It all begin in 2003 in CWF, President Jeff‘s first fed. Rasslemania 1. It was in the first Rasslemania where President Jeff faced off against Chris Jericho in a NO DQ Match, which stole the show. The following year, Rasslemania II, CWF‘s final PPV, Jeff faced off against Chris Jericho again in a rematch from the previous year, but this time in a ladder match. Both times Jericho game out victories. In following year in 2005, Rasslemania took place in a fed where Jeff first created, but then sold it to APW Hall of Famer Twister. It where there that Jeff got a shot at the World Title after winning a 20 man battle royal a month prior. Jeff defeated Bryan Dymond to win the World championship in a Hardcore In Hell match, earning the name, Mr. Rasslemania. The company closed shortly afterwards. Fast forward to 2008, APW is created and two months later, Rasslemania IV is upon us. It was a battle between two best friends, The perfect storm, Dr. Matt and Hurricane Jeff faced off in a match which saw Jeff come out victories. The following year, Rasslemania V, Jeff took on long time nemeses, Twister, in which Twister defeated Jeff in what was Twister last greatest match. This match was a long time coming as both men has a heated rivalry in IWC in 2004. And then last year, Rasslemania VI, The Axis of Awesome, Biggs and Chris Cyrus taking on The Perfect Storm, Dr. Matt and President Jeff where the winner gets control of APW, and the Perfect storm came out on top. And now, this year, Rasslemania VII, War Games, for the first time ever, APW Verses IWC. President Jeff, the only man to wrestle at every Rasslemania, looks to keep his reputation alive as Mr. Rasslemania
The scene opens up inside Memorial Stadium in Berkeley California. The home of this years Rasslemania. The APW crew team are busy putting the arena together for this event. They are working on getting the Entrance way all set up. But in the middle of the ring, we see “President” Hurricane Jeff, standing there, looking around the arena, soaking in the moment. Imagining the Seventy Plus thousand fans cheering. Soaking up the feeling, knowing that he’s create an event that everyone looks forwards to every year. A camera man is standing on the ringside, recording Jeff and then Jeff begins to speak as he paces around the ring,
Jeff: Rasslemania VII, never did I think we’d get to this. We went from selling out arenas to stadiums with this event. And every year, we find a way to top the previous Rasslemania. This years Rasslemania, over 40 wrestlers will take part at the event, but one match everyone is talking about, is for the first time ever, another company will be featured at Rasslemania. I’m talking about the APW Verses IWC War Games match. The 2nd War Games match to take place in APW and the 2nd War Games match I‘ll been competing in.
I’ve wrestled at every single Rasslemania and some we’re important matches. At Rasslemania III in 2005, I defeated Bryan Dyamond to win the WWC World Heavyweight Title. And then last year, I, along with Dr. Matt, defeated The Axis of Awesome for full control of APW. And that’s why I’m nick named Mr. Rasslemania. This is the one event every year that I need to be part of and it’s the one match every year where I get to show the world that I still have it. I’m the only person who has wrestled at every Rasslemania. This is the event where Boys become Men and Men become Legends, and I’m a proof of that.
But this year, its not so much about me. I’m not coming into this years Rasslemania to steal the show. I’m coming into this years Rasslemania to fight for APW, the company I started and build from the ground up. On team IWC, we have the Misfits, being led by the IWC Insane Heavyweight Champion, James Chambers, there’s also Jason Kash, JD Pierce and Nate Bishop. And then team APW, The Megastars, Team Captain, Pence Weatherlight, Tommy Knoxville, Captain Klappton and then myself, “President” Hurricane Jeff.
I easily could have gone out and hand picked the 3 best wrestlers to wrestle by side for this match, but the 3 men I chose for this match, are three men I know can lead APW to victory. First Pence Weatherlight. This man first came to APW a month after Rasslemania V. He went on to be a 2 time APW Heavyweight Champion, the Overdrive Champion, and at last years Rasslemania, defeated Level One in an Iron Man Match for the Title. And then Tommy Knoxville. This guy is still kind of new to APW. But one thing I see from this man is that he’s hungry, he’s determined, he’s in my eyes a future APW Champion. And then, Captain Klappton, this man, he has the size advantage, he getting a cult following and this veteran, who is looking for one last final run as a wrestler here in APW, deserve to be in one of the biggest matches of his life. These three men, need this match and I need these guys. A win for us could mean, bigger success for Pence, Tommy and Captain and they all know this. And that’s why I needed guys on my team who will go up and beyond to get the job done.
And then we got team IWC, The Misfits. I challenged these guys to this match because I felt sorry for these guys. I bought a dead company and brought life into it, but in the end, the IWC misfits, they we’re never going to get a chance to wrestle at an event like Rasslemania. They we’re bound to wrestle in front of a couple hundred people every other week and for what. What was their hard work get them. A job with APW? Maybe, but I figured, I’d let these misfits have a shot at stardom and give them a taste of success by wrestling at Rasslemania. You guys can thank me later guys.
The first misfit I want to talk about is JD Pierce. Congratulations, you defeated Jason Royce to earn a spot in this match. Who hasn’t defeated Jason Royce is what I’d like to know. But you come into this match JD with a 3 and 1 record. Your well on your way to becoming a major star in IWC. I’ve watched you, and I’m impressed with what I’ve seen, but how do you do under pressure. How well can you perform when you go from 200 people to over 70,000 people watching you live and millions around the world. In a match that could make or break you. In the biggest match you’ll ever have in your life. Do you have what it takes to not choke. That is my question to you JD. You have three other guys on your team, can they rely on you to not drop the ball. You’re a great athlete JD, but its hard to take you serious when you’ve lost the your only match against your only credible opponent. You defeated Jason Royce twice, big whoop, Chris Cyrus made a career out of beating Jason Royce and look where that’s gotten him. Its time for you JD Pierce to either stand up and make an impact, or lay low and pretend you don’t even exist. Either way, when I look at you, It makes me that much more confident that Team APW will be the winning team.
