Branden Harvey gets off the plane. Here he is in Miami, Florida. As he looks over the beaches, he can't help but think about how beautiful it is here. He has never been to Miami before. But he has a problem he needs fixing.
He walks down the crowded streets. He looks at the address. It says, "[address removed for protection]." He looks at his Mapquest directions. It seems that he has quite a walk ahead of him.
As he walks, he thinks about his match this week against Jason Royce and Harry Durden. Jason Royce was in the main event of IWC two weeks ago. Branden had watched him compete. He's good. But Branden didn't feel too threatened.
He had watched Royce's promo on the IWC website. Royce had said he had never heard of him. Apparently Royce didn't watch IWC other than his own matches. Royce didn't seem to pay attention to who he was talking to, either. After his match two weeks ago, Branden had to listen to Royce bitch in the locker room for an hour and a half. Royce also keeps mentioning some fed called "WWE" in his promos. Branden doesn't know what that's about, but he's never heard of it.
Royce seems to think that he lost to Cyrus because he has Ellie. How is that possible? He also wants Cyrus to let him beat him at Massacre on 34th Street. What kind of competitor is that. Cyrus ditched Ellie anyway. What does he care what Royce does to her? he also seems to have gotten away so she could appear on Overdrive 100. Did Royce recapture her or something?
Royce says he's going to tear Branden apart. He hasn't shown Branden that he has the ability to tear anybody apart. What is he going to do? Decapitate him?
He says Branden is a loser just like Cyrus is. Didn't Cyrus beat him? Does that mean he expects Branden to beat him? Also, what is this thing he has about calling people "retarded monkeys?" How does he know what a retarded monkey looks like? Branden can only guess.
Royce has a bunch of weapons he is going to beat Harvey with. He says he'll beat him by "submission or pinball." Branden didn't even know that pinball was an option. Is there going to be a pinball machine to throw your opponent into? Branden hopes so. he loves pinball. But Branden is sure that he can beat Royce by submission or pinfall.
Royce is bringing his Nightmare Hammer to scare Branden. It's a little intimidating but not enough to scare Branden too much. Branden wonders what a half breed is and why Royce called him one. Is Royce racist? If he is, Branden should tell him that he's straight white. Oh well.
He keeps calling Branden a loser. And stupid. Royce can't seem to come up with any original insults. Branden would like to see Royce's one-eyed, purple-veined, trouser trout. It's probably the size of Royce's Christmas money. God knows Royce doesn't have much.
Who's the Miz? Branden's never heard of him. What's WWE? He's never heard of that either.
Royce says Branden is "as good as a vampire hunter is at finding and killing a vampire." Branden's surprised that Royce has such faith in him. This seems to contradict the "loser" image he was trying to paint before. Don't vampire hunter's usually kill vampire's? That what they do. Look at Blade (the vampire hunter, not the wrestler). Look at Buffy. Branden doesn't know what Royce is trying to get at here.
Branden knows that he doesn't need luck against Royce. And he will never wish he wasn't an IWC Misfit. Despite his problems with the Blackwells, Branden loves IWC. He never plans on leaving. He wants to be Insane Champion one day.
Jason Royce is a good wrestler. He has been in the business for longer than Branden. He's held titles in APW. He's held titles in EWC. He's even in the most advertised match at Massacre on 34th Street, a Fan's Bring The Weapons match. Branden is even looking forward to that match. He's even thinking about bringing a few weapons to pass out to the fans. But when Branden looks at Jason Royce, he sees a young man that is already past his prime. Branden hasn't even reached his prime yet. He's not afraid of Jason Royce.
Then there's Harry Durden. Durden is an unestablished wrestler that Branden hasn't heard much about. But he watched Durden's match two weeks ago. Durden lost. But he showed great skill in the match.
Branden started to look into Durden's past. Apparently he used to fight on the streets illegally. He followed that up by wrestling in the UK for two years. This guy already has more experience than Mr. Harvey. But he looks at the guy and realizes that he's been in the business for two years without a title to his name. How good can he be?
In Branden's short career, he's already the APW Xtreme Champion. He hopes to soon become the IWC Suicidal Champion. But he has to get through the Blackwells first. He also has to get a win, which he hasn't been able to do since joining IWC. Branden is already more successful than Harry Durden. As good as Harry is, Branden isn't afraid of losing to him.
That brings him to thinking about the Blackwells. He's not competing against them this week. But he's sure they're looming around, ready to strike at any moment. Especially Damian Dimitri. The Hybrid has already attacked him twice, as well as orchastrating a gang beating with all the Blackwells. He's tired of all the attcks from the Blackwells. That's why he's here. And here he is, arriving at his destination.
He walks up the stairs and knocks on the door. A woman answers.
"Fiona, right?" Branden asks.
"If it isn't Branden Harvey," she says. "Come in. Micheal will be with you in a minute."
Branden sits down and waits. There are two other men in the room. A largs, fat man with some facial hair and a built, bald man. He looks around the room. He was expecting something fancier. All that's here is a kitchen, a weapons room, and an upstairs bedroom. There's no TV, no house phone, no computer, nothing. Suddenly, a man comes down the stairs.
"Hello," says the man. "I'm Michael Weston. What can I do for you?"
"I have a problem. There's these guys that keep harrassing me. I want them to stop."
"How'd you find my place?"
"Fiona contacted me and told me you guys could help me. When I asked for the address, she gave it to me."
"What can I say?" asks Fiona. "I like wrestling. There's just something about big men in tights sweating all over each other and trying to tear each other apart."
"Whatever, Fi," interupts Michael. "But I don't want this done regularly. Now," He looks back at Branden. "What are these men doing? How are they harrassing you?"
"Well," Branden responds. "One of them attacked me after my debut and busted me open. Then, prior to my debut match, he attacked me again during an interview and slammed me hard on the ground. That same day, after he beat me in my debut match, he had his friends beat the hell out of me. I was in the hospital for three days. They won't leave me alone. Fiona says you guys can help. I need your help. Please?"
"What are their names?"
"Damian Dimitri, Trevor Blackwell, and Kristina Blakwell."
"Okay. We'll do it. Sam, Jesse, we have a job. let's get to it."
"Okay, Mikey," says Sam.
"Let's go whip some bad guys," says Jesse.
"Good," says Michael. "Because I have a plan."
