I know this is meant for specific section, but I feel like OOC gets a bit more love. Also, I know a few of you enjoy my rants, and rarely check other sections of the site...
...So here it goes...
Monday night, before the abrupt conclusion of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk began to cut a promo that many labeled a "shoot". During this promo, Phil (Punk) began to bash WWE personnel (more specific, Triple H, Stephanie, Johnny Ace, Vince McMahon, John Cena, among others). Keep in mind that this was on live television, and that Phil was given full reign by WWE Management (specifically Vince McMahon) to work a "shoot" of sorts. However, Vince made the decision that Phil was going way too far when he began to tell a story about Vince.
Why?
There are a few issues I have with this whole story, on both sides of the spectrum. First, we'll start with the "it was a REAL shoot" side...
...CM Punk had been told earlier in the evening that he had full reign to cut a "shoot-like" promo, as I have already stated. However, with Punk making it clear that he would like to wrestle elsewhere or not at all, he felt like he should leave a lasting impression on WRESTLING fans who actually want WRESTLING. Therefore, he decided to take it upon himself to jerk the curtain down and exposed John, John, Vince, and others, for who they really are. Who cares, right? He's gone in a few weeks, and suspending/firing him would not only ruin the PPV main event for a few weeks from now, but the careers of many stars in Nexus that WWE has numerous investments in. Let's face it, without Punk, all three men would need repackaged.
As you all know, I work for two different promotions in the business, and have ran into many men who have had some contact with Vince "I USED to have a small penis" McMahon. Every person that I have ever came into contact with that have had contact with Vince, have ALL said the same thing... He's a fucking douche bag who is as heartless, gutless, and mindless as the next tool (...in a nutshell). I could go on forever with stories, but I will just give one.
A few years back, a wrestler that had once worked with CZW was contacted by TNA officials, and they liked his work. He had sent them a video package of himself, sending the same exact one to WWE. He received a TNA tryout at a house-show (that was filled to maximum capacity with a whole 34 people!) and was complimented by TNA officials. A few weeks later, this young man received a phone call from Deal Melenko of WWE, where he was told that Vince would love to place him in FCW, and bring him up to the main roster in a timely fashion. The wrestler was told that later in the day, he would be re-contacted by WWE officials to set up a visit to corporate headquarters. Before WWE was able to make contact with him again, Al Snow of TNA contacted him, asking him if he would be able to make the next set of tapings. He very nicely thanked Mr. Snow and the rest of TNA, but regretted to inform them that he was seeking his fortunes in the WWE. He was then re-contacted by WWE... He was then instructed that his meeting would not be at corporate, but to be at a smackdown event to work a try-out. He agreed and was offered a WWE contract.
However... This is where it gets good…
After telling TNA that he wanted to wrestle for WWE, his bridge was obviously burned. He knew this when he did it, but had all the faith and trust in the world in WWE and it’s glorified image. He was called exactly a week later by Johnny Ace, who informed him that the WWE was no longer in need of his services, due to budget cut reasons. He took this with a grain of salt and chose to continue his craft elsewhere on the Indy circuit, thinking that WWE would call back someday. However, what he saw the next day changed everything. As many wrestlers do, he often checked the online dirt sheets to see what Marks have to say. He saw something that baffled him… Not only had 8 men been moved to the main roster, but 4 had just been signed to replace them in FCW.
…WTF!?!?…
After doing some investigative research, he found out exactly WHY Vince did what he did.
…A year before, Desmond Wolfe was in talks with WWE, and was going to work without a contract on the Smackdown brand, while they worked out the contract details. He was told he was being given a SPOT, not in FCW, but a SPOT on Smackdown. The week that he was to debut on Smackdown, that Thursday night on TNA Impact, he was seen attacking Kurt Angle. Therefore, Vince took it upon himself to find the next big TNA star, and destroy him before he was ever able to get his foot in the door. He felt as though Donny… I mean the wrestler… was what TNA was looking for at the time, and wanted to beat them to the punch.
…Talk about ruining someone’s career and not giving a shit… That’s the kind of man Vince is…
Back on subject, Phil is conveniently cut off when he begins to tell a story about Vince McMahon. Really? Why? Because Vince McMahon doesn’t want the world to know what kind of person he really is, that’s why. Vince McMahon is held up high by everyone because of the image he’s made for himself. Truth is, Vince McMahon is a man with many MANY demons, none of which would ever earn him the Nobel Peace Prize. Bottom line, he’s a big piece of shit, just like Hogan and many other’s have said (and you all know I hate Hate HATE Hogan!). Therefore, Vince has decided to ruin more careers, and has decided that Punk can fulfill his contractual obligations to house-shows, but will be suspended from live/taped TV until the end of his contract in mid-July.
