Cooper Conrad: The Journey Pt. 3

Amazing! Just, simply amazing! It’s funny, I put so much thought into the drama of my debut match in APW, that I never envisioned it going the way that it did! Impressive is the word that they continuously used to describe the match, and myself. But how impressive was it, really? It’s like I said last week, who are Cid Phoenix ad Josh Majesty anyways? Thursday night, I proved to the world just how fake these “athletes” really are, and I showed them exactly what a true athlete can do! I do however, have some sort of reservations to what went down last Thursday night on Overdrive, as I won my match in a matter of seconds. Yeah, I could have continued to beat on the two of my opponents for a number of minutes, but I saw my opportunity, and took full advantage of the situation. But while a win like that will impress most people by showing some sense of domination, I was left unsatisfied. But what else is new? The Chosen One is never really ever satisfied, ever.
You see, I am what most people would call a perfectionist. Whatever it is that I do, I have to do it to the best of my abilities, or it just doesn’t set right with me. On Overdrive, I wasn’t able to make the point that I wanted to make. In seconds, I was victorious in my debut. Impressive, yes. Prove anything, no. It was my personal goal to prove to everyone that Cooper Conrad has the talent and ability to take Action Packed Wrestling over all by himself. While I might have shown them that my opponents were both big jokes, I didn’t really show them much, or give them too much to go off of as it comes to me. Thus, I am left unsatisfied with my work, which means that I will just have to work twice as hard at the pay per view to make the impression that I want to make. It’s not like I care what people think of me, truth is, I could really care less. However, when it comes to this business, I want to retire being known as the greatest in-ring performer of all time. I might have been able to create one hell of a debut memory, but that win was not me, it wasn’t the style of Cooper Conrad.
I am a technical genius in the ring, and there will be no denying that when I show Action Packed Wrestling what I can really do. My style in that ring has no comparison, there is no one quite like me! With every move, with every step, with every drop of sweat, Cooper Conrad is one of a kind. APW must obviously already know this. They went from not even knowing my name, to placing me into an Action Packed Wrestling Xtreme Championship match at the Test for the Best pay per view. Even though I don’t think so, that had to be some quite of a first impression! Who knows, maybe the president isn’t that dumb, maybe he does sometimes know pure talent when he sees it. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Nonetheless, Cooper Conrad gets his first chance at APW gold this Sunday night. I’ve been placed into a Championship Scramble match, meaning that at anytime during this contest, I could become the Xtreme Champion numerous times! With that being said, this also means that 4 other guys have that same opportunity. However, they’re not The Chosen One.
I have said it time and time again, from the moment I was born, I was bred for success. My entire life was nothing but one win right after another, from the time I first started competing in baby pageants, right up until this very point. Even at the tender age of a year old, I was winning contests with my good looks alone! When it came to physical domination later on, forget about it! There wasn’t anyone better! It was so great to be me, still is in all honesty. I am a winner, what I do is win. Winning is what I do best, and it’s not going to change anytime soon. The other men participating in this Championship Scramble may be quite talented and worthy of their position in the company, but none oft hem are even half the winner that I am! None of the other men in this contest were brought up the way that I was, prepared to take on and beat the entire world if need be! The way that I see it, I am already 1 up on all of them, giving me the undoubted advantage going into the pay per view!
It’s because of things like this, that people hate Cooper Conrad. It’s fine, I enjoy the hate, I relish in it! I bask in the hate of others, it’s what keeps me going day in and day out. If I didn’t have people who absolutely hated my guts, then why would I work as hard as I do, to become as successful as I have? It just wouldn’t make any sense. But instead of hating me for who I am, these people should learn to love and worship me! Let’s face it, I’m as close to God as any man have ever come in history! For Christ’s sake, look at me! Perfect body, perfect life, perfect everything! Plain and simple, I am perfect! The only other man in history that was perfect, was the big man that created the Heaven’s and the Earth! So why not embrace me, and love me for everything that everyone else is not? Maybe if people started trying to be like me instead of hating every fiber of my being, this world would be a much more sophisticated, near-perfect place. But instead, they take great pride in hating me, using excuses that are just as ludicrous as the hate itself!
