With Rasslemania VI coming to an end, APW kicks off its new era with a bang. The past week has been huge for APW, with Rasslemania, the UWF Farewell show, new staff members, wrestlers returning and new people coming in.
Lets start with the UWF show that took place last Saturday on March 27th. Half Baked HomecommingFor you who don’t know, the UWF was a fed created back in 2001 which was a parody of WWE at the time with hillbilly, redneck characters and atmosphere. The fed ended without any “Final” show, so a one night only show was put together for the night before Rasslemania. If your in a mood for a good laugh, be sure to check this event out. Next we had Rasslemania VI which was a HUGE success. Seven matches including a 4 way ladder match, a battle royal, a Scaffold match, a match for control over Overdrive, a Hardcore in Hell death match, a grudge match and a 60 minute iron man match. History was made as Hellfire K.I.D became the new APW Overdrive Champion. We saw the Return of former APW Heavyweight Champion, John Green, who went on to win the Battle Royale. In one of the most brutal things ever saw in APW, we saw Jesse Nunez defeat Victor Hades by throwing him off a scaffold. For one night only, The Perfect Storm (Hurricane Jeff and Dr. Matt) team up to defeat The Axis of Awesome with a little help from Slade Craven. Michael Lively successfully defended his Xtreme Title against Damian Dimitri. Sabur and Jason Royce wrestled to a double count out in what was Jason Royce last match in APW. And in our main event, we saw Pence Weatherlight defeat Level One 2-1 to become the new APW Heavyweight Champion. To view the entire results, go to

This week APW scored big with the new additions to his roster.
First, the return of former Heavyweight Champ and the 2008 Test for the Best winner, Doctor Phate (Now going by Phate). Also, one of the biggest free agents on the market. A big star in SCW. In the biggest news of the week, behind the scenes, APW has hired some new staff. Along with Slade Craven as already a Staff member, APW has hired Assassin. Assassin competed in his last APW for the time being at Rasslemania VI. But the biggest news, For over 2 years, “President” Hurricane Jeff has been in full control of APW’s weekly show, Overdrive. But now, President Jeff has decided to take a break from running the show to focus on other aspects of APW to help grow the fed. Taking his place will be former APW Overdrive Champion and one half of the Axis of Awsome, BIGGS.

In our fourth match, the new Overdrive Champ, Hellfire K.I.D takes on Damian Dimitri.
The returning John Green takes on Jesse Nunez. A win for either men here could put them in the heavyweight title picture.
And in our main event, a rematch from November of 2008 when APW ran a 2nd show, Meltdown, two former Heavyweight Champs face off as the returning Phate takes on Level One.
Also expect appearances by The Axis of Awesome, President Jeff, and the new APW Heavyweight Champion of the World, Pence Weatherlight. All this and more.
