[The scene opens in the home of "Supersonic" Branden Harvey. Branden and his family are quietly having lunch.]
Branden: This is going to be great. I'm facing Jesse Nunez at Mayhem. Finally, I get to shut that jackass up.
[Suddenly, someone sprints loudly up the stairs to their apartment, rushes through the door without knocking, slams it, and locks it.]
Lisa: What are you doing, Beth?
[It's Lisa's sister, Elizabeth. She looks scared. No. She looks terrified.]
Beth: Lisa, Branden, you guys need to help me. Anthony has been chasing me down the street, trying to beat me up. I'm pregnant. I can't deal with this. I'm done with all of it. I'm tired of all the bruises, all the pain. Could you please help me?
Lisa: Yes, Beth, we'll help you.
[Suddenly, someone else sprints up the stairs. He tries to open the door but it's locked. Everyone already knows who it is.]
Anthony: GET OUT HERE, BETH!!!! I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE!!!!!
[He keeps trying to open the door.]
Anthony: IF YOU DON'T COME OUT, I'M GOING TO BREAK A WINDOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[Branden can't take anymore. He walks over to the window to say something.]
Branden: If you break a window, something else will break. That's the sound barrier. Because it'll be time for a Sonic Boom.
Anthony: Don't give me that wrestling talk. All wrestlers are pussies in real life. You want to try and take me on in a real fight? Try it. See what happens. Because I know I can kick your ass so hard, you'll think you're back in grade school, mother fucker.
[Branden moves away from the window. While Branden certainly isn't a "pussy" and neither are most wrestlers not named Mr. Dangerous, Branden has never been a good fighter outside the ring. He knows that Anthony would be able to kick his ass. And that's something he can't allow. There's only one thing he can do...]
Lisa: Call the police.
[Branden picks up the phone and dials 911. When the dispatcher answers, he tells her what's going on. She seems to want to take as much time as possible on the phone before sending someone.]
Beth: Tell her that she just needs to send someone right now.
Branden: Maam, I think we should cut the small talk. The guy is at my door right now trying to figure out how to get in. I'd appreciate it if you could just send someone down.
Dispatcher: What does he look like? Describe him.
Branden: I don't think you heard me. I need you to send someone right now.
Dispatcher: What is he wearing?
Branden: C'mon. Just...
Beth: Give the phone to me. I'll make her send them.
Beth: Okay. She's going to send somebody.
[Anthony is still banging on the door trying to get in.]
Lisa: You need to stop. The police are on their way.
Anthony: You pieces of shit called the cops on me? What happened to the big, bad wrestler? Fucking pussy.
[Anthony takes off but, just as he gets to the bottom of the stairs, the police show up and, after several minutes of deliberation, they arrest Anthony.
Beth: Thanks, guys. I'm going to go home now. Anthony will never be allowed inside my house again.
Branden: Who's that pulling up at Beth's house?
[The car stops. Out steps Anthony. He walks up to the house. Branden gets closer so he can hear what's being said. Anthony says something to Beth. She gives him a kiss and they walk into her apartment.]
Branden: Son of a...
[The scene opens in the home of "Supersonic" Branden Harvey. He's sitting on his couch alone.]
Harvey: Jesse Nunez, I've had an interesting day. But that's okay. Because, this Sunday, at Mayhem, you and I face off. I've been waiting for this since you attacked me on Overdrive a couple of months ago. You beat me to a bloody pulp. Then you delivered The Ressurection. And you think this sneak attack makes you better than me? You think that because you attacked me, you're going to win your fans back? But you have a problem. The APW fans aren't impressed by sneak attacks. The APW fans are impressed by what a person can do in the ring. That's why I asked for this match.
You see, I respect you, Jesse. You had a great legacy. I asked for this match because I felt like you deserve a chance to win your fans back for real. To do that, you have to beat me in that very ring. You have to pin my shoulders to the mat for the 1...2...3!!! But that's not going to happen.
You see, I hear all the talk. People are constantly talking about how I'm going to lose. I'm outmatched. And I guess I see their point. How many matches have I won in 2011? Not many. How many matches have I won in my career? Slightly more but still... not many. How can I, the APW whipping boy, as Reginald put it, beat Jesse Nunez, the APW legend?
But, you see, that's what I want. Have I been losing matches on purpose to lure people into a false sense of security when they face me? No. But I can still use that false sense of security they feel because I have been losing matches. Jesse, I've studied your moves. I've studied your mannerisms. I've studied your strengths. I've studied your weaknesses. I'm prepared for this match. Are you?
Because, Jesse Nunez, you need to be aware, be prepared, and, most of all, you need to be afraid. To reach a Sonic Boom, you must first break the sound barrier. And I look forward to breaking every bone in your body in preparation for that Sonic Boom. Goodbye, Jesse. Sleep well. Because, after Mayhem, you may never have a good night's sleep again.