With everything that I’ve got going on, I was offered some time to speak openly to Action Packed Wrestling, and their audience. Phil, who is so unprofessional that he doesn’t even let me know what his last name is, asked me to do a interview with him for the APW website. Regardless of the fact that this guy doesn’t even have the respect to tell me his full name, I decided to grant the request. I figured that it might be a good time to show everyone exactly who I am, to show them that no matter what they do, or how loud they boo me, I am never going to change. As I sat down in the conference room I didn’t exactly get the vibe that Phil was on my side. Another doubter, great, this should be fun.
Phil: First off Cooper, I want to thank you for coming in today. After seeing what you did in your triple threat match last week, I just had to be the first man in Action Packed Wrestling to sit down and talk to you. This is going to be a real treat for our internet audience.
A real treat for the internet audience? Does this guy not even do research on the people he is going to be speaking with? Isn’t that apart of the job criteria? Everyone knows that I could give a care less about what the fans want, or what they think! Hell, if you ask me, I’d say that some average Joe off of the streets could have came in here posing as me and gotten away with it, with this guy around! Who in the hell doesn’t know who they’re going to be interviewing before they conduct it? Again, another point docked off in the professionalism department!
Conrad: Phil, I’m not here to please the internet audience, or any audience for that matter! I understand that giving the fans a hell of a contest is apart of the job, but other than going out to that ring and kicking asses, I have nothing else for the fans. You should find it an honor to even have me on your little internet shindig in the first place.
Phil: An honor? You’re a rookie! You’ve had one match in your entire career, why in the hell would I consider it an honor to interview a rookie? I mean, I was impressed last week, sure, but who knows, it could have been a fluke!
You’ve got to be kidding me! A fluke? A FLUKE? Come on now! Just by looking at me, you can tell that my victory in my debut match was no fluke! This guy has to be slow or something! I guess after all, Hurricane Jeff is an equal opportunity employer. Come to think of it, I did hear the roomer that Biggs is packing absolutely nothing in those tiny little tights of his, maybe this place is as equal opportunity as it gets!
Conrad: Is that what you think? That my win last week was just a fluke? Do you think that Cooper Conrad is nothing more than a one shot wonder?
Phil: That’s not exactly what I said. I am just saying that we have no clue what you can do against other competition. While you were able to win last week in seconds, that was just your debut match! What is going to happen further on in your career?
Conrad: I’ll take that as question number one, and you’re asking about my future? Trust me when I tell you that no future burns brighter in Action Packed Wrestling than the one that Cooper Conrad possesses! I was born to do this, born to dominate this sport! Winning is what I do best, and my future in this company on and this earth is any and everything that I want it to be! It’s all mine for the taking!
Phil: You talk a big game, and I must admit, your debut last week was quite impressive. You were able to score a pin fall in a matter of seconds against not 1, but 2 individuals. What were your thoughts after the match, and what are you thinking today?
Conrad: My thoughts are the same right now, as they were when I left the ring victorious last Thursday night. I knew that it was impressive, I was able to outsmart both men and get the win by embarrassing the both of them, but I wasn’t able to show the world what I can do! Cooper Conrad has so much more to offer in this sport than just a 20 second match! Just wait, Phil! You just wait and see! Cooper Conrad is more technically sound in that ring than anyone that you’ve ever seen before! When it comes to professional wrestling, soon it will be synonymous with my name! Cid Phoenix and Josh Majesty were just the first unlucky 2, on a list of many that will fall victim to my talent! There will be many, many more to come, that I can promise you! Do you think that I am just going to stop there? I give you my word, there is no such think as one and done around me! I don’t even know the meaning of the phrase!
