Overdrive Preview
As the road to Rasslemania continues, APW makes its stop in Topeka, Kansas. Five matches are scheduled to take place. Beginning with two guys who both lost their first APW match last week. Jimmy Jazz takes on Jim Steel. Both men need this win, its going to be interesting to see who wants it more.
Vic Diaz will be taking on Assassin. Both men come off victories from last week. Which men will have their momentum continue on into this match?
The Return of Jesse Nunez. Jesse makes his in ring return going up against Biggs. Jesse last singles match in APW was back in October at One Night in Hell where he was defeated by Victor Hades. Biggs and Jesse once fought in the Semi Finals of the Test for the Best tournament in which Jesse won the match as well as the tournament. We can be sure Biggs hasn’t forgotten about that.
Coming off a defeat at New Years Retribution, Sabur returns to the ring to take on a man who has already started the year better than anyone. Sabur faces the 2010 Survive and Conquer winner, Victor Hades. Former APW Champ, Sabur looks to get back on his winning ways while Victor Hades looks to continue his rise to the top
And our main event, in a non title contest, a match made by President Jeff last week, Level One will take on the rookie, Damian Dimitri. Trained by Trevor Blackwell and in only his second match, Damien faces his biggest challenge of his wrestling career. With no secret that President Jeff doesn’t like The Blackwells and his clan, it looks like Jeff is going to make Dimitri’s life hell in APW. Can Dimitri over come the odds? Tune into Overdrive to find out
Also, The Power Struggle of Overdrive between President Jeff and The Axis of Awesome continues. Will Sabur accept Jason Royce’s challenge at Rasslemania? What will the mask man have in store for Level One? All this and more, This Thursday Night on Overdrive.
The APW Overdrive Championship
As announced by President Jeff last week on Overdrive. The attack by the mask man on Pence Weatherlight at New Years Retribution has injured Pence and there for forcing Pence to Vacate the APW Overdrive Title. At this time we do not know the full status of Pence’s Injury, we hope to get more info soon. As far as the Overdrive Title goes, rumors have circulated that a new champion will be crowned at Rasslemania VI.
APW Hall of Fame, Class of 2010
A new tradition began at last years Rasslemania with 3 wrestlers being inducted into the APW Hall of Fame. Last year we saw Razor Ryan, Matt Metal and Alternativ being inducted. This year, another 3 men who have effected us in the Wrestling world will be inducted. Expect the first Induction to be announced Next Week on Overdrive.
Overdrive Match confirmed for Next Week
President Jeff has wasted no time in announcing a match to take place on Next weeks Overdrive. Former Tag Team Champion will one more time, and for the last time face off against one another. Chris Cyrus and Jason Royce will fight next week. Chris Cyrus has just been cleared from his doctors to return to full in ring competition. Chris Cyrus suffered a mild knee injury during his match at Christmas Chaos against Michael Lively. With Jason Royce announcing his retirement last week on Overdrive, Chris Cyrus has gone on record to say “When I heard this guy was retiring, I just had to beat him one more time.”
The O’Connor Brothers Released
And on a sad note. As of February 16th, 2010, the O’Connor Brothers has been granted their release from their APW contract. Austin and Aiden O’Connor first joined APW back in October. We with the team all the luck in their future.
