Cleansing the Evil, Part III: "Ride through Hell"
"It torments us with the expression of pleasure and pain. It torments us through incarnations in heaven and hell. It is seen to afflict the rich, the poor and the glorious. The source of this illness which torments us is greed..."-Anonymous
Its ok dont apologize,
You dont know what your striving for,
You never seem to try.
Its too early, go live your life,
Keep on moving, its time to....
Ride, Ride, Ride,
Now its time to...
Ride, Ride, Ride,
Everything seems tempting, But nothing comes for free...
I often wonder how you drive, when the roads too dark to see...
Its too early, its time to....
Ride, Ride, Ride
Relight the fire, to watch it burn,
But when it comes your turn, all thats left is embers...
You Ran this race with no real heart,
You're right back at the start, you'd already lost it...
You dont know what your striving for,
You never seem to try.
Its too early, go live your life,
Keep on moving, its time to....
Ride, Ride, Ride,
Now its time to...
Ride, Ride, Ride,
Everything seems tempting, But nothing comes for free...
I often wonder how you drive, when the roads too dark to see...
Its too early, its time to....

Relight the fire, to watch it burn,

Stocked with artillery the size of Pearl Harbor, the brothers stepped down into Roddy's massive bomb-shelter of a basement. Arming themselves with enough knives, bullets, silenced handguns, and even a rope big enough to lasso an elephant, they prepared for more than a shootout. Aidan proceeded to load the truck as Austin sat along the front porch with Roddy, sipping a bottled cold beer and catching up. The boys hadn't seen Roddy since they last were seen on newspapers and televised news, now it seemed their past was beginning to catch up with them again. They didn't choose to live as heroes or villains, angels or demons, gods amongst men, or anything of higher power, but vigilantes seeking to rid of evil men. They'd grown up being raised by a father with a strong belief in karma and justice, while holding a holy belief that what they were doing was right.
Stocking each and every automatic rifle, handgun, and weapon they had at their disposal, the brothers began plotting their assault.
Roddy: "C'mon guys you gotta let me in on this, I can be a perfect executioner just give me a chance. I'm quick like a cat and quiet as a fox."
Roddy stumbles around trying to impress Austin and Aidan with some fancy moves, before tripping over a bucket and knocking a shelf over.
Aidan (Chuckling): "Right Rod, you'd be a fine killer letting someone know where you are at all times."
Austin: "Yeah face it you're better off here shooting at cats and running errands for the mob and bar instead, Rod."
Roddy stumbling to his feet as he trips over some things that had fallen from the shelf, while trying to catch them and place them back up as he panics.
Roddy: "Aw come on guys! I can be a big help I promise!"
Aidan cocks a silenced .9mm and extends his right arm staring down the barrel, before placing it carefully into a big black bag and looks to Roddy.
Aidan: "Sorry lad, not this time."
After loading everything into a an old black Chevy Caprice, the boys made their way into downtown Trenton, New Jersey. If there was one thing the boys were certain of, they weren't going to let these child-murdering scum walk away without a scar. Moving into a fairly dim-lit alleyway they cut the headlights, coasting in behind a large run-down apartment building. Broken and boarded up windows, rusted pipes and gutters, a place which only the poorest and unhealthiest could live.
Aidan: "You sure this the place?"
Aidan mutters leaning towards the dashboard, peering up at the large and filthy apartment complex.
Austin: "I'm fuckin positive, Hugh told us this was the address."
Both getting a little anxious and nervous, the brothers take a deep breath before slipping on their black ski masks and gloves. Jumping out of the car they begin ascending their way up the fire exit shaft, climbing into the building through a broken window along the third floor. Slipping through the shadows of a burned down apartment, they continue into the hallway and hurry towards the nearest elevator.
Austin: "Fuckin place is prehistoric brother, the damn elevator best work."
Aidan slowly turns his head towards Austin and smirks through his mask.
Aidan: "For their sake or ours?"
Chuckling quietly between themselves Austin playfully slugs his brother in the shoulder tightly gripping his silenced Desert Eagle. As the elevator arrives and the doors open the boys step inside, quietly awaiting as they remain silent. Mentally preparing themselves for whatever may what on the top floor, Austin quietly utter a prayer to himself as Aidan simply stared at the floor. Before looking to his brother with a bit of concern...
Aidan: "Nervous?"
Hesitant at first, Austin tapping his silenced .9mm against his hip repeatedly begins to nod. As Aidan nods in response and quietly whispers across the elevator to his brother...
Aidan: "Me too."