Phil: Again, you talk a pretty big game there for a kid who’s only had one match in his professional career. I still wonder why you were able to go straight from the training room into the big leagues. You weren’t even on the independent circuit, and no one has ever cut their teeth for the first time in Action Packed Wrestling. I don’t know whether to call that impressive, or to call you out on riding the coattails of your father.
Here we go, I knew it was only a matter of time before someone brought that on! What in the hell do I have to do to get any notoriety around this place? I go out there last week and make fools of my foes, and they still doubt me? Better yet, they doubt me more than ever? What in the hell is wrong with this place? Did I sign a contract to work for a mental institution?
Conrad: Riding the coattails of my father? You’re kidding me, right? If there is one thing that I will never do, it is live off of the name of my father. Yes, we bare the same last name, and even a striking resemblance, but nothing else about us is the same! My father was well known in our sport, however he was not the winner that his son was born to be! I am different, I am the evolution of our family, and this sport. That means that I am better than him, and better than everyone else who has come before me! It started last week, when I proved without a shadow of a doubt, that Cooper Conrad was bred for success! My father made a fool of himself in the ring, if you total his wins and losses in his career, he’d be lucky to break even! The man tarnished his legacy by sticking around way too long, however my legacy, will go on and on forever in this business! Nobody really remembers my father, no clips or highlights of his career can be found on any professional wrestling television programs today. I see legends on wrestling programming all of the time! But none of them are my father, thus he must not be a legend! Me, I will be a legend in this business one day, I will be a champion of champions, that flourishes into an innovator and a pioneer! I get what I want, and what I want is to be a success! Hard work has never bothered me, and I will work as hard as I have to, to leave the legacy that I so desire!
Phil: Forgive me, Cooper, but do you expect everyone to believe your hype? I, like many people, know all about your past accolades. But that was then, and this is now. This is professional wrestling, Action Packed Wrestling is the big leagues. Are you more than confident that your winning ways will continue, or are you just falling victim to the trap of your own hype?
Conrad: How can I be hyping myself up? My track record speaks for itself! My entire life, it’s just been one success right after another! I can’t help it that I am good, I just am! Everything that I do, I always am the best at it! Cooper Conrad is a perfectionist! I work as hard as I can, to be as perfect as I can! Believe me when I tell you Phil, that you will never meet a harder working man I your life! I bust my ass everyday to make sure that I am at tip top shape! I work as hard as I do to make sure that I am the man that sets the standards! Soon, I will be setting standards in Action Packed Wrestling, while all the other boys in the back watch on from a distance!
Phil: Well, you have a shot at proving that to the world this Sunday at Test for the Best. You impressed Biggs so much last week, that he wants to see what you’ve got in this scramble. How do you think you will fare against some of the best competition that Action Packed Wrestling has to offer?
Conrad: This Sunday will be no exception to the rule that Cooper Conrad is better than anyone in APW. In my second match with the company, I will walk out of this pay per view event the new APW Xtreme Champion, I have no doubt in my mind. Everyone in this company, all of our fans, and yes, you, you all need to come to terms with the fact that the Cooper Conrad era has just begun. I am going to be around for a long, long time there Phil. I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon, and I plan on making examples out of all 4 of my opponents this Sunday at Test for the Best! Trust me, Phil. Cooper Conrad is destined for APW gold. I was born a success, and my success will do nothing but continue.
Phil: What do you mean? People need to come to terms?
Conrad: Phil, ever since I was a child, people have hated me. Now, while I don’t mind the hate, I hate the fact that people are hating me for all the wrong reasons. People hate me because I do things like go out to the ring in my debut match, and win in a matter of seconds! People hate me because of things like this, and things like my perfect looks and amazing body! While they sit behind their television and computer screens shoving Twinkies and dingdongs down their fat throat holes, I am busting my ass and becoming a success in life, and that’s why they hate me! People can use any excuse that they want to, but I know what the truth is! People hate me, because they want to be me.
