Final write up.

The final chapter: Mr. President?

The scene opens up to Sally Talfourd along with Biggs and Nathaniel Havok dressed in fashionable attire. Sally Talfourd wearing a dress; Biggs in his pattened fancy colorful suite and Nathaniel Havok in a conventional black buisness suite looking irritable and uncomfortable in his new attire. Sally Talfourd graciously commands respect from the roaring crowd...

Sally Talfourd: Shut up, you morons!

It got the type of response you'd expect.

Sally Talfourd: Over the past several weeks we have taken out APW top stars. And there's several more we could take care of if our issue isn't resvoled approperiately! Men like, CJ Gates! Legends like Dr. Matt! Wealthy assholes like Mark Mania! Or even pathetic low life jobbers like... The Masked man aren't safe from me and my ilk!

The crowd starts and APW chant which Sally Talfourd rolls her eyes to. She had very little respect for the people who had supported her for years on end.

Sally Talfourd: So, President Jeff has two choices. He can give us want we want. Or... we'll forcefully take whatever we want. I really don't understand his dilemma here! Jeff; we demand you get your tush out here right this second!

President Jeff emerges from the curtain. He's dressed in street clothing as he begins to regretfully march down the ramp and into the ring, his head pointed at the ground as he stands in-front of Sally Talfourd.

Sally Talfourd: Jeff, it's time for you to acknowledge defeat and step down as the President of the APW and give that position to yours truly, Sally Talfourd! I am the person to make this place what it used to be because obviously you've lost your touch, Jeff. So what's it going to be?

The crowd starts a ''Jeff'' chant as Jeff looks up at them and acknowledges the crowd support. He winds up and swings at Sally Talfourd who ducks his punch and knees him right in the groin.

Sally Talfourd: That wasn't the answer I was looking for!

Sally Talfourd kicks Jeff shin first in the face as he collapses on his back. He looks up at Sally, alongside Biggs and Nathaniel Havok standing over him like vultures.

Sally Talfourd: Where are they, Jeff!? Where are your precious freinds when you need them the most!? Here you are out here fighting us throwing your body, mind and soul on the line—while they sit back simply not giving a crap! They know there's tons of other promotions they can sign to once the APW is dead and gone, Jeff. Those lowlifes don't care about you... why do you care so much about them?

Sally Talfourd leans over President Jeff.

Sally Talfourd: It's your ego, isn't it Jeff? It's time to realize its the Sally Talfourd era. Rest assured, the APW will be better then it's ever been all you need to do is utter those special words... or you can refuse and your words of ignorance will be remember as the final words before you died. This ball is in your court... boss.

President Jeff[/b] closes his eyes as Sally shoves the microphone into his face after what seems like a lifetime, he gives his answer.

President Jeff: I hearby appoint Sally Talfourd, President of the APW and I quit.

Dead night six: President Jeff- President Jeff- Face doublevoter

Later that night...

Harvey: I can't believe Sally Talfourd has already used her powers as APW President to force CJ Gates to defend his world championship against Biggs! At least she didn't just annoit Biggs APW champion like she has done for herself with James Chambers vacant title!

Chase: CJ Gates wasn't expecting to even compete tonight as he wrestles a championship match in street clothes. One could argue that the champion should be ready for any and all challenges; but this is just unethical!

In the ring both men and beaten and bloodied. CJ Gates has the upper hand as he stumbles to his feet and stalks the challenger Biggs... he nails the stamp of approval! The crowd roars as CJ Gates desperately stumbles to his feet falling chest first into the turn-buckle as he begins to urgently climb it.

Harvey: Here it comes, Chase!

Suddenly, Nathaniel Havok jumps over the barricade after disgusing himself as a fan grabbing a steel chair in the process. He sprints around the ring, before nailing CJ Gates in the back of the head before he can hit the GateCrasher!

Havok tosses the chair under the ring all behind the back of a dazed referee. Biggs crawls his way to the turn-buckle, gingerly making his way up the top before jumping off and nailing CJ Gates[/b] with a UFO splash! Biggs on instinct hooks the leg as the refree in a daze makes the slow count.

As Biggs clutches the title, Sally Talfourd steps out from behind the curtain with the World Heavyweight championship in her poessession.

Sally Talfourd: As APW President; I have to make decisions based on not who my allies or freinds are nor can it be influenced by any biase. Which is why, I must unfortunately correct this mistake for the good of the APW!

Biggs looks at Sally Talfourd confused as he clutches his newly won Undisputed title.

Sally Talfourd: The fact of the matter is; I bring in the most ratings. The most money. The most attention. And as APW World Heavyweight Champion; there is no bigger match then the one I am going to deliver to all you loyal APW fans right here and right now! The winner of this match will take home both titles! You beat me, Biggs... and you take my title. I beat you and I take yours. Fair and square!