The elevator beeps as it reaches the top floor, and the brothers kneel before the elevator doors before reciting a quiet prayer. Crossing a single hand down their faces and across their chests, before stepping slowly through the doors cautiously. Austin moving across the hall against the nearest wall, while Aidan covers them from the back as they proceed down the empty hall. Brown molded and burn walls fill the top floor, mainly empty rooms with mattress springs and bedframes, water leaks all over filling every room.
Austin: "Bloody mary this place smells like shite."
Austin whispers as they continue down the hall before hearing commotion close by, a man stood in a black leather coat and ragged jeans. Holding an AK47 to his shoulder puffing away on a cigarette while talking on his cell phone, appearing to argue with the person on the other end of the phone in Russian. Just then Aidan carefully looks over at Austin crouched from sight, and whispers audibly identifying the little girl's killers to be the Russians.
Slipping through the shadows, moving closer through every room the brothers moved in on the man at the end of the hall. Unaware if any other armed men may have been close by as well, they proceeded on into a room filled with shelves and boxes. Tripping over some sort of lead pipe, Aidan staggers into a nearby shelf. Causing a ruckus as the armed man with the AK47 quickly spits out his cigarette and shuts his phone.
Armed guard: "Ivan?"
The man shouts before muttering a few more words in Russian, slowly moving along as he checks each room alarmed. Meanwhile Austin and Aidan await along either side of a doorway ready, squeezing the grip of their silenced weapons tightly. Finally the man peers into the darkness of the room sticking his head in, only to immediately be clubbed in the back of the neck by Austin. The sheer jolt of the weapon sends the man staggering forward, revealing his size to the boys to be much bigger than they had thought. Dropping his AK47 under a shelf the man catches himself, turning towards the brothers with a deep groan.
Aidan: "Oh...fuck."
Aidan mutters as the brothers look to one another before screaming and rushing the man full-sprint, leaping onto him before pummeling him down. The large man attempts to hold the masked brothers in front of him but fails, falling back hitting shelves as they tip over behind his body. It appeared to be more of a scuffle at first as they rolled around choking and hammering on the man, before finally Austin cracked a large metal pipe to the man's face.
Staggering to their feet the brothers catch their breath before dusting themselves off, Austin glaring down at the large man's dead body gives a swift kick before picking up his gun.
Aidan: "C'mon."
Minutes later the two had made it up a flight of stairs and stumbled upon something far more horrifying than they could have predicted. Opening a large door slowly, to find a trail of children's deceased bodies leading down a hall to their killer. Austin and Aidan appear to be horrified as Austin wipes a few tears, looking to his brother and shaking his head.
Austin: "Let's go kill these motherfuckers."
Aidan pausing for a moment, slowly looks over his shoulder through the skimask back to his brother and nods.
[ To be continued. ]
A sudden flash appears as the footage begins to play with a bright blinding light glowing into the camera, as two similar shadows appear moving in front of it. While the camera attempts to focus in on the images, two familiar voices can be heard in the distance just clear enough to be made out. Suddenly as the lens focuses in once the image clears the two figures seen standing before the blinding light are now revealed to be Austin and Aidan the O'Connor Brothers.
Austin: "Y'know my dear brother, I'd say for the hell of a rough start we've had here so far in APW. I'd say we made quite the impression on these yanks."
Austin slowly turns his head looking towards his brother.
Aidan: "Aye, y'see we lads came to this fine country and "land of opportunity" when we were young little bastards. Long before we learned the truth about this cold, cruel, and unjust world we were spawned into. My brother Austin and I grew up under our father's wings, learning the ways of vigilance and justice. Learning how to protect those who wished to do cruel and evil onto other's, and soon enough we became men."
Aidan pauses, looking to Austin.
Austin: "For you see, we do not ask for your poor, or your hungry, we do not want your tired and sick, it is your corrupt we claim."
Austin tilts his head and cracks his neck followed by his knuckles, as Aidan steps beside his brother and nods turning to the camera.
Aidan: "Your corrupt, your cruel, your greedy, and it is your evil that will be sought by us. With each and every breath we shall hunt them all down, and strike them down unmercifully. Inside the ring and outside the ring, each day we will spill their blood until it rains down from the skies!"
Austin nods towards the camera.
Austin: "Aye! Do not kill, do not rape, do not steal, do not corrupt, these are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior, codes of fucking conduct, and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. You will answer to us, one way or another..."
Austin pauses.
Austin: "All of these are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth and scum, not to push the bounds and cross over, in to true corruption, into our domain...where you shall pay dearly. Do not decieve us in your promos, your false beliefs, and oppose us to your own advancement in your careers..."
He smirks before raising a sleeved arm of his black long-sleeved turtleneck shirt, resting a forearm along his brother's shoulder.
Aidan: "For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see the two duo, sent to make you suffer and pay and on that day you will reap it! And we will send you to whatever god you wish, and down whatever road you follow."
