NEW YORK - Very few details regarding the Extreme Wrestling Corporations upcoming Pay-Per-View event STRANGLE-MANIA have been revealed as of yet, but gears may have just been changed this morning as the internet is a buzz regarding an open challenge made by retired Wrestling Super Star Shadow Man.
Turns out Shadow Man has been busy training once again and plans to take part not only at this months STRANGLE-MANIA but also plans to dictate the main event of the special 3-Hour 13th Anniversary show on April 5th of this year.
Here is a snippet of the statement that ran on CNN late last night
What a surprise and what a headline, but of course the challenge didn't stop there. Shadow Man also went onto to discuss his involvement for the EWC's 13th Year Anniversary show.
And there it is. Two giant challenges that include 5 of the biggest names in EWC history. Will Shadow Man be able to pull it off? Will this public challenge be enough to bring Level One back into the EWC? and Cameron Hayden out of retirement?
This is one news feed that we will be watching very very closely.

"...it has become apparent to me that the state of the Extreme Wrestling Corporation has been in a bit of a limbo stage. The Sedition led by The Rev and Gladiator have taken control and are defacing the company that I put on the map not too long ago.
Many of you here today, and those watching this at home remember that night on May 30th 2005. That night I made my StrangleMania debut and that night ShadowMania was born. For 4 straight years I put my body on the line for the fans. Broken bones, stitches, collapsed lungs and many other damages added up over those 4 years and prevented me from Wrestling in last years StrangleMania.
I am here to tell you all that that streak stops at one. I will be at StrangleMania this year. I will compete at StrangleMania this year. ShadowMania will be taken to the next level THIS year. I am formally announcing an open challenge to BDC. BDC, I can't think of anyone else that would better suit a return to the ring for me, then you. You are one of the greatest competitors in the game, and I think it's time for the two of us to show these new kids what it's all about"

"On April 5th the EWC and it's new hybrid brand chilli combo thing known as BRAWL/RAMPAGE is celebrating the 13 Year anniversary of the Federation by putting on a giant reunion show of sorts. I have heard Steve Bennett is showing up and a few others. Lets face it, this show won't be anything unless the man you know and love, the Peoples Champion... Shadow Man shows up and main events the damn thing.
So here is my next challenge. Moses Lake, Level One and Cameron Hayden. Three of the biggest names in recent EWC History and also three people who have been named to the Hall of Fame before me. They are linked to some of my biggest and most memorable matches of all time and I challenge all 3 of you to a match. The four of us, all in one ring for one last time. One on One on One on One. The match doesn't end until only one of us is left standing and declared the winner. It's up to you kiddies"
