Scene opens at a high end cocktail bar. The various customers are dressed in nothing more then the nicest clothing, ranging from casual to business attire. Bobby Bodacious, modestly dressed, is taking his time enjoying a dry martini at a small table, near a window.
“Superstar” Bobby Bodacious
Shockwave, the premier APW Pay-Per-View of the year. Doesn’t get much bigger or more important then this. Many of APW’s greatest wrestlers are showing off, as would be expected. As their greatest superstar, you would think that I would get an important match. Not necessarily a world title match, but something with plenty of hype behind it. Instead, I get to face a bit of a moron.
Think his name is Manhattan White. This is a dude, from what I’m told, lived in New Jersey. This alone would be a death blow to the average person, considering what kind of cesspool that Jersey is. Through adversity, Manhattan White managed to get out of a bad neighborhood, got some form of education and got himself a decent paying job. Unlike some of the riff raff here in the company, he actually became a productive, tax paying citizen, as opposed to a pothead on the welfare rolls.
Yet, for whatever God forsaken reason, you chose to give up a comfortable lifestyle in order to pursue wrestling. Why? Not for fame, glory or wealth. You appear to be doing this for the simple reason of breaking bones, making people bleed and generally destroying everyone in your way. Anyone with a two-digit IQ realizes that you never do anything purely for sadistic, evil reasons. That can always be part of your logic. Never, ever make it the primary reason. When all you can think about is hurting people, you will eventually find yourself bruised, battered and beaten beyond belief.
Too much carelessness happens when you focus too much on simply hurting an opponent. In my case, I’m more worried about the basics; mainly making myself look good. I’m more worried about the prestige, the money, the fame…..all the things that come with being a successful, world class wrestler. As a world class wrestler, I’m interested primarily with collecting the biggest paycheck possible. I won’t need to beat you to a bloody pulp. I just have to beat you just enough to make you look like the moron that you are.
Manhattan White, be ready to be beaten black and blue.
Scene fades out.