And now, Nate Bishop, A member of Danger Tainment. A 2-2 record, which just like JD, isn’t that impressive. See, Your first match in IWC, you had the chance to make a huge impact and make a name for yourself when you went against the Suicidal Champion, but you got your ass handed to you. You then went and won a shot at the Suicidal Title by defeating both Jason Royce and Ebon, which honestly, isn’t anything to brag about. When was the last time either one of those guys even won a match? Anyways, on to Blood Sweat and Broken Teeth, a rematch with Rico Casteel. Your shot to win the Suicidal Title and you choke and lose…again. And then you defeated Branden Harvey to earn your spot in War Games, but like your other win, its nothing to brag about. Sure, Branden is a better wrestler than Jason and Ebon, but at the end of the day, Branden is still a rookie. So its already been proven that you choke when it counts. You could get the job done against Rico Casteel on two separate occasions in front of a couple hundred people, what makes you think you can get the job done on a stage like Rasslemania when it really counts. You got Dangertainment helping out with your training, but kid, you don’t have the experience to wrestle in a match like this and at an event like this. Your gonan need to do something drastic to get noticed, because if you don’t, then your going to be forgotten.
Which brings me to Jason Kash. A man who comes off as a big shot. Someone of importance. But guess what, every time he stepped foot into an APW ring, he was shown that he doesn’t have what it takes to hang with the big boys. Lets go back to Survive and Conquer. You talked a big game that night. You came into the match, looking to put make a name for yourself here and you couldn’t even make it to the final 4. After that, you jumped back and forth between being an APW Mega Star and an IWC Misfit. Once you had your APW match and LOST! You went crawling back to IWC, with your tail tucked between your legs. Why? Its because Jason, you have great talent, you have what it takes to be a huge star, but Your ego gets the best of you and you know your too good for IWC. Which is why you want to stick around there and be a bigger fish in a small pond. In APW, you become the fish that gets eaten by the shark. You got what it takes to be a deciding factor in this match Jason. You’ve been in this business for a very long time, you’ve won many top tier titles, I know Jason that a match like this is right up your ally. I know you won’t choke. Maybe it’s a match like this that brings the best out in you, but there’s enough fire power on team APW to make sure you don’t become a threat to us. And Jason, after the punishment your going to receive in this match, there’s not going to be enough weed in the world that will help you coop with the pain you will have.
And that finally brings me to the IWC Insane Heavyweight Champion. James Chambers. The only man who I feel is the real threat in this match. A man I helped make famous. Little history lesson, James and I go back to EWC where I first met James. I was running their main weekly show and I have James one opportunity , when no one else would. He took that opportunity by the balls and made the most of it. James as been a dominate force in IWC since its rebirth. When I heard James Chambers was looking for a place to wrestle, I jumped all over the opportunity to sign him. James once held the same Title I once held, the EWC Championship. Jimmy, or time in EWC we’re a lot of the same. We both came in as nobodies in that circle of wrestlers. We both won the EWC Championship when no one expected is to win, and finally, we both got caught in Shadow Mac’s little game. But we’re all past that. James, I know how great of a wrestler you are. I know what your capable of doing. And I knew Reginald was going to make you a member of team IWC and when I made my team, I knew I had to pick someone who I know is better than you. Someone I know who can take you out, which is where Pence Weatherlight comes into place. Maybe Pence didn’t win the EWC championship, but that was because no one saw the talent in him like I did, which is why I took him from EWC. If I was still part of EWC at the time, Pence would have been champion, that I can guarantee. But I took Pence under my wing and he became an APW champion. And he went on to do something that you’ve never done Jimmy and that’s beat Level One, not once, but twice. See Jimmy, maybe back in the day, you we’re unstoppable. But now, your busy wrestling in IWC in a place we both know Jimmy your better than. But if that makes you happy Jimmy, then do be it. But Sunday Night, at Rasslemania, this event, its bigger than Wrestlefest, its bigger than Stranglemania. This event is like no other Jimmy, and I’ll say this Jimmy, your finally getting to wrestle at an huge event, something you’ve earned. Its just too bad its an APW verses IWC match.
At Rasslemania, Its not just about President Jeff, Pence Weatherlight, Tommy Knoxville and Captain Klappton, its about Team APW. We are fighting for APW to show that we are the best wrestling company in the world today. We are fighting to show that APW is the place to be. Where opportunities are endless. Rasslemania is the night I step up my game, it’s the night where I go from President Jeff, to Mr. Rasslemania. This is the biggest night for all of us, its the night where everyone wants to win more than anything in the world. I’ve had this match in my mind for a long time, I’ve used my time wisely to put together the best team to represent APW. I know for a fact that we are better than IWC. I know for a fact that we will win at War Games. I created Rasslemania. I bring my “A” game every year at Rasslemania and this year, it will be no different. I’ve fought a lot of guys at Rasslemania, last year, I fought for APW and I won, this year, I’m doing the same again, and again, APW will come out on top. Pence Weatherlight, Tommy Knoxville and Captain Klappton, Hurricane Jeff, sounds like a winning team to me. IWC Misfits, get ready for the biggest night of your life, and try not to choke.