Harvey: WHAT!? Sally Talfourd can't do this! Biggs just run a grueling match!

Chase: She can do whatever she wants, Harvey. She's crazy and out of control we should have never let a women take over!

Sally Talfourd right off the bat nails an exhausted biggs with the makeover and desperately hooks the leg.

Chase: She did! Sally Talfourd is now a duel world champion! Unfortunately, the way she's done it is far from respected. This is sick!

Harvey: If this is the Sally Talfourd era then I want no part of it!

Sally Talfourd celeberates with both titles as the crowd begins to throw garbage and trash into the ring, as hundreds of others begin to storm out of the arena.

Sally Talfourd killed the APW.

Role: Bulletproof face

As the champion, you have the ability to fend off any attack done to you by any opposing factions. Some would say, your bulletproof. Unfortunately, if you survive once; they'll likely get you the second time... sorry champ.

You're James Chambers. You're a face. You've won championships, you've main-evented and you've sold out shows... but you're a black guy. Which means, you'll come up guilty when you're watched by a cop.

You may strongman once (strongman stops godfathers target from being saved from bulletproof or doctor and breaks through a roleblock if done to you).
You may steal someone elses role, once.

You are Biggs. You're a heel. You do the crews dirty work. Your leader tells you to go do something and you do it but make no bones about it; you're well respected around these parts and if the boss ever goes down, you're taking her place.

You are the leader of a new HEEL faction within the APW. You are Sally Talfourd. Every night phase, you will send in the person you would like to take out and remove from the APW for good.

- Kaji kills Johnny Rebel
- Sally Talfourd falls asleep and doesn't roleblock anyone (DOUBLEFACEPALM)

Mods thoughts: Smooth round for the mafia. Great strategy kill.

Day four:
- Branden Harvey tries to make a big move by claiming he has a role that simply doesn't exist.
- Momentum switches and Branden Harvey ends up being lynched in return, revealed to be face Pence Weatherlight.
- Pence Weatherlight fails to protect anyone (DOUBLEFACEPALM!)
- Sally Talfourd roleblocks President Jeff (LOVES YOU!)
- Kaji kills Knuckles, who's revealed to be a town cop, kurt noble.
- Knuckles investigated Kurt Noble but was killed before he could receive intel
- JC doesn't use any of his trades

Day five
- Some of the town still believes Harvey's information despite being described as a role less townie (WTF?)
- Pence is lynched because of the lie and revealed to be Dr. Matt, face doctor.
- Sally Talfourd role blocks CJ Gates (STILL LOVES YOU!)
- Kaji kills President Jeff, revealed to be President Jeff double town voter.
- JC enforces the last kill with his strongarm role.

Worst move of the game goes to... Branden Harvey. I understand what he was TRYING to do; it was just poorly executed based off an ill informed gut feeling that ultimately lead the town onto the wrong path.

No one ever expected him. He played a smooth game. He was vocal while not too vocal and basically played his cards better then I have seen anyone play as Mafia. His squads communication was lacking but that didn't stop him one bit. He took control and ultimately was a big part of his team success. Congrats!

I appear to be the only one that didn't get facepalmed...unless you count my part in lacking the communication to tell my team that I killed Ebirah. Probably should have posted that in the QT. But whatever, we won anyway.

Thoughts? Aside from your random disappearance right at the climax of the fucking game, I thought it was boss. Oh, I do have a couple.

1) Did I do evil, evil justice to you, Sally?

2) Mad fucking props to Ceej (both of them I guess, but mainly player Ceej) for surviving. He didn't win, and APW is dead, but well played. I'm not going to lie, there on the last day, I was really scared when I killed Knuckles, leaving Pence the only target left in Branden's fakey list, and Ceej went right to JC. Thankfully, he was the only one that seemed to pick up on this. And to be fair, Harvey was revealed to be "washed up face." In mafia parlance, who the fuck knows what that could have meant?

3) Would play Lester mafia again. Ten times.

Debatable. It's much easier to say "Branden not doing one single thing he did would have helped the town immensely" than "Sally stabbing in the dark and blocking one of ten people she had to choose from on night three would have let Knux verify that Pence was the doc and we might have won" but what I'm saying is that Branden could see that the town was going down the drain fast and, as Lester said, he tried to lead the town back to victory. He failed, but would you rather he just not do shit next time? Not doing anything might be the thing that fucks the town next time.

It's funny, because just looking at the game from outside, it was the best and most engaging Mafia game I've played it. Plenty of twists and turns, and Kaji led his team amazingly well...because behind the scenes, it looks like this game didn't go so well, ha. But I'm glad he played so well, and deserved the win!