…NOW…Let’s flip-flop it…
... Again, CM Punk had been told earlier in the evening that he had full reign to cut a "shoot-like" promo on Live TV, while working without a contract… REALLY!?!? You think Vince “I look out for me and only me” McMahon would allow THAT!?!? REALLY!?!? Give me a break, you’re full of shit if you really think that.
So, Phil’s audio was cut right as he began to tell a story about McMahon? Heh, how convenient, eh? I smell another AMAZING storyline that Vince will once again find a way to fuck up… But that’s the wrestler in me talking.
The raving Mark fan part of me thinks that this was a real shoot, and that Punk has had enough of Vince’s bullshit, and this bullshit product they shove down our throats week after week. Much like Edge, he was ready to leave a year or so ago. This was his way out. Fuck the “Copyright clause in my contract” excuse, he was just ready to be gone and stay gone, much like Jeff Hardy. This was his way out, and he did it in “Vintage Punk” fashion. Lol.
….
Now… I’m almost 75% certain that this is a work by WWE, due to the fact that Vince McMahon might be a big ass tool, but he’s not a dumb ass… um… ass… However, why would you work an angle like this with a man who’s leaving in a few weeks? It makes no sense to me. Maybe they’re trying to give him something real good so he will stay? I’m not sure. But this whole thing, I predict, is going to end up bad.
My whole purpose of this rant actually has nothing to do with WWE. It has everything to do with ROH, and TNA. WWE has said a thousand times, “we’re taking the Wrestling out of WWE”… What does that leave? WE?Where I’m from, on my receiver DVR, W.E. television stands for on thing…
… WOMANS… ENTERTAINMENT… lol.
Anywho, think about all of the boys in the back who have lost love of passion for the business, and are ready to get the hell out! Whether they want to quit all together, or go somewhere else, there are only two possible companies that can benefit from this… Ring of Honor, and Total Nonstop Action (IMPACT Wrestling). Punk goes back to ROH? Sweet! Christian Cage back in TNA who actually BELIEVED in him? EXCELLENT! Guys like Cena being put in their place, being told they can’t wrestle and shouldn’t be champion? AWESOME! Orton being able to BE Orton? YES!!! Evan Borne, Sin Cara, Rey Rey, and others, being able to wrestle THEIR style! WOW! I could go on and on, and on, and on, and on! Now, even during the Monday Night Wars, I was a WWE guy through-and-through. I bled flamboyant rainbow in the late 80s, early 90s, I bled red and black in the late 90s, early 00s, and I bleed through my ears, while fighting back tears through what we’re being forced to watch today. So I’ve been a loyal cat through all of this. BUT… I pray to the good lord above, that this is the beginning of the end of WWE!
Maybe Vince is killing his creation slowly, I don’t know, and I don’t want to know. What I do want to know however, is when are all of the REAL talents, going to get their time in the spotlight?
- I’m sick of seeing John Cena’s 3 famous moves…
- I think we all REALLY DO GET IT that Randy Orton’s RKO can be hit anytime, anywhere, just like DDP proved it in 97’…
- Vicky farts and burps a lot, and has the manors enough to say excuse me every time. She’s also a slut, and has a new boyfriend every week on your show. Okay, so can we move on please!?!?
- I understand that R-Truth was always a sheep in wolves clothing, and really has no promo talent…
- I have learned to understand that what is old, is new again. Still old as hell and a bit played out, but higher rated than anything WWE is coming up with elsewhere…
- I’ve also learned to cope with Santino being the most entertaining part of the show, after they got rid of the “DAMN!” segments.
But with all of this being said, they still… wont… listen…
So I say we ban together, and leave WWE where it should have been left all along, in the past. If WCW would have bought WWE instead of the other way around, the WWE stars of the time would have filtered out the WCW has-beens, and we’d have REAL wrestling today. Punk would be WCW Champion, and as much as I hate to say it, the world of professional WRESTLING, would be a.o.k.! But… We have to deal with what we’re given. At this point in time, I will watch WWE, just to see how bad they fuck this up. If it turns out to be legit, and Punk is gone, then so be it. He will be a champion and held in his rightful place, elsewhere. Only one this we can guarantee for sure to come out of this… Is that Vince McMahon…
Is the biggest jerk off this world has ever seen.
Questions, comments, concerns, are all to be left below. Anything “YAY! YUM! Vince McMahon penis in my face!”, will be marked as spam and sent to Satan. That way, when you get to hell, you’ll be forced to watch WWE instead of actual wrestling.
