(It had been a long time coming, this moment. Dan and Cid had prepped themselves for a final showdown against the Red Shield Mafia members Mannie, Kingston and possibly even their rotten leader Diamante Valentine at the mother of all APW Pay-Per-View Shows, Rasslemania. And even now, as they went through a series of events that made it somewhat difficult, they were ready. Ready to take the proverbial torch and run with it, because they believed in themselves. They didn't care whether the RSM had number's over them - hunger was on their side. And it was that same hunger that would lead them to victory on this historic night. And even now, as Danny Crane sat down and watched his reflection in the mirror - he too realized that this was the moment to seize the opportunity and dig down deep and show the world what he was made of.)
"We're gonna do this.", he silently told himself.
(Across the room from Danny, sat his partner, coldly staring at a wall. Danny looked over at him and saw the lack of emotion, and for some reason, it scared him, but at the same time gave his confidence level a huge boost. You see, having known Cid for years longer than anyone else, he knew a that a focused Cid was dangerous. And not dangerous as in 'serial killer' dangerous, but dangerous enough to win titles. The man was driven by a sea of mixed emotions that often manifested during promos, interviews and even conference meetings. And now as Cid sat there, he radiated an intensity that was reminiscent of back when they'd win titles. Danny felt that same intensity tonight, and if they were going to pick up a win over a team that was known for their 'unorthodox' methods of achieving victory, the Anti-Establishment needed to be a cohesive unit.)
"We're gonna win this one."
(Cid sat staring at a wall for hours, thinking back to how this feud all began. It began with Diamante Valentine. Time and again, Diamante would pick up one ill-gotten victory after another, often at Cid's own expense. Cid knew that it was his own fault, citing frustration over having been beaten repeatedly by Diamante and his gang of schoolyard bullies, Mannie and Kingston. But tonight was different. Tonight he felt no anger, he felt no frustration. He was only focused on the road ahead. He'd beaten Matt Ward - the man who currently held the APW's Xtreme Championship, and was constantly referred to as XCMW. He'd made the man submit to his newest Ace in the deck, his 'Wildcard' - so to speak, called "Quicksand Jesus". He'd been feeling something rising within him for the past two weeks now, and now as he sat staring blankly at the cracks in the walls, he realized that his clarity came from taking the time to focus on what he'd been doing wrong, and making proper amends with himself.)
"Yeah, we've got this one.", he smiled to himself.
(Confidence swelled within his breast, and he took a deep breath exhaling all of the past away. Mannie and Kingston weren't difficult to dispatch, but if Diamante Valentine or even some other get involved in their match, They would just have to dispose of the problem and keep on fighting. It was the way of champions to overcome any and all odds. Cid turned his head at the same time that Danny would turn his head, and the two chuckled at their own synchronicity. Nodding to eachother, they realized they needed to come up with a strategy for the match. They approached eachother and began to talk.)
