(The scene opens up outside the back door of a building. It's hard to tell which building, but it is the back door. Standing outside are Mookie and Pookie LaBraun. Mookie is wearing a black pimp suit, while Pookie is wearing a black jacket, black skull cap, and a pair of blue jeans. Mookie has his cell phone to his ear and looks impatient.)
"So, Mook, do you think he's wise to us?"
"Wise? There's no way that dope is wise to anythin'. We got this one, Pook."
"Excellent. It's been a hard road to get here but I think we're finally at the end."
"Not quite. I still gotta hear back from tha Colonel. Gotta make sure we're in the clear here."
"What's to worry about? He went to the diner to convince Rico he was working against us. We're golden."
"There's still a chance though, man. I don't wanna end up jumpin' the gun on this one. We've worked to damn hard to get here. I don't wanna fuck it up."
(Pookie nods his head as he looks around the alley where they currently stand.)
"Fuck! Gramps needs to answer his phone!"
"Maybe he can't hear it. Need to get him a hearing aid or somethin'."
(Mookie chuckles.)
"You never know man, he just might. We'll have to ask him the next time we see 'im."
"Hey, Mook, do you think he'd turn on us?"
"What do you mean? Like, dime us out?"
"Yeah..."
(Mookie pauses and then hangs up his phone.)
"Good point. I've got an idea."
(He dials another number and raises the phone up to his ear.)
"Hey, yeah, Antwan, how's it goin'?...Yeah I jus' wanted to see if you'd be able to lend a hand...Yeah, yeah, that's all I need...Oh, maybe even some of that too...Just tryin' to keep a possible rat from dimin' us out...Alright I'll catch you later."
"Everything good?"
"We're all set. Jus' gonna have to see what he's got for us. But he's a good guy, Antwan will be able to help."
"So what do we do in the meantime? Do we just stand here and wait?"
(Before Mookie can answer, Pookie cuts him off.)
"Where are we anyways?"
"Oh, nowhere specific."
(Pookie turns around and pulls on the handle of the back door, but the door doesn't open.)
"Then why are we here?"
"Enjoyin' the night."
"Hey, wait...isn't this your building?"
"Naw, besides, if it was, wouldn't I be inside?"
"Unless you forgot your key."
(Mookie looks flustered.)
"Do you want my help our not, Pookie?"
"Of course, but---"
"Then no more questions!"
(The scene fades as Mookie stomps off down the alley toward the road with Pookie shrugging his shoulders and following.)
"Madok, I don't know what world you are living in where you think you actually matter, but it's not this one. Perhaps you got too carried away chasing your clouds, and don't remember how things operate, but to actually matter you have to have actually proved your worth.
"And have you done that? Have you shown the world that you are at the top of the pile, the cream of the crop? The quick answer to that, is no. Sure, you think that you are due for something bigger than what you've got, much like your buddy Pence, but you are only lying to yourself. You are only showing the world that you are a fraud as a wrestler and a fraud as a champion.
"Strong words, I know, but if you look back at the facts, it's all true. You survived your match at Blood, Sweat and Broken Teeth because of the rules your title has. The rules you need to retain a piece of gold. Could you beat both The Gambler and Bobby Bodacious on your own? There is always a possibility, but your recent history doesn't bode well. Wasn't it them that beat you a month ago at Asylum?
"We'll throw out the match you had with Bobby, because, well, it wouldn't be fair to hold a match against you were you got jumped, right? It wouldn't make you look too good to know that you haven't been able to pick up an actual clear cut victory over them in six weeks. Ever since you've won that title, your only victory has come because of a technicality.
"But what does all of this mean? Well, that is quite simple. It means that you are way out of your league. Because while you have still been searching for an actual tap out victory as champion, I have been doing what I do best. Destroying hopes and dreams. First it was Delilah and then, Nate Bishop. Twice. And need I remind you about my impressive match against James Chambers? A match that I would not have lost if it weren't for Chris Cyrus.
"Maybe I am just grasping at straws though. Maybe I am just being picky. But you know that I only do that, Madok, because you are the sort to prepare this somewhat elitist attitude toward yourself. You claim to be better than you are. That no one can beat you. That if we all don't focus in on you, then we are all going to fail at what we do. Then we are all going to be in for a rude awakening when you pop out of no where and shock everyone.
"But I am not going to let that happen.
"I already did once, and I paid the price with a loss. And I will not make that same mistake again. As I've said, I've gotten much better since our last meeting, while you, have gone stagnant. You, have sort of leveled off. Settling for what you have instead of pushing yourself to be better. Not pushing yourself to tackle the tougher opponents.
"To each their own, right?
"And this week will be an example of why these words are true. It will be an example of why I am much better, and much tougher than you will ever be. And for everyone else, it will be a little insight into what can be expected after Rasslemania. After your truly destroys every single person that walks down to that ring. It will be a window into the future of IWC.
"Because in due time, I will win the Insane title, and I will be the man everyone wants to be. Don't take what Reginald said as the truth. The toughest, ruthless, most sadistic wrestler is not representing Team IWC in the War Games match.
"He is fighting in a battle royal that week.
"Two weeks after destroying, humiliating, and annihilating the IWC Tap Out champion.
"And that's the truth, Madok. There is no way around it. You can continue to tell yourself that you are the one to beat, that you are going to walk away with a victory, that I have no hope...but you would only be lying. You would only be luring yourself into a false sense of security. Because no matter what you have to say, no matter what words come out of your mouth, the outcome will still be the same.
"Rico Casteel will still walk away as the winner, a measure of redemption will have been taken, and the entire IWC will be put on notice yet again.
"Because there is no stopping the Loose Cannon once he gets going."
"So, Mook, do you think he's wise to us?"
"Wise? There's no way that dope is wise to anythin'. We got this one, Pook."
"Excellent. It's been a hard road to get here but I think we're finally at the end."
