The scene cuts in to find the boisterous crowd of the IWC arriving at the IWC arena, there is a buzzing throughout the crowd as the anticipation of another night of blood and brawls begins to reach fever pitch, especially given the announcement made by the Blackwells two weeks ago, that they are taking over.
Cutting out of the hubbub, we see that there is a stir over towards the far side of the crowd, when the cameramonkey zooms in, we see Delilah, sportsbag over her shoulder as she walks through the crowd, heading towards the back entrance with a spring to her step. Delilah looks around her and a smile touches her lips briefly as she sees the camera, shifts the weight of her bag and raises her voice, “So, hey, Long Island, ready for bloodshed?”
If as cheap pop was on the agenda, then these words draw it. Delilah tucks a lock of hair behind her ear, running her hand through it for a moment as she considers her words, “Yeah, just what I thought! I mean this is IWC, right? I mean I watched this back in the day, no gender division, no tits and ass gimmicks, they had a roster that would tear each other to pieces, man, woman, monster, made no difference, right?” The louder pop shows that the crowd quite agree with this assessment, “Ok, you know what, forget had, forget past tense, the roster, to each man and woman, is still capable of that! I know it, I’ve done my research, and you know what? We don’t need skimpy outfits to draw in the IWC faithful. Oh, you’re getting them, I don’t exactly care about the outfit given, hey, I wear similar getups in any case, but…”
Delilah lets that sentence hang, takes a breath as the crowd noise spikes, “What Reggie quite obviously doesn’t see is that skimpy outfits and blood, guts and gore don’t have to be two different spots on the card, because you know what he expects in this one, right?” Delilah shakes her head, giving a roll of her eyes, “Soooooooooooooo, you want catfights?” The crowd boo at that, a Hell no can be quite readily heard, “I didn’t think so, and I think we have all covered it, if, and I mean if, we happen to come dressed as Indians and Pilgrims, that ain’t going to happen! So! I’ve been sitting, I’ve been watching, Amber, you are a game girl. You are edgy, you are violent, I love it. So I am going to answer your question in the spirit that it was asked, am I ready to take the next step? This is not, by far, my first run around the block, Amber. I have been in tagteam matches and I have been in more hardcore situations than you would care to count…and that’s if you only count the wrestling ring!” There is a laugh among the crowd from those who got what Delilah was alluding to with that comment, “In all seriousness, Amber, you can bring your Amber Alert, hell, turn that light red, because the Libertine came here looking to fight, the Libertine came here looking to leave her mark and the Libertine don’t feel like going into this at anything less than full steam, which is quite possibly going to be bad for anyone not doing likewise, fair warning.”
Delilah shrugs, “Hey, not like you probably actually need it, just putting it out there. I caught Arcadia’s promo, and her words, Amber, heed them. Tonight, we find out if Amber can handle a crimson mask, tonight we learn if Amber can fight through the pain barrier. You don’t need to ask those questions of the Hardcora Luchadora, you don’t need to ask those of The Diva of Extreme, you certainly do not need to ask those questions of the Libertine. Tonight, Amber, we will learn if you have just what it takes to run hardcore, to make red rivers flow. That is by no means disrespectful or me taking you lightly, Amber, it is a simple statement of fact, it takes more than a perfectly executed moonsault and a tightly synched in Indian Deathlock to survive in this world, it takes that little something that is indefinable in wrestling terms, and we will see if you have that little something, Amber, you will know that you have been in a war.
“As will your partner, but I know Isabella, she knows that already. She knows that I am going to hit the ground running, she knows well enough that when I set out to make an impact, it is damn well going to be felt. So we’re going to tussle again, baby doll, and…well let us make no bones about it, I know you like the back of my hand, you know me just as well, but here’s the difference, signora, this time, you don’t have Ryan running interference, you do not have him yanking referees out the ring, you don’t have him hiding a shotglass. Oh I know you carry your own little armoury, I will be expecting it, hey, you might have seen that that is not needed, given that weapons are pretty much scattered around, care of Arcadia, I really do have to thank her for that, the point is, it’s a level playing field, Isabella, we all have weapons, we all have one person watching our backs, none of us are getting wiped out with a chair beforehand, and you have to wonder, don’t you Isabella, if the Libertine took you to the very wire when you had help…”
Delilah gives the dirty smile she is well known for and moves on, “And then there is Arcadia, I will watch your back as I would my own sister’s, you have my word on that, I do not give it lightly nor break it, so you have it right when you speak to Reggie, we are going to make blood flow, we will show that we are every bit as capable of wrestling with a crimson mask as any man that he cares to throw at us, women in Japan have been doing such since the 70’s and 80’s, after all, long before many men Stateside had the idea. That is something that the four of us are going to have to show dear Reggie, I fear, because if he does not get the message, he is going to get…well there is ill feeling all around and if he has done his research, he knows how I take to authority that expect me to fit into a neat little box.”
Delilah smirks and walks a little through the crowd, in the middle of a throng of fans, “Reggie…you do not want to be on the receiving end of that, I assure you. You want to ask around, ask what happens when someone in power decides that they can run another down, doesn’t have to be me, doesn’t have to be my close ones, I will get involved. And I quite honestly don’t care, Reggie, who I piss off. Let me tell you as little something, I decided that a commissioner trying to make life hell for the woman who had built the place she now had authority over was plain wrong…in dealing with that, I pissed off a family dynasty, two tag teams, another stable, two authority figures and the Yakuza…and yes, that partridge in the pear tree didn’t get off lightly either! I am still here, I am still alive and kicking, I am still quite capable of making everything that you set out to do go wrong and I quite honestly do not care who you throw in my path. So learn this lesson, Reggie, learn a little respect, see the roster as it is, full of bloodthirsty warriors, men and women both, who will tear through anything that gets in the way, respect that, use that as a booker should, or it won’t be angry words and vague threats, Reginald, it will be a very graphic and personal example from someone who neither gives quarter nor asks for it.”
Delilah winks at the camera and then looks to the crowd still waiting to get in, “Well…I have to go get dressed, or undressed, but I’ll give you a fair warning, front three rows might get wet.” With that, the Libertine turns on her heel and this one fades to black.
