Wind is blowing tremendously and the temperature is negative 35 including the wind chill factor. A Canadian flag bends almost touching the roof of the airport from the wind. Ice cycles hangs from the outer edges of the roof of the building. A glare comes across the shiny white snow as it is about a foot deep. Taxi cabs are sitting outside of the airport as they wait for their customers to get off of their flights.There are security guards are outside directing traffic thats coming and going in the airport. We see a flight coming onto the airport runway. The small airplane looks like it is a private flight. The plane comes to a complete stop and a small set of stairs extends off of the side of the plane. The door to the plane opens and we see a figure step out. The figure is bundled up wearing black pants, black shoes, and a big black overcoat, with the hood up. The hood has brown and black hair on the out edges of hood. With suitcase in hand the figure starts walking down the stairs. The figure gets to the bottom of the stairs and the stairs fold back up and the door closes. Then the figure walks towards the airport building. The automatic opening doors slide to the side and the person walks in. Taking the hood off we can clearly see its APW superstar Shane Borderland arriving for the tournament that is being held in Canada. Shane wipes off the snow from his jacket, looks up and walks towards the front of the building. He makes it to the front main entrance of the building and he stops. He puts his hood back over his head and walks out, walking towards a taxi cab sitting in front of the building. He opens the door and gets in, setting his suitcase aside in the seat next to him. He closes the door to the cab and the cab driver looks in his rear view mirror.

Where to sir?
Shane grabs the hoody and pulls it off of his head.

Metro Center.
The cab driver quickly turns around.

I cant believe it! I got Shane Borderland in my cab with me. So you here for the tournament eh?

Yes, now can we get going? Little less talking and more driving.
The cab driver turns back around, and puts his seat belt on. He pulls the cab into drive and he pulls out of the airport parking lot. Driving down the road, the cab driver keeps looking in his rear view mirror at Shane. Shane notices him.

Can you keep your eyes on the road?
\\Cab Driver//
Sorry, im just excited to have you in my cab.

Yea i get that alot, but its no big deal. Im just another human being.

Yea, i have been busy with work these past couple of weeks, so who are you versing in this tourney eh?

Well its a messed up situation if you ask me. I got Roxy Rayner.
\\Cab Driver//

You got that right. I sure do have my hands full with this match. to tell you the truth, i think she is the hardest match i have had yet. She is worthy and i got “mad” respect for her. She handles herself well and she has the ability to win this match. But i truly see me coming out victorious. Just because i praise her, doesnt mean i am doubting myself. Of course i am going to have fun versing Roxy, but everyone is doubting me. Once again i am on the doubting list, everyone should know by now that i am better under pressure. I love to prove people wrong and im going to do that, starting with Roxy.

Look that bad? She is a fox, heh, Foxy Roxy. That girl is gorgeous. There is something about her that just gives her that tough look you know? The look of where i am crazy, sweet, but i also will beat your ass. Thats what i like about her, she isnt afraid to get her hands dirty. But her dirty little hands is going to be full in this first round. She she is probably my biggest challenge yet and i think i am hers too. But this match is going to be good for the best of us because one person is involved in between us. His name is Jason Kash. My partner in crime, my brother from another mother. See i have been partners with Kash, for a long time now and they have just recently started a fling with each other.

Well it might be more than that, but who knows. I dont care what they do as long as it doesnt get between OV. But see, somehow i just feel like Kash thinks that he is in the middle of this. He is not in anyway. This is between me and Foxy Roxy. Nothing to do with him, i know he likes the both of us, but it doesnt mean that he has to choose sides. He can just sit back and relax and not worry about us. He needs to worry about his match, not me pounding Roxy.

Again Shane, how do you know you will beat her. You said yourself that she is your best opponent yet and that she has mad skills and you have mad respect for her. Also you said she has the ability to win this tournament.

