With Last week’s Overdrive show coming to an end, the fans went home full of excitement. Two title matches we’re made for the Christmas Chaos Pay Per View. APW Hall of Famer Matt Metal as a guest on the show, made the first match, Chris Cyrus will be defending his Xtreme Title against Michael Lively. Lively has held every APW Title except the Xtreme Title and Chris Cyrus has been the Xtreme Title for almost a whole year. History will be made in this match with either Lively will be come the first APW grand slam Champion or Chris Cyrus will be champion for one full year.
The second match made is for the World Title as Level One will defend against Slade Craven. Slade has defeated many major superstars including Jesse Nunez and as well holds a win over Michael Lively in tag team action. Level One comes off a grueling feud with Pence Weatherlight and will face off against a man he beat before. Slade and Level One are no strangers as both men faced off just weeks before Rasslemania 5 back in March. This match will a great match to end the year with.
Also a huge announcement was made by APW Owner, President Hurricane Jeff as he came out to the ring after being away for over 2 month an made a huge challenge. Jeff challenged President Mac from EWC. Hours after the show went off the air, President Mac was quick to make a statement when asked about the challenge
"Of course I saw the so called challenge made, I'm an avid watcher of APW in between commercials of The Office, Community and 30 Rock"
Mac has yet to accept the challenge, but President Jeff will be on hand at Overdrive to comment on Mac’s response.
This week on Overdrive, 5 matches will take place. In the opening match, a Triple threat match be happen between Mark Moment, Jason Royce and Assassin. This is a big match for all 3 guys as all 3 need the win.
Our second match will be a rematch from a match that never got started last week. Pence Weatherlight will take on Joe Martinez. Last week, still upset from losing the World Title match at One Night in Hell, Pence took his frustrations on Joe Martinez, attacking him before the match and tried to end his career. Joe spent a day in the hospital from the attack and was later released. Joe will be looking for major pay back in this match.
Third, we will see in a non title match, Biggs taking on John Green. Biggs has been on a role as of late and John Green is looking to put his name back on the APW map. A win for John Green could get him a future Overdrive title match. The Overdrive title is the only singles title Green has yet to told in APW, so winning this match could get him a future Overdrive title shot
In another Non Title match, Chris Cyrus will face off against the #1 contender for the world title, Slade Craven. The last time these two fought in Singles completion was a Shockwave for the Xtreme Title and Chris Cyrus out on top. Chris Cyrus looks to prove that Slade Craven isn’t deserving of the World Title shot and by beating the Number One Contender, Chris Cyrus could prove that he could be a future World Champion in APW.
And in our main event, in another non title match, the rematch from Rasslemania 5, in what some may consider the match of the year, Level One takes on Michael Lively. There’s a lot of bad Blood between these two and its going to be exciting to see just how much hate they still have for each other this Wednesday on Overdrive. Level One defeated Lively at Rasslemania to win the APW World title for the first time. A win for Lively tonight could get him back in the World title picture some day.
All this and more to take place This Wednesday on Overdrive. Be sure to tune into what is expected to be an exciting show. This will be the 30th Overdrive show of this year, so this is a huge show heading towards the final PPV of the year on December 20th.
