The scene opens up inside the arena for this week’s Asylum. We see Chris Cyrus in a dressing room sitting on a bench, tying up his boots. Just as he finishes, he stands up and a camera is there ready to record what he has to say about his upcoming match.
Chris: This Sunday, I get another opportunity in becoming an APW Champion. This time, the Suicidal Championship. A Title that Isamu Suzuki currently holds. And let me just point out, I beat Isamu in his debut match here in APW. But also in this match, a man who week by week, I am growing a bigger and bigger hatred for, I’m talking about, The Gambler.
At Test for the Best, I took on Rico Casteel for the Vacant World Heavyweight Title. I had everything going my way. I was ready to put the final nail in the Coffin of Rico, and who gets involved and costs me the World Heavyweight Title, The Gambler. Its one thing to cost me a regular match, but to cost me a championship belt, that’s a line you shouldn’t have crossed. I told you Gambler that if I won that title, I’d give you the first show, well, it looks like you don’t care about any championships and all you care about it making my life a living hell. Well guess what, your not trying hard enough. All your doing is pissing me off and that something your going to regret.
I’m going to Asylum Sunday with one goal in mind, And you might think its to become the Suicidal Champion, but to make sure YOU Gambler, don’t leave Asylum as a champion. I would rather see Isamu retain the title than see you win it. But I don’t think Isamu is walking out still the champion. Since losing Roxy Rayner a month ago, Isamu basically has been MIA. I’ll be surprised if he even shows up Sunday. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not going to prepare for him
Isamu, I beat you once, I’ll beat you again. Word on the street Isamu is that this may be your last APW match. And I gotta say, thank goodness because your just a waste of space. Some punk kid from Japan. You had some talent, but you don’t deserve to be in APW or call yourself a champion. You’re a disgrace to his company and that title and as a Loyal member of APW. As someone who’s been in APW since day one, who gave his blood, sweat and tears for this company. I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure I walk out the new Suicidal Champion. Because, that title, it got into the wrong hands. It got into the hands of someone who doesn’t care. That title, since it left Rico’s position, the value of it dropped. Its time to bring pride and value back to the Suicidal Championship. And I’m going to do that, the same way I did it to the APW Xtreme Title 3 years ago. I’m going to win it and put that title back on the map.
And do I think the Gambler can beat me or even is worth of holding the title? I don’t think so. Gambler, answer this, what have you done to deserve a title shot. What have you done to make anyone believe you could walk out of Asylum the new Asylum Champion. You blew your shot at the Tag Titles. And your gonna blow your shot tonight for the Suicidal Title. You’re a long ways away from wrestling people at fair grounds. Because this is Action Packed Wrestling. This is where the best come to play and Gambler, your not one of the best here, your not even in my league. You, your just try into make a name for yourself through me. So far, you might think its working since your costing me so many matches, but it ends TONIGHT! It Ends when I win the Suicidal Title and it ends when I send you Straight to Hell. We still got a match scheduled for Shockwave Gambler, but you can look at this match as a warm up for me. Or better yet, look at it as a preview for Shockwave.
Anything can happen in Triple threat matches. You don’t even have to be pinned to lose. And looking at the odds, and I know that’s something that you like to look at Gambler. You look at it and think, the odds are 3 to 1. 33.3 percent chance at winning. Well guess what, when your in the ring with Chris Cyrus, your chances automatically drop. I have a 66.6 percent chance at winning because Isamu knows he can’t beat me and he’s not even gonna try. Then you take your 33.3 percent chance, minus my 25 percent, and that gives you an 8 and one third chance at winning tonight. Then if you take my 75 percent chance at winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and to add 66.6 percents, I got a 141.6 chance of winning at Asylum, Gambler, Isamu; the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you tonight!
You both need to remember this. I am Chris Freakin Cyrus. The Master of the Head Lock. A triple crown Champion. Two time tag team champion. I held the Xtreme Title for 364 days. I’ve beaten countless number of opponent in Xtreme matches without using a single weapon. Do you guys not realize how dangerous I am. If not, your going to find out tonight. I’m sick and tired of you Gambler costing me all may matches and tonight, I’m putting an end to it when I walk out of Asylum tonight as the New Suicidal Champion and become only the second person in APW history to be a Grand Slam Champion. And you know why this is going to happen. Its not because your bad or anything, well, that’s part of it. But its because I’m Just Simply…..AWESOME!