No, everybody has their own thing. I was just saying its like you think Roxy is going to come out the winner here. Sure i said she has all the works of winning. But i highly doubt she has what it takes to beat me. Im on a roll, i started out on the right foot and ill be damned if i will let Roxy beat me and take me out of this tournament. I have worked my ass off to get to where i am now and to let some woman, even though she is a worthy opponent, take me out is just insane. i havent worked this hard for nothing. Sure she is undefeated like myself, but i am going to keep this tradition i have going on. I have beaten, Bodacious, Suzuki, and Morrison. You think i am going to let some female come and take my glory. I dont think so, but there is a good thing about this match. We are both undefeated, so the thrill of one of us losing for the first time in APW is going to be running through our minds. We have something in common, me and Roxy. See we both want this match, we both want to be undefeated and we both want to win this tournament. We both want the same thing out out of this, but one of us has to fall short and i dont believe its going to be me. Not this time, and definitely not this way. If i lose a match its going to be against someone who is a hell of a competitor, not some new superstar, such as myself.
And hell no will a girl beat me and throw me out of this tourney and kill my undefeated streak. I am a hell of a lot better then her and i am going to prove it Once she is lying down begging for me to stop, im just going to look in her sweet and sorrow eyes and wink at her, signaling that this is game over for her. She wants to prove herself by taking me out. Well if that happens, which i doubt it will. But that will show me what kind of competitor she really is. Roxy seems like she might be a little worried though. For some odd reason, she seems to be doubting herself. I have no clue why shoe would, because she can easily beat half of the roster. So if she wants to doubt herself, then its going to be a easier match for me. She will be anxious, but also scared all at once. And that is not a good combination for anyone to do. So for her sake, her mind is clear and she is totally focused on this match. Because when i beat her senseless i dont want to hear, i wasnt in mind set for that match or i had to many things on my mind. If i have to here that, i swear i will go find Roxy and slap the taste out of her mouth. Nothing kills me more than a sore loser. But i know for a fact that we both have our hands full, so we will both have one hell of a match on our hands.

Well its kind of confusing for me. But its going to involve Blade and Bodacious.

Because they are two worthy opponents and they are also in the tournament, next round. So im going to focus on them.

Yes i have, but that doesnt mean he cant beat me. He will want his revenge, but if we meet again, he will not receive it. He will get another beating like last time. Last time we met, it was a good battle, but he did not have what it takes to keep me down. Neither will Roxy or Blade. But i will have to say Blade is a much more tougher opponent in my eyes. I dont know why, but for some reason he does. He seems like he really wants this tournament, but if im in the running, he will have one hell of a time winning it. Everyone in this tourney will actually have one hell of a time winning, because this is my chance to show everyone that i am champion material. I mean i have already beat one champion, and showed everyone i could handle myself. So winning this tourney would show everyone that i am champion material. I know what people are thinking, they are thinking that i am getting lucky, winning my matches.
Well i am going to show them they are definitely wrong. Bodacious is a good opponent, but the fact i have beaten him already, rests in the back of his head. He knows that i can beat his ass and thats what i will do if i have to verse him in the second round. He thinks he is a true superstar, well if he wins, then i will have to show his ass who the true superstar is again. But if Blade moves on, then this will be new to the both of us. He hasnt faced me and i havent faced him. So he will see me in action and i will see him in action. But i know one thing for sure. When i advance to the second round and if Blade does as well. Then im going to dull his edge for him real fast. I will show him what im about and beat his ass like he stole something. No one will step in my way of winning this tournament. I havent worked my ass off since i come into the APW for nothing. After i win this, i am going to go back to the states and relax. Knowing that i did such a damn good job, then i will start to think of the title match i deserve.

Sure do. I get a championship match, which i can not lose. If i win this tournament and lose my title match, everything i worked for will be at a loss. But thats in the future. Right now im going to think about this tournament.

The taxi cab pulls up to the Metro Center and parks in front of the main entrance. The cab driver gets out and so does Shane.

Shane reaches for his suitcase, opens it and pulls out a ticket. He tosses the ticket to the cab driver and the cab drivers eyes open wide as quarters. Shane grins at the cab driver and waves goodbye.

Shane just keeps on walking towards the arena. He steps in the main entrance of the Metro Center. He looks up at the banner that says “Test for the Best.”

Here i am, this is the chance to prove myself. Will i fall or will i climb? I plan on hiking up this mountain and becoming the next APW Asylum Champion!
The scene slowly starts to fade to black as Shane stands there looking up at the banner.