On the Harvey thing... I gotta admire his will to get the game going in a direction he thought it needed to go...but I can't say blatantly lying about a role was the best decision here. It basically damned the town. >_>

But hey, I can't piss on him too much for playing poorly. I helped lynch basically every town member, hunted the town cop, and was inactive half the time...I definitely need to work on my skills for the next game!

My favorite game so far L1. The gap at the end may have hurt some momentum...but we all knew the game was over anyway, ha. Plus I haven't been around much either, so it didn't hinge on my mind too much.

Really, the only thing that hurt the game (from an outward and inward perspective) was inactivity and lack of posting. I take partial blame for this as well, so not just wagging my finger at others. Just sucks when people would go a day or two without posting at all, you know? That sort of thing just has to be more strictly watched in the future, but I understand not wanting to break the flow of the game to modkill someone.

Honestly the town really shot itself in the foot this game. I'll say this much, the scum was smart to get me out when they did because I would've gone after both JC and Blade day 2 if I was still in there. Sucks I didn't have a night action too but oh well. Also WHY for the love of god would you guys vote out ASP day two when it was CLEARLY a set up by the scum team?! SERIOUSLY! I was yelling at the computer about how dumb that move was, lol. If the person who was killed night one was voting for someone and went after that person then it's almost always certain that the player in question is being set up for a day two lynch. Overall...well played by the mafia. I had only pegged one of you (well, all three if you count my gloss overs of Kaji and Blade on separate days, and the mention of Kaji was simply a throw out). Though I was more than annoyed with some of the town. Why no one would follow me on JC was beyond me, and with everyone saying Pence was more inactive...let alone his blatant hints at being Dr. Matt (that I admittedly only picked up on at the end)....I dunno, playing the town in this one left a bad taste in my mouth lol.

As far as the Branden thing goes, I'd probably echo Kurt's sentiments. Great idea to try and get the game going, but might not have been right to lie about the role. Let alone, the two people he picked (since we can assume he picked ASP because he was already dead). Both were being pushed by him, and it might have been more of him being annoyed that no one was following his thoughts.

The lack of anything at the end probably hurt but we knew the game was done. Was just a matter of time.

I'll agree with this. I think someone said it (probably many did) too many cooks in the kitchen. Everyone had ideas and targets, but we could never come together and when we did, it might not have been for the best reasons. The ASP lynch being one. I was in on that, and I couldn't even say why. Maybe just to get something done? Not a good reason in the slightest lol.

I'd probably wait until the week after ONIH to start it, so you could probably run signups from, say Monday till ONIH. Gives a weekend for someone to get their mod ready to go and everything.

Yeah, guys sorry for the absence. Not only did I fuck up some of the momentum of the game but I ended up neglecting other duties as well. I think if the game was still continuing last week, I would have taken an extra mile just to get it done but because I was busy and the game was already done; I felt that I could get away with it, I guess. Not the type of attitude I personally like to keep but that's just how it went down and it was a lapse of judgement.

I'm glad you still all enjoyed it though. It made it worthwhile in the long run! And I will mod again without the annoying week absence next time, lol.

Onto other news, I think what made the Branden Harvey as bad as it was is because he did it WITHOUT a role and no proof. Maybe if he had a role that assured someone's guilt and wanted to get the town to bite on his info then a lie like this would've made more sense. Hell, even a better reason to target Pence & Jeff would have sufficed. There just wasn't enough things done by either of the two to make that gamble.

That's a bit strange, Lester, because I distinctly remember sending you messages that roleblocked Jeff one round (Sept 29) and CJ (Oct 5) another round.

I didn't block anyone the first round because I had no indication what anyone's roles were. Better to let, say, the cop investigate themself than to accidently block them. Or to block the doctor and lose someone by accident.

I did miss one round of night actions, I'll accept that. But It would have been another guess because the cop wasn't giving out any info. No one had any info, so I was just stabbing in the dark. One missed round really only was another gamble missed. And the odds were hardly there that I would have picked scum.

I did, though, send in requests to block people in two of the round though, and I blocked the people that I had suspicions on - Jeff and Pence. I had no info to go on ... until Branden gave us his "list". After that, and believing that it would make sense to block Jeff or Pence, because if the list was true then one of them should have been scum. And Pence had said he was the dtoctor, so I assumed Jeff was scum.

I wouldn't have blocked JC because he was doing nothing, and Kaji had me fooled the whole time.

All in all though, it was a really fun game. I want Lester to do it again (when you have the time) - his write ups were fun and enjoyable.

I'm happy to hand over the next game to Kurt or who ever. So long as it gets started sooner rather than later.

I do believe they were taken into account at the time; but writing this timeline, I had to backtrack and revisit all the night actions sent to me in my PM box which is why I missed it.
