We are backstage at the most recent IWC Asylum show. We see IWC Interviewer, Jack Spade standing with Chris Cyrus
Jack: Welcome everyone to a special Rasslemania VII interview with a man who’s no stranger to wrestling at Rasslemania, Chris Cyrus. Thanks for taking the time Chris.
Chris: Yah yah, lets do this quick.
Jack: My first question to you is. March 27th, Rasslemania VII, how excited are you.
Chris: What do you think Jack. If I wasn’t freakin excited, then I shouldn’t even be in this business. This will be my fourth Rasslemania. And every year, Rasslemania keeps getting better and better and bigger and bigger and this year, its no different.
Jack: It was announced a few weeks ago that you will be in the Championship Scramble for the Overdrive title. You think you can win the match and bring the title to IWC?
Chris: When I heard that I was going to be part of that match, I was shocked. And since then, I’ve learned to never say never in this business. When I lost that loser leaves APW match with Biggs back in November at the 100th Episode of Overdrive, I thought for sure I’d never be at another Rasslemania. And then, the block buster announcement and now I’m in the match, its unreal. But back to your question Jack, do I think I can win. Well, I’m not confident that I can, but it doesn’t mean I’m not going to try my best to walk out the champion. Remember, this is a Championship Scramble, All I need to do is pick my moment and get a pin fall and run down the clock. But in all honestly, I’m not going into that match to win the Overdrive Title. If I win it, then bonus, but I’m going into that match to stop Biggs from retaining the title. I could care less if Ryan Ruckus, Terry Marvin or AJ King wins the match, what’s most important to me is that Biggs loses. Biggs almost ruined my life and its time to put an end to the reign of the so called, Greatest Overdrive Champion of all time.
Jack: You can’t ignored the fact that Biggs as put his title on the line every week since Survive and Conquer and defeated everyone
Chris: Correction, he didn’t beat me, our match was ruled a draw. Out of all his opponents, I was the closets one to taking the title from him. And I know Ryan, AJ, Terry and even Biggs aren’t considering me a threat because I’m on the IWC roster, and I’m ok with that. Because going into this match, its not 5 men going in to defeat one another, I look at it as a four on one match against Biggs.
Jack: You mentioned that this will be your fourth Rasslemania. For you, what makes this Rasslemania more special than the others.
Chris: Every year, everyone is looking to have their Rasslemania moment. I got mine two years ago when I defeated Jason Royce to retain the Xtreme Title at the time, in a Hardcore in Hell match. That was my moment. One man who’s yet to have a Rasslemania moment, Biggs. Last year, he had his chance when we took on the Perfect Storm in Dr. Matt and President Jeff for control of APW. And we couldn’t do it. And now this year, In Biggs second Rasslemania, he’s going to look to have his moment by defeating four other guys to retain his title. Well, if I can help prevent Biggs from retaining, then that’s good enough for me to call that, my new Rasslemania moment.
Jack: I find it strange that your more concerned about not having Biggs retain, than winning the title yourself.
Chris: Here’s the thing. I never asked to be in this match. It just, Kind of happened. I don’t need the Overdrive Title. I’ve already won it once, that’s good enough for me. I’m happy enough going after another title in IWC. I know I’m out of the running now for the Insane title, so maybe the Suicidal or even the Tap Out Title could be around my waist very soon. But yah, its no secret that I despise Biggs, so anything I can do, to make his life a little more miserable right now, I’m more than happy to help.
Jack: Lets shift gears and talk about your other opponents. Lets start with AJ King.
Chris: AJ King, could be the next Underdog in this match after me, but if I remember correctly, He defeated Terry Marvin at Survive and Conquer and could pull out a huge upset and take the title home with him.
Jack: And speaking of Terry, your thoughts on him
Chris: Honesty, he’s been one of my favorite wrestlers as of late. He may have lost to AJ King at Survive and Conquer, but in the Survive and Conquer match, Terry defeated Hot and sexy Sally Talfourd and came in second place. I think he has a really good chance at winning
Jack: And Ryan Ruckus
Chris: Next to me, I think Ryan was Biggs toughest opponent in recent weeks. I say it here, Biggs got Lucky that night. But I can see 2011 Survive and Conquer winner going all out on this one to walk out the new Overdrive Champion.
Jack: AJ, Terry and Ryan all recently started a new group called, The Contourage. How would you feel if this match turned into a Contourage Verses The Axis of Awesome match
Chris: If the Contourage knew what was good for them, for one night, they let me in, in their group and allow me to help them take out Biggs. Its just too bad for Biggs that for the last few months, he’s been giving me the cold shoulder and wanting nothing to do with me. Maybe if he was man enough to forgive and forget what Ellie did to him, maybe he could have done the same with me, and maybe, just maybe Biggs would have had a friend in this match to back him up. Biggs is now officially screwed. Kiss that Championship good bye.
Jack: Well Chris, Thank you for your time here, any final words for your match at Rasslemania
Chris: Rasslemania VII, I’m going in with one goal, making sure Biggs doesn’t walk out champion. If I manage to win, then bonus for me. But at the end of the day, Biggs losing is the only thing that matter. That for me, will make up for him taking me out of APW. I’ve always believe what goes around, comes around and that Karma is a bitch. Well Biggs, at Rasslemania, What goes around will come around and I’m your Karma bitch! I’m taking away your Rasslemania moment, and I’ll be doing it as I send you STRAIGHT TO HELL!!
