He has spent the last few days wondering what had actually happened, it baffled him and as he opens his eyes and the scene opens up. The inside of a Grey Hound bus on it's designated route, Kash sitting in the very back of the bus, leaning against the window with his head leaned up against it. He decided to take some time for himself without anyone else around him that he knew so he bought tickets for the Grey Hound Bus that will take him to many different places along the way as he heads to Halifax Nova Scotia where Test For The Best is going to be held.
Not only does he get time to think but he gets to be around the people who make society flow. The common folk that can't afford Train or Plane but still are as much of any communities as anyone else. Money was the reason Kash got into the business, it was for a long time the main importance of what he wanted from anyone wanting to hire his talents to their roster. However recently Jason Kash has discovered that money isn't as strong of a motivator for him.
He felt he was missing something and it has begun to bother him during matches. Ego comes from the hunger in wanting to make top dollar. When you've come to make a highest dollar then confidence turns to ego, and ego to cocky and that is something FAR too many people suffer from these days. He notices it in others but noticed it more than ever the moment the bell went ding against Casteel. His mistake for not seeing the missing pieces and this ride on the bus was helping him find them.
The bus slows down before stopping. Kash looks up over the seats and around the heads as a few people get off the bus and a few others get on it. A quick stop as the driver had announced before the scene had opened. A middle aged lady climbs up the bus stairs and looks down the long aisle of seats. Nothing open to where she can sit by herself so she comes down the aisle more and spots a seat right in front of where Kash is at. Kash had figured the lady would be hush, she'd keep to herself but as soon as she sat down she greeted Kash and that sparked an odd conversation.
::Elderly Lady::
Hello there, how ya doin young man?
::Jason Kash::
Been better...
::Elderly Lady::
Forgettin' ta actually rassle will do that to ya! Hehe, I knows you ya was the moment I seen ya!
::Jason Kash::
You can see that clearly? Aren't you like 90?
::Elderly Lady::
Actually I'm 72 but I been watchin Rasslin for 50 something years...Seen alot a'folks come and go, good Champions, but horrible competitors. You got guys like Andre The Giant, he was a circus show not a Rassler! Folks came ta see him cause he was larger than they'd ever done seen another human bein. Real fans want ta see heart in the competition, the real force in the graspin feel of seeing two athletes compete. No bullshat drama like nowadays, if you ain't out there to be the best then ya ain't got no reason ta be out there period. Can't be the best ever done it if ya out there for anything other reason but to perform at your best every single match.
::Jason Kash::
Yeah, I've heard this same speech for years...I have my weaknesses but I still put it all out there any given night. Thanks for the advice though but I think my experience actually doing this business is far better than your advice WATCHING it...
::Elderly Lady::
You can take my words any which way ya want too sonny. Your choice just as it is your choice to lose yourself in matches because you can't figure out what motivates you...The missing pieces are key to anyone's true success. Remember that sonny...Remember...
A bump in the road makes the bus jump and rock waking Jason up. He grabs onto the wall of the bus and looks around. The bus settles down again and continues riding along the open highway and Kash looks up over into the seat in front of him. It's empty. He looks around at the nearby seats to find nobody that is even old enough to be that old lady he was SURE he talked too just minutes ago. Was he really sleeping? A dream that vivid? He sits back in his seat and looks out the window.
The lady he had talked too is standing on the side of the street waving to him as the bus having not even stopped rides right by her. Kash lifts up and looks back out the window behind the bus to see he still looking in his direction as she grows farther away with each passing second. He returns to his normal sitting position and feels weird, is this some kind of rare withdraw from not smoking weed, he'd never experienced it before and it was only the last stop when he last sparked up. The bus driver's voice breaks through the speakers aligned with the length of the bus. Kash listens in still confused as to what all that was with the old lady and then seeing her...weird.
::Bus Driver::
We are making our next designated stop in Detriot, we will be approaching this stop in approximately 15 minutes. We will be at a Arby's Restaurant so if you wish to eat, go to the bathroom to clean up, you will have an hour to do so.
::Jason Kash::
Arby's sounds real good after I get a good buzz going...
He was lucky that Buses didn't check your carry on bag without having suspension too. He had his stash in plenty of hiding from the scent with a bottle of Instant Coffee he was sure to pass any test upon just looking in his bag. He has a Medical License for the stuff but that's only when he's on the West Coast of the US and he was heading into Canada, nobody was to know about his private stash. He wouldn't ever even mention it out loud for others to hear or get on recording.
He stands up as the bus slows down to a stop, he puts the bag strap over his head onto his other shoulder. He starts down the aisle of the bus even before the bus is fully stopped, he didn't want to wait for too many people as exiting a bus while at the back of it is time consuming. He gets out after only 3 people before him and breaths in the poluted air of Detriot. He steps off the last step and looks around and heads over to where the garbage bins are located at the side of the Arby's building.