Phil: Did you ever think that people might not like you because of your attitude? I mean, you do have quite a big ego, and most people don’t take too kind to large egos.
How many times am I going to have to go through this? Ego? Come on! Cooper Conrad is the way he is, because he has earned the right to be that way! I can’t help it, that’s just the way it is!
Conrad: With my ego in question here, Phil, let me counter with another question. If you were even half the success that I am, wouldn’t you have some bit of an ego too? Look at everything I have done in my short time on this planet! I have shown the world that winners can be born any second, but most are born suckers! I have abilities that come natural to me, that some people work an entire lifetime to never even obtain! I have fought for the right to have my ego, and I wear it proudly like colors of religion! People can hate me for it all they want, because until they can stop me and knock me off the highest point of the Action Packed Wrestling ladder, they just need to sit back and shut the hell up. Enjoy the show, that’s just it! Enjoy the show! Because you can always count on the fact that Cooper Conrad is going to put on one hell of a contest! Bottom line, people pay to see me! They pay to come and boo me! As long as I have you forking out the cash in one way or another, I will always be a success! Be it that you’re coming to watch me win, or even to watch me get my ass kicked, it doesn’t matter! I am a sports entertainer, and obviously I am doing something right if I have them talking this much!
Phil: Well Cooper, I can’t help but think that your ego doesn’t have everything to do with it either, you know? You’ve kind of brought this onto yourself wouldn’t you say? Insulting fans and other APW competition? It comes out of your mouth all the time! Did you ever think that this might be some of the reason?
Conrad: Phil, do you honestly think that I could give a shit what the fans think? Look at me! They pay to see me, or they watch me on television! Cooper Conrad has no time to sit and watch television! I’m way too busy becoming a success! Maybe if some of the sweat hogs would put down the remote and try to live like me, they would develop the attitude that I have! Lazy people, and people in general, disgust me! I don’t understand what has happened to this world! What happened to all of the hard work? What happened to the American Dream? No one wants to work for it anymore, everyone alive expects it to just be given to them, and it makes me sick! So while those sheep sit out there and cheer or boo like puppets on strings, I will continue to bust my ass!
Phil: While opinions may differ, I only have 1 last question for you, and then I will send you on your way. I know you’ve got a busy life. But do you have anything to say to, or about your opponents at the pay per view?
Conrad: Well, let’s go right on down the line, shall we? Victor Hades made a triumphant return to the company last week, but let’s face it, he’s no Cooper Conrad. I am sure that he’s as fresh as a daisy, and ready to take on the world, but he’s never met anyone quite like yours truly. I think that after this Sunday night, you should take the opportunity to talk to him! Talk to all of my opponents at the end of the week, and have them tell you what I have been telling you all along! Because when I walk out of the pay per view with the Action Packed Wrestling Xtreme Championship, people are going to be forced to admit my successes, and to pay attention! But even with as successful as Victor Hades might be, he stands no chance in hell at walking out of the pay per view with MY gold. He stands about as much of a chance at Crazy Joe and Streets Wilson! Who are they anyways? A couple of no named pricks that think they stand a chance in the ring with the likes of me? Well, it looks like I have to take care of that, and I will do it the only way I know how! These 3 men that I have just mentioned have no reason to even be in the same ring with me! They should relish in the fact that they get to rub elbows with the best in the business! They don’t deserve what they’re getting! The way I see it, this should be a one on one match between Michael Lively and myself!
Phil: I noticed that you hadn’t mentioned Lively, why is that?
Conrad: Michael Lively might be the only one on the pay per view card, or in the company, that deserves to be in the ring with me! I’ve seen him work, and I must admit, I was quite impressed! Michael Lively has the “it factor”, there’s no denying that. Now, does that mean that I think he can beat me? Hell no! All that means, is that he stands a chance at giving me some good competition, but nothing more! I’ve heard him run his mouth already this week, talking about being better than everyone else, but it’s obvious to me that he has never heard of Cooper Conrad! Sure, I’ve heard of him. He’s a big star in the professional wrestling business, but when it’s all said and done, I will be bigger! No doubt about it!
