Empire Strikes Back is certainly my favorite. Hon gets frozen, Vader reveals that he's Luke's father, Lando makes his first appearance. All in all, it must have been the first sequel in movie history where the sequel was actually better than the first movie.

THE CLONE WARS WAS TOTALLY THE BEST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF CINEMA AND I AM HIGHLY OFFENDED THAT YOU HAVE NOT PROVIDED THE CLONE WARS AS A CHOICE ON WHICH STAR WARS MOVIE IS THE BEST MOVIE IN THE SERIES AS THE CLONE WARS, BEING THE BEST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF CINEMA, WOULD EASILY CLENCH A CONTEST OF BEST MOVIE IN A SET OF SIX DATA POINTS THAT HAPPEN TO ALL HAVE STAR WARS IN THEIR NAMES
(P.S.: I haven't watched the movies in long enough to be confident in making a choice. Just rest assured that the caps lock madness is just that, madness.)

I've watched them, though now, I only watch them if I want to fall asleep faster. Usually, whenever they are on TV, I'll throw it on and take a nap.

That wasn't really meant to offend you, it was all in good fun.

This topic is just *filled* with blasphemy!
Seriously, even if you hate the films, things like this just make Star Wars so epic:
*Spoilers for Episode 3*

This thread is making me sad. How can all you haters hate on Star Wars! Sure, there may be flaws with the movies, but they're freakin' awesome! Star Wars and Lord of the Rings pretty much take up 9 spots of my top favorite 11 films, with Serenity and Captain America: The First Avenger taking the other two.
Storywise, Empire's the best, but in terms of pure spectacle, Revenge of the Sith, with it's wealth of awesome lightsaber fights, is the one I find myself watching the most!

So let me get this straight; your list goes (to some degree): 1. Star Wars 1 2. Star Wars 2 3. Star Wars 3 4. Star Wars 4 5. Star Wars 5 6. Star Wars 6 7. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 8. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 9. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 10. Serenity 11. Captain America Is this for real Biggs? And please, if you want a serious sci-fi film that's actually worth its weight, watch Bladerunner.

Yeah, there's no way Star Wars episode two is higher on anyone's list than Empire Strikes Back. Although it was a bit underrated, it was one of the poorer Star Wars movies. But the transition on Anikan was perfect, having his darker side finally show up.
And Padmay wearing those tight clothes, woohoo! Like one of the guys from Anchorman said, "I am very aroused!"

Cool, I'd never seen the Eye Of The Tiger video before. I love these Star Wars/Rocky connections. Star Wars was my brothers favorite movie growing up and Rocky was mine. Here's my favorite Star Wars video set to music from Rocky. Sure it's not as good as the shots of Rocky driving a Thunderbird through a tunnel in Rocky IV, but it's still pretty cool.

Sorry for the double post, but Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars movie, followed by Revenge Of The Sith. No I am not a Star Wars geek, computer geek, or any other kind of geek, I just enjoy good entertainment.

Actually, Sally, here's my list:
1) The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Extended Edition 2) Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back 2) Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (tie) 4) Serenity 5) The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition 6) Star Wars: A New Hope 7) Captain America: The First Avenger 8) Star Wars: Attack of the Clones 9) The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Extended Edition 10) Star Wars: Return of the Jedi 11) Star Wars: The Phantom Menace 12) The Incredibles 13) Scream 2 14) UP 15) Toy Story 3
Thought I'd take it up to 15 just because 11 is such a weird number to end a list on.
And yes, Sally, I've seen Bladerunner. Awesome movie. But when I say my favorite movies, I literally mean my favorite movies to watch, not the movies that are technically the best or the most thought provoking. As much as I enjoy Bladerunner, and as much as it makes me think more, I get more enjoyment out of watching Star Wars.

...Lord of the Rings, Extended Edition? As if Return of the King didn't have a long enough ending?!?! (Spoiler)
Froto drops the ring into the volcano, saves the day, and there's still half an hour to the end of the movie!!!! How can they possibly make that movie any longer!

Peter Jackson is under the mistaken assumption that people want to sit through 4 hour movies. Remember the extended edition to his abominable King Kong. As if watching 10 minutes of King Kong playing in the snow wasn't enough already.