Aidan looks to Austin, who smirks.
Austin: "Y'see we Irish don't know what we want, BUT we are always prepared fightin' to the' death to get it. Aye? Keep that in mind in case that's something you boys missed Scoot, Markus. You boys certainly have your work cut out for you tonight, that be a certainity."
Aidan: "Aye, the truth is lads quite frankly, y'lads as fans don't know shite about wrestling. You jump up and down over any big spot we're willing to do to just about finish ourselves, and you buy into the bollocks of hype we stir. You lads don't know anything about chain wrestling, about energy, about stamina, about pride and honor like my dear brother and I do."
Austin nods.
Austin: "Damn right they don't, they're just coming into this show tonight feeling they've got it all figured out. The questions answered, the obstacles overcome, and all the potential they need. Sadly you boys haven't gotten anything you need, not yet you don't...and tonight we're going to teach y'lads that very lesson."
Aidan: "Markus Moment, a bloke with quite honestly the most ridiculous excuse for a bloody name I've ever heard. Quite certainly also the biggest arse-kissing fan to walk the halls of APW, which comes as no surprise when get a look at this fellar. Markus you my friend might be excited for tonight, but truthfully I don't seeing you pose as the slightest threat to us at all. No you lad will be so busy marking' out for every little thing that happens, every scar that will be made, every drop of blood that will be shed, you Mark will be too occupied watching in awe."
"You see this is no ordinary barbed-wire match you lads have seen in your day, this match is no ordinary tag match you've witnessed. My brother Austin and I have spent weeks preparing for the torture that lies ahead, and our bodies as well as our drunk Irish minds are prepared. The real question now is, are you?"
Austin: "Aye, One Night in Hell marks the beginning of something new for the APW lads, a time for Championships to exchange, careers to be made and broken, dreams to come true and dreams to be shattered. The O'Connor brothers have seen horror in our young days far greater than you can imagine, we aren't going to fear anything we've yet to endure. But you must now be afraid, for we hold no remorse, no mercy, no holding back on those who defy good men."
Austin pauses, clearing his throat and glancing to his brother.
Austin: "Markus, you can live up to your biggest wish come true and fulfill your dreams of stepping into a ring with two of the biggest soon-to be stars of APW. But be warned lad, we aren't going soft tonight. We aren't going to let anything slip past us once more, and we aren't going to lay down for no man."
Aidan: "Y'see Markus, Scootie, y'lads are not much bigger if not smaller than we, and you just aren't that experienced either. Aye, you may want this just as badly as we, but you haven't the heart, the passion, or the dedication we shall spring forth. Y'see boys to us you two are nothing more than wee little leprechaun wanna-be’s, climbing into a ring pretending this is all a show. That you will be hobbling into that ring tonight to face us, and the first few shots are all going to be fake and organized to entertain these fine people. Sadly you haven't the slightest clue, for the' horrorifying agony and affliction that awaits you inside that ring. Steel chairs, barbed wire, tables, ladders, it sends chills down our backs just thinking of the fun tonight shall be."
"This night is the next stop in our road to glory, and nothing shall prevent us from obtaining it! You fanatic harpies shall not tarnish our golden dream, we two simply won't allow it, not today, not tomorrow, not ever!"
Aidan shouts.
Austin: "Aye! Y'see boys fans belong outside the ring in those seats that we shall fill, not inside a wrestling ring where they don't have a place or business being. You lads aren't ready for the O'Connor brothers, or the AKA, or the Axis of Awesome for the' matter. Fine shame you lads couldn't have given up sooner, but a punishment we must deliver, then punishment we shall deliver. Tweeners can't become anything more than slot fillers lads, and if not fans once more when we're finished with you-then slot fillers be all that you'll stay. You see lads lesson "101" in wrestling, tweeners don't get over. Heroes do, and sometimes so do the villains, the bastards good men like us make pay for the things they've done. But you two..."
Austin shakes his head.
Aidan: "Good point my brother here makes, you see lads it's nothing personal. Tonight simply will undoubtedly be a cold-blooded bar brawl in that ring, a bloodbath none the less indeed. But know this, there will be nothing that will keep us from reaching the top of that ladder, there will be nothing keeping us from reaching success. There is no living or breathing thing that can keep us from Tag Team Championship gold. Lads you're in for it tonight, trot around and try to outwit us, try to outrun us. You're only stalling the inevitable lads, and that's us becoming victorious tonight. You'll see."
Austin and Aidan: (Together) "And Shepherds we shall be...
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand...
Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee...
And teeming with souls shall it ever be...
In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti."
The brothers step forward and smash out the camera lens booting it with a hard impact as the footage cuts to static.