Phil: Final thoughts?

Nobody really remembers my father, no clips or highlights of his career can be found on any professional wrestling television programs today. I see legends on wrestling programming all of the time! But none of them are my father, thus he must not be a legend! Me, I will be a legend in this business one day, I will be a champion of champions, that flourishes into an innovator and a pioneer! I get what I want, and what I want is to be a success! Hard work has never bothered me, and I will work as hard as I have to, to leave the legacy that I so desire!
Phil: Forgive me, Cooper, but do you expect everyone to believe your hype? I, like many people, know all about your past accolades. But that was then, and this is now. This is professional wrestling, Action Packed Wrestling is the big leagues. Are you more than confident that your winning ways will continue, or are you just falling victim to the trap of your own hype?
Conrad: How can I be hyping myself up? My track record speaks for itself! My entire life, it’s just been one success right after another! I can’t help it that I am good, I just am! Everything that I do, I always am the best at it! Cooper Conrad is a perfectionist! I work as hard as I can, to be as perfect as I can! Believe me when I tell you Phil, that you will never meet a harder working man I your life! I bust my ass everyday to make sure that I am at tip top shape! I work as hard as I do to make sure that I am the man that sets the standards! Soon, I will be setting standards in Action Packed Wrestling, while all the other boys in the back watch on from a distance!
Phil: Well, you have a shot at proving that to the world this Sunday at Test for the Best. You impressed Biggs so much last week, that he wants to see what you’ve got in this scramble. How do you think you will fare against some of the best competition that Action Packed Wrestling has to offer?
Conrad: This Sunday will be no exception to the rule that Cooper Conrad is better than anyone in APW. In my second match with the company, I will walk out of this pay per view event the new APW Xtreme Champion, I have no doubt in my mind. Everyone in this company, all of our fans, and yes, you, you all need to come to terms with the fact that the Cooper Conrad era has just begun. I am going to be around for a long, long time there Phil. I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon, and I plan on making examples out of all 4 of my opponents this Sunday at Test for the Best! Trust me, Phil. Cooper Conrad is destined for APW gold. I was born a success, and my success will do nothing but continue.
Phil: What do you mean? People need to come to terms?
Conrad: Phil, ever since I was a child, people have hated me. Now, while I don’t mind the hate, I hate the fact that people are hating me for all the wrong reasons. People hate me because I do things like go out to the ring in my debut match, and win in a matter of seconds! People hate me because of things like this, and things like my perfect looks and amazing body! While they sit behind their television and computer screens shoving Twinkies and dingdongs down their fat throat holes, I am busting my ass and becoming a success in life, and that’s why they hate me! People can use any excuse that they want to, but I know what the truth is! People hate me, because they want to be me.
Phil: Did you ever think that people might not like you because of your attitude? I mean, you do have quite a big ego, and most people don’t take too kind to large egos.
How many times am I going to have to go through this? Ego? Come on! Cooper Conrad is the way he is, because he has earned the right to be that way! I can’t help it, that’s just the way it is!
Conrad: With my ego in question here, Phil, let me counter with another question. If you were even half the success that I am, wouldn’t you have some bit of an ego too? Look at everything I have done in my short time on this planet! I have shown the world that winners can be born any second, but most are born suckers! I have abilities that come natural to me, that some people work an entire lifetime to never even obtain! I have fought for the right to have my ego, and I wear it proudly like colors of religion! People can hate me for it all they want, because until they can stop me and knock me off the highest point of the Action Packed Wrestling ladder, they just need to sit back and shut the hell up. Enjoy the show, that’s just it! Enjoy the show! Because you can always count on the fact that Cooper Conrad is going to put on one hell of a contest! Bottom line, people pay to see me! They pay to come and boo me! As long as I have you forking out the cash in one way or another, I will always be a success! Be it that you’re coming to watch me win, or even to watch me get my ass kicked, it doesn’t matter! I am a sports entertainer, and obviously I am doing something right if I have them talking this much!
