I tried listening to it, but it really isn't my thing. I'm a professional vocalist, and I make my money through singing and writing songs.
Your vocals need a lot of work - in my opinion. As for why it went over people's heads, the ideas are sound, but the execution isn't the best. There's to much going on in the music, and it's hard to focus on anything specific.
That being said, keep working at it. If it's your passion and your life, then continue doing your thing.
You put your self out there, in regard to putting your music on this site, and that's admirable. Probelm with that is, you can't get upset when people say they don't like it. You have potential, but in my opinion you need to simplify things a bit, and learn how to sing/rap properly.
Sorry if it's not what you wanted to hear, but it's my honest opinion.

No Problem the songs you heard were off my mixtape! I don't like doing commerical type music....I make what I feel! And I always say I don't do it for popularity but the sheer love. Also I had no problem with anyone's comments but Harvey & even Level One kid of spammed in their own way by having Harvey not really leaving type of critcism, And Level just promoting his stuff on my thread! And as for Rap/Sing I do in my own voice tone! And I'm very excellent at thanks for the compliment.....If I get better songs done but my live shows are always better!

Thanks for taking my critisism in the right way mate, that shows a lot of class, and I respect you for that! I like your passion for music, and you're right, you should keep doing what you love. Like I said, it's not my thing, but it would be a boring place if we all liked the same stuff

Chill the fuck out. It was a half-assed joke, even my comment to Branden. Anyone intrested has already checked my music out for the most part.
If anything, Branden helped you out by bumping this from the grave and having an extra person or two listen to it.
Light one up, please.

You don't do commercial music? You sound like Drake, flow like Drake and call it original. Which is Commercial cause everyone doing it. I'll listen to this tomorrow though and give you a full depooping on how I didn't like it.

Hmm okay let's see that review...and sounding like i s one thing, because i can't modify my damn vocal box...and flowing like him is not even true...I got a unique flow!

Not really...Your flow is Young Money-ish. Look at anyone else using the style, not hard to find another unoriginal rapper online. Most at Datpiff rips off from someone and bites style. You don't have your own style, ANYONE can argue that and prove me wrong. Nobody will because I'm not wrong. You should find another career path cause this one isn't going anywhere and that's just being honest.
If you flowed your own style I wouldn't say otherwise. I'm a realist RSM, I speak truth because it's just easier than making up a bullshit lie. It's what I hear when I play your mixtape. Someone else's style and it's a style not really any good to begin with. I think it's the tone you use which to me if you have to use something to "Advance" your voice for flow then it's not your calling. You have no emotion in your voice, no up and downs in vocal, just a steady pace that never exceeds to declines for anything. It's like your speaking through a Drake mixed with soft Wayne voice box. I think it'd studio created and it's phoney.
"The Reason" was garbage. Again, sounded like a watered down Drake track. Your lyrics aren't great, sort of watered down themselves. You make one liner metaphors and it's just trash to me man. No offense but it's why you've only had 100 listens. You can find 50 dudes sounding like that in Houston alone. Half of New Orleans rapping now too. You seem to me to be the same kinda dude who jumped on music cause it became easier to promote on your own online. Not that skills there or the fan base. And "ACTOR"? Srrious?
My Advice? You can keep the metaphors and the flow but raise the emotion a bit. Drop the box flow, take away the extra shit changing your voice because it takes away too much of the realness of who you're TRYING to be. Using your real voice would give people an up and down in your voice which that box sound doesn't give and that might help. My biggest disliking is the voice box sound because I call bullshit if you trying to say it's you. Cold blooded Scorpian? You pronounced it Scorp-IAN...LAME!!

Swaggpellent starts off decent, has bits throughout the track where I can hear your real voice. I suspect you don't use the box voice while Pop Rapping or almost Singing which is completely ruined when you bring in the chorus of Swaggpellent and go back to the Wayne-ish style that completely kills any love for the song.

No, I'm saying STOP using echos if that's what your using. Be you, your real voice flow. If you can't sound like that on stage or in front of the bathroom mirror then it's not real music. MUSIC. The thing to be enjoyed and felt not just heard and blahhed through making little sense to most who don't get the lame attempts at multiple metaphors throughout a 3 minute song. Song has melody and your voice doesn't carry that. BE yourself to be original, not have something create a new you from someone else's style.

I said the beginning of that one was dope but got off track. From the songs that aren't Cover songs, I like the music choice. Cover songs are a bit unoriginal but everyone is doing Mixes now of other people's tracks so it's whatever there. Being completely original with your songs means you are showing your true musical skill. You won't find Hopsin who is still underground doing a cover because he makes all his music and lyrics to that music and is original BECAUSE of it.
I'm not hating the sound of the music chosen, I'm hating on the echo and studio created voice you are using to flow. Be yourself in your flow, voice and all and then you have an argument of originality.

That's the ONE thing right now that I can say good about it. The Non-Covered tracks have good music. Be more of your real sound and see what happens.

First Page of the Topic has the Links. It's the kind of rap that Curt Hennig and "The West Texas Rednecks" sang about. It's like they KNEW these Mixtapes were coming...

I tried the links though and they were dead. That's why I asked if it was anywhere else. Shame too, because no one loves bad rap more than I do!

My thoughts after listening -
The Good Some of the mixes were damn nice, here are a few that I liked: Ice Ice Babies, Soon As I Go Home, It's Not Personal & Asshole.
Hey Love was my favorite track, my second favorite was "Nobody Coming to See You, Otis". Lyrically, I found "Otis" to be really good.
The Bad
Swaggpellent. [/b]Where was the hook? It was the same thing and just never changed. I really wanted to like it, and I felt like it was trying to build up to something, but it never did.. and that's a real shame. The lyrics WERE there for it, it just needed more.
Lyrics. Even with my thoughts above... overall, the lyrics are pretty bad, man. I'm not trying to just slam you here, but you should really think about getting a few friends to help you with your writing. It isn't terrible, but I can't get into the tracks because the lyrics are bad. Using "fuck" multiple times in a "love song" might seem like a good idea at first, but hearing it used in "Hey Love" reminded me of a little kid who just likes to say fuck for no reason.
The Ugly
Take it down a bit with the echoes, they're distracting and they take away from the track. Echoes are being overused in your tracks and they're making you sound extremely amateur. They come off like you're trying to compensate for your flow.
Put a little more emotion into your vocals. Honestly, it sounds like you're just reading it off a piece of paper, so it comes off a bit flat and emotionless. I need to invest in what you're saying, and it just isn't resonating, sadly.
Conclusion. It takes balls to put yourself out there and I respect that. For an amateur mix, it wasn't the worst thing in the world, but there are quite a few things you need to work on, obviously. Spend a little more time editing/producing your work and you'll be set.
