Jesse Nuñez has not been seen or heard from in the wrestling world since his last match back in May at the Mayhem pay per view where he defeated Branden Harvey in a singles match.
Jesse was last seen with his wife in New York City at the red carpet event for the premiere of the movie "Drive". TMZ and other reporters were on hand for the event and caught Jesse for a very brief interview.
Reporter: "Hey Champ, why haven't we seen you in the ring?"
Jesse Nuñez: "I'm retired."
Reporter: "What have you been up to?"
Jesse Nuñez: "Spending time with the family, playing basketball, seeing friends I don't normally get to see when I'm on the road."
Reporter: "Any projects planned?"
Jesse Nuñez: "I'm working on producing my wife's album and we're both looking into movie roles but nothing too big as of right now."
Reporter: "Any chance you'll be back in the ring anytime soon?"
Jesse Nuñez: "Anything can happen."
Recently APW Megastars have started to follow Jesse, literally. APW has gone to Twitter to expand its fan base and to reach out to the millions of fans they already have. Jesse Nuñez was the first Megastar to have a Twitter even before the actual company and oftens tweets about APW whenever he watches APW on television and comments on the Megastars. Here is what he has said about such Megastars like Sally Talfourd and Branden Harvey.
Jesse Nuñez™: The only reason why I watch @apwefed is to see @sammysunst and the only reason why I change the channel is when @supersonicone music hits.
Harvey had some choice words for the former World Champion.
