first APW Overdrive Champion. Tony Blackwell, Xtreme Champion, Fyre Angel, Xtreme Champion and Tag Champ, Kristina Blackwell Tag Champ. Arcadia, Overdrive champ.
I’ve done nothing but treated them all with respect. I’ve done nothing but do what I could for them. I gave them one last chance of stardom and fame. I gave the old CWF/WWC crew one last chance to fight together. One last chance to go out on top. Matt Metal and Twister we’re smart enough to take advantage of that, but the rest of them, tarnished their career and legacy with IWC. But Trevor the whole “He said this, he said that” card against me and had them all against me. Making me the villain. I’ve never said anything bad about any of them during their time in APW or whatever they did after APW. Trevor must have been smoking too much weed, fogged up his memory and only believed what the voices in his head decided to tell him.
Your probably scratching your head Lively, Trying to figure out what all this has to do with you. Well, while all this was going on, you supported it. You threw your shots in. You fed on what Trevor was saying. You never stood up for me. You never told them to stop and focus on the company instead of focusing on me and APW. And while the lies about me was building, I was telling the truth to other people. I gave IWC 4 months before the doors would shut. I was nice with that estimate and IWC didn’t last 2 months. I told everyone that Trevor is just in it for himself and his friends. Tell me Lively, I saw the one and only super show. How did it feel when you we’re the favorite to win the Insane Title, only to have you screwed over when Kenny Lambardo, Dressed as me 7 years ago, faked his death only to show up and win the title. Trevor never once cared about you Lively. He wanted you away from APW because he knew you we’re money. He knew you we’re a star. And in a attempt to take me and APW down, he thought taking you away would kill APW, well, look at APW now. Stronger than Ever. Better than ever. APW survived without you. If you don’t get your contract back at Shockwave, then your no big loss.
So I agreed to his match Michael because this is the only chance at revenge that I’ll get. I won’t be happy until I feel the warmth of your blood on my hands. I won’t be happy until I see the pain in your eyes, the fear in your face. This will be far from a wrestling match, this will be a fight. And the beating I plan on giving you, your mother will be lucky if she can recognize you after the match. And you can that Trevor for that. When that bell rings, its war, and every time I hit you, every time I smash your face in, I’m going to be thinking of the time when the APW/IWC war began and there was nights I lay awake thinking if this was it for APW. Wounding how I can turn this around when APW was struggling. But we survived. We didn’t quit. And at the end of the day, as much as I want to take credit for IWC’s demise, there’s only one person to blame and that’s Trevor himself.
