You fuckers need to leave some Youtube URLs cause I am TIRED of having to copy/paste songs to hear them. These two videos are from dudes from the South who had AMAZING Debut Albums but haven't done SHIT since cause of the Captains in front of them holding them back from blowing up. I've always been a fan of both and still put they debut albums in rotation when I'm spinning my CDs, that's last generation music folks. Go 'head, Light It Up!
Murphy Lee came into the game right out of High School and has BEEN writing Nelly songs for YEARS! Dope flow, coulda been a Megastar!
Young Dro is a very odd dude with the word play but he has a mean flow when he chooses to have one. Maybe not the greatest music to the flow but he goes with it to the tee.

Nope, I was introduced to Rap through NWA. There is a difference between HipHop and Rap. Some just merge the line and the confusion began. There is a difference though..Carry on!

Hip hop is the culture. Graffiti art, break dancing, DJ/scratching and rap, ect. An argument could be made that hip hop rap is old school type instrumentals that are on the lighter more upbeat side of the scale - compared to darker more hardcore instrumentals with a focus on lyricism which would be considered rap. To me the distinction is useless. I call my own body of work in it's entirety hip hop music but on a song by song basis - it's a rap song.

Rap to me is Harder Music. Not pop songs with a flow. I refuse to call Pop Hoppers HipHop because the "Culture" of the music, the purity of the music in it's original form and based purpose has changed drastically. I know what the technical description of HipHop is but it's much more detailed than what people label.
If you're making dancing rap songs like Souljah Boy or some of the other Mainstream morons then I won't say that's Rap music. Good to hear your views on what HipHop is but I see it differently. YOU are HipHop, Rap but there are Mainstream Dudes I will not give that credit at being.

Nah I'm good with music of all variations. Brown does his thing and I'd be down to hear more from him flowing cause he ain't that bad. He's R&B first though and knows that himself so he's safe. You could play Billy Ray Cyrus or Miley to make it worse and I'd still remain President of your fan club.

I couldn't listen to more then ten seconds of that Chris Brown track.
Pure and utter garbage. I heard Justin Beiber spit a better flow.

Pure and utter garbage. I heard Justin Beiber spit a better flow. Funnily enough ... Naw, I jest. I think the first minute is weak but I don't mind the second when he goes off on Rihanna a bit - which is probably why I like the song 'cause I can't stand her.

I love the various artists shown on these forums. The styles of music people have and even if I dislike the artist, I still give it a play because the sound, the lyrics, the message is what brings me to liking something even if I have to hear it 50 times before I can enjoy it. Just weird I guess.
I also liked Tyrese when he tried Rapping, not very good by any means but Method Man did a track with him and dude KILLED it.

saw this track on Sucker Free yesterday, Joey Bada$$ ... I'm slowly getting back into hip-hop. Last I was deep into it was in the 90's. I don't do much of rap or hip/hop these days, really don't feel none of it.

"Tha Truth" - Dizzy Wright
Oddly enough, this man has become my favorite rap artist, hands down. Storytelling capabilities are wonderful. His outlook on the scene is intricate, sophisticated & noble. His lyrical work is stellar. Beats are 'dope'. Flow is beautiful.