He unzips his bag and stuffs his hands inside digging through something and then comes out with a joint that has brown crumbs stuck to the ends. He blows off the crumbs and pops one end into his mouth. His hand goes back into the bag and he pulls out a zippo lighter and sparks the joint. That first inhale, exhale is like nothing else. No other drug to him feels like this, gives him that ease into whatever might be going down. It's just soothing to him. A few people stand about 20 feet from him, smoking cigarettes but none of them look over their shoulders or give any attention to Kash. He moves back away from them anyways, just to see whats around the back more.
Employee parking. Vivid memories of stealing cars or breaking into them growing up come through his thoughts. People always telling him to graduate from the petty crimes but it was there he got his most consistent money. That's always been his M.O. even in this business. He's always been that consistent guy who strolled with a wave until that wave flattened out and a new one was needed. Kash got the feeling that he needed a new wave, not a new surrounding, just a new way to see the big picture. He stood there smoking his joint and thinking of his fans, his haters, the business as hand and his next opponent.
::Jason Kash::
I Don't Have Haters, I just have fans in denial which is most of those who don't have faith in my skills and what I'm doing when the bell goes ding, Yao Ming, my skills be big like Godzilla in the land of "Knees". Folks might not understand me all the time, might be a bit of a ramble that most just label a high blab from a pothead but once that bells rings I'm there and trust me when I say this...What happened with Rico Casteel will NOT happen twice. I lost but from that loss comes a better man and a man that won't make the same mistakes a second time. You unfortunately have to be the guy who gets me after a loss which is not a place you'll be happy being in.
Valentine, this isn't for a belt, this isn't for anything but to see which brand has the best Gimmick Champion but trust in Kash that I'm far from just being another gimmick, I'm top flight like a hijacked plane and the time for everyone to take notice of that has come. Organized Violence is in APW and we are going to grow, become, and then achieve. That time begins again now, after a loss a man can do one of two things. Either stand up stronger and fight again or quit and crawl into a black hole of nothing, become nothing and giving up is not in my history. Quitting is not something I do, I walk away, I move on but I don't quit and in this match when you think you have the upper hand or see an opening, I will hit you with something you just didn't see coming.
It's my style, my bread and butter. I am the kind of guy that surprises people and I do it to the best of the best. Put me to the challenge and I will step up and compete with the tools that come to me naturally. Experience teaches us that the best tools are those that come from within, a natural talent that cannot be taught like heart or determination and I'm hot like fire with both of them. That's not saying you don't bring something to the table Valentine, you are afterall the Xtreme Champion and a member of Red Shield Mafia so you bring plenty to the table and I see that. I know you go hard inside the ring and that is why you were booked in this match. People want to see me back in the ring with Extreme and right now you're the epitimy of that over on Overdrive.
He flicks the joint as it comes to its end and holds in that last lung full for an extended period of time before releasing it. He begins to head back to the front doors to Arby's he was ready to eat but had to finish with his thoughts and what he wanted to say..
::Jason Kash::
You're vicious and a dangerous man, I get that and am going to be prepared for that and whatever else you can throw my way. This is a PPV, huge event and I am bringing the big noise on that night. The fireworks will soar and in the end my hand will be raised! I'm not talking confidence like with Casteel because I was tasting a bit of the old me when I was in DangerTainment. I was feeling a bit of the ego that killed that group and facing Casteel after he had walked over Nate Bishop brought those feelings of over confidence back into my life. For a split second I thought I was unbreakable and when the bell rang I lost focus of the real gameplan. That's not an excuse, I lost the match and it probably won't be the only one I lose during my time with APW but I will not be losing to Diamante Valentine.
I've been through Teipei Death Matches, I've done Triple Cages, Barbwire, I am just as violent if not more violent than you and the people in APW deserve to see that. They deserve to see that someone can out brutalize the Xtreme Champion and I'm the man to do just that Valentine. Test For The Best, The Asylum Super Show? These two events will become bad memories for Red Shield Mafia because each and everyone of you will find defeat, failure in your matches. You cannot control it, like a plaque that is unknown to doctors, unknown to mankind. What will take place at these two events will be unexplainable but life deals you that kind of thing from time to time and you have to learn to just deal with it. Take it in as a lesson learned because this might not have Xtreme Rules but I'm going to take you to as close to Xtreme as I can take you without weapons being involved.
I will bend you, break you, and make you surely question why Overdrive even has a Xtreme Title when Asylum is where the Xtreme live and breath. That Title you have is a contridiction because Xtreme lives in Asylum and it is this guy from Asylum that will teach you that lesson. Show you the ways of how Xtreme is suppose to be and I will teach you this lesson with my bare hands, the gifts I was born with, the skills to survive what you can bring and overcome them to find victory. This is just the beginning and in the beginning there should always be a good road bump in the way of your goals and Diamante Valentine, you are not good enough or talented enough to be another road bump on my path....So before you call me out for being a Druggie or Junkie, smoke that for a bit, take that in and come to understand that this will not be your day of joy but the day you feel pain and sorrow for not being able to get the job done. Lesson Learned, You're Welcome...Time to grub!
Kash enters the restaurant as the scene fades to the static screen that ends his promos.