Phil: Well Cooper, I can’t help but think that your ego doesn’t have everything to do with it either, you know? You’ve kind of brought this onto yourself wouldn’t you say? Insulting fans and other APW competition? It comes out of your mouth all the time! Did you ever think that this might be some of the reason?
Conrad: Phil, do you honestly think that I could give a shit what the fans think? Look at me! They pay to see me, or they watch me on television! Cooper Conrad has no time to sit and watch television! I’m way too busy becoming a success! Maybe if some of the sweat hogs would put down the remote and try to live like me, they would develop the attitude that I have! Lazy people, and people in general, disgust me! I don’t understand what has happened to this world! What happened to all of the hard work? What happened to the American Dream? No one wants to work for it anymore, everyone alive expects it to just be given to them, and it makes me sick! So while those sheep sit out there and cheer or boo like puppets on strings, I will continue to bust my ass!
Phil: While opinions may differ, I only have 1 last question for you, and then I will send you on your way. I know you’ve got a busy life. But do you have anything to say to, or about your opponents at the pay per view?
Conrad: Well, let’s go right on down the line, shall we? Victor Hades made a triumphant return to the company last week, but let’s face it, he’s no Cooper Conrad. I am sure that he’s as fresh as a daisy, and ready to take on the world, but he’s never met anyone quite like yours truly. I think that after this Sunday night, you should take the opportunity to talk to him! Talk to all of my opponents at the end of the week, and have them tell you what I have been telling you all along! Because when I walk out of the pay per view with the Action Packed Wrestling Xtreme Championship, people are going to be forced to admit my successes, and to pay attention! But even with as successful as Victor Hades might be, he stands no chance in hell at walking out of the pay per view with MY gold. He stands about as much of a chance at Crazy Joe and Streets Wilson! Who are they anyways? A couple of no named pricks that think they stand a chance in the ring with the likes of me? Well, it looks like I have to take care of that, and I will do it the only way I know how! These 3 men that I have just mentioned have no reason to even be in the same ring with me! They should relish in the fact that they get to rub elbows with the best in the business! They don’t deserve what they’re getting! The way I see it, this should be a one on one match between Michael Lively and myself!
Phil: I noticed that you hadn’t mentioned Lively, why is that?
Conrad: Michael Lively might be the only one on the pay per view card, or in the company, that deserves to be in the ring with me! I’ve seen him work, and I must admit, I was quite impressed! Michael Lively has the “it factor”, there’s no denying that. Now, does that mean that I think he can beat me? Hell no! All that means, is that he stands a chance at giving me some good competition, but nothing more! I’ve heard him run his mouth already this week, talking about being better than everyone else, but it’s obvious to me that he has never heard of Cooper Conrad! Sure, I’ve heard of him. He’s a big star in the professional wrestling business, but when it’s all said and done, I will be bigger! No doubt about it!
Phil: Final thoughts?
Conrad: Easy, this Sunday should be fun. But I will give fair warning, I am not to be taken lightly. Cooper Conrad is destined for greatness, and it will come at anyone’s expense! Success has no feeling when it comes to the victim, keep that in mind. I am a success, and furthermore, I am the future of this business! There’s nothing that none of these men in this Championship Scramble can do about it, and there’s nothing that anyone will ever be able to do, that is going to stop me! Mark my words, by the time the next Overdrive comes around, people will be calling Cooper Conrad the new APW Xtreme Champion!
With that being said, I stood from my seat and reluctantly shook the hand of the douche bag that had just conducted this horrendous interview. Thank God this is over! I couldn’t take it one more minute!
