The Rules of APW:
We at Action Packed Wrestling have strived to create a low-drama, adult environment. It's a fairly simple process: if you want to be a part of APW, act like an adult, and there shouldn't be any issues. This is a great place with a ton of great history - you won't find a better group of people to hang around OOC. Check out the rules below before signing-up to be a part of the APW!
When Joining APW:
1. Before being booked on a show, you must post an application in the sign-up section. A debut RP isn't necessary before being booked. If your application is incomplete, I may as you to fix it before you're booked.
2. We are an original wrestler only e-fed. Be creative when coming up with your own megastar - we don't want any carbon copies of Daniel Bryan's, Bray Wyatt's or Steve Austin's. You'll enjoy your time much more if you develop your own personality and see where the story takes you. Please check the roster page to see if your pic base has been taken and/or theme song you would like to use for your character.
3. You may have more than one character but understand that only one of them will be booked weekly (the only exception is if a tag-tam match has been booked.)
Roleplay Rules:
3. Do not write or attack another person's character in your roleplay without their written permission. Failure to abide by this rule will result in an automatic loss on the card with no questions ask.
4. There will be absolutely no personal attacks in roleplays - this goes for race, family, or religion. You will be immediately withdrawn from the APW and depending on the violation - banned from the boards. We've had issues with this in the past and it will not be tolerated - it doesn't matter if you've been a part of APW since the beginning or two weeks, keep the personal attacks out of your roleplays. While swearing isn't banned, find a more creative way to express yourself than dropping fifty F-bombs per promo; it's not fun to read and makes you sound like you're twelve.
5. While reality can somewhat be suspended - try your best to keep superhero elements out of your promo. You don't need to be flying around, shooting fans with machine guns, or being 100 feet tall.
6. Two (2) no-shows will remove you from the roster until you talk with me. I realize that sometimes things pop-up and stop you from being able to post but at least give me a head's up or let me know what's going on. If you no-show your first match, you'll be removed from the roster until speaking with me.
7. Please don't complain if you lose. The APW is an amazingly competitive place to roleplay - you're going to lose somewhere along the way. It happens to everybody. Use it as motivation for the next round. If all you're concerned with is compiling a massive win/loss record, rather than working with your opponents to create a good story, APW probably isn't the place for you.
8. You have 10 minutes after your roleplay has been posted for edits. Anything beyond that will be an automatic disqualification. Also, roleplays must be posted on our boards - not a link from another host board. I cannot tell if you've changed the RP after it's been posted.
10. Vice President Johnny Rebel has the final word on any issue. APW creator President Jeff is still active on the boards, as well as former Asylum general manager Biggs. Rebel will lean on them heavily for wisdom but will make the final decision as the sole operator of APW. They are around because they love the APW and have enjoyed it tremendously over the years but please don't bother them with staff questions - if you're concerned over something, please contact Johnny Rebel.
Other Minor Things:
The roleplay limit for an APW show and pay-per-view will be 2,500-to-3,000 words. You may go over the 2,500 soft limit but anything over 3,000 will result in an automatic disqualification. The goal of the APW's rebirth is to create a relaxed environment with a heavy emphasis on storylines and in-ring segments. Occasionally, a pay-per-view match may have the limits raised with permission of both megastars.
Each roleplay must be a minimum of 500 words to be considered a valid submission. Anything less than that is a waste of the match writers time and with two weeks between shows, you should have time to write a minimum of 500 words.
Deadlines will be posted on the cards.
