If all possiable, DO NOT update your PS3 with this update. I did the update Friday morning and then last night, I've been having problems with my PS3 freezing in the middle of my games, and then not being able to shutdown properly. From what I researched, I'm not the only one having the same problem. which sucks cause I was on a roll in FFXIII
So if you haven't already, don't update. If you have updated, please report here with any problems you may have.

Level One Sucks THATS IT! RP BATTEL No, on the real though... isnt this like the second time SOMETHING this has happened in 1-2 months? EDIT; the clock. I mean for fuck sakes. Not to say, other platforms do not have problems, but it really just shows how fucking lazy and unmotivated these people are.

My PS3 used to freeze most of the time but when I downloaded the update it actually stopped freezing. I think it's because I have a older model.

I haven't had any problems at all actually with this update.
Also, you HAVE to get this update. If you don't do the update, you will end up losing the ability to collect trophy's, chat, play games that require the update and a few other things.
It was created to force people to stop using another OS in the PS3 and from running some new hack that was created recently.

Last night I tried reinstaling the update and still no luck. I guess I have to wait for a new update and if that doesn't work, looks like I'll need to buy a new PS3.

Last night I tried reinstaling the update and still no luck. I guess I have to wait for a new update and if that doesn't work, looks like I'll need to buy a new PS3. It looks like the whole issue surrounding the recent PS3 update to v3.21 is far from over, as gamers are now looking to sue Sony for taking away a feature which they argue was part of the purchase process.
Of course, we are talking about the ‘Install Other OS’ option, which Sony removed with the PS3 update. It was quite a bitter blow for PS3 ‘fat’ owners, as thats all Sony did – i.e no new features came, only existing ones removed.
A rather lengthy message to gamers around the world is now being posted on sites like Facebook and Twitter, giving gamers information to take this matter further.
One of the lines of the text reads: ”If you have been affected by Sony’s 3.21 update file a complaint to the BBB and the FTC and your corresponding Attorney General.” This is what happens when you really anger your trusted fanbase it seems

This is why everyone should go back to playing Pong on Atari ;D LMAO - I still have my Atari, and the original NES too. Oddly enough I find them more enjoyable to play I rarely play games on my PS3, I use it a whole lot for Bluray and for networking, so most of the problems don't effect me, unless I get into the mood to play Uncharted or Madden

I love uncharted. And I still got my NES as well, and my SNES. May have to play those now that my PS3 isn't working

Mine Happened like 30 hours after I updated. So I got maybe 7 or 8 hours worth of play time before it started acting up. Its so weird that so many people have the same problem as me but theres others with the same system model or even older models that have no problems

So last week my PS3 completly stopped reading games and DVD's. So I went last night and bought a new one, a 120GB Slim. The store I bought it from had a no tax Sale this weekend, so I bought that and Brutal Legends which was marked down to $25. So all together, it cost me like 325$ and I saved over 40 bucks in Tax
If this one breaks down in 2 years and I have to buy another one, I'm gonna be super pissed

Mine will freeze every other week but not too frequent. But since the update it actually stopped freezing as much as it used to.
