Its Sunday afternoon at the IWC arena in Long Island New York. We are just a few hours away from the 1 year anniversary show for Asylum. Backstage in the dressing room, we see Chris Cyrus in his ring gear, doing his warm ups. He’s doing squats and doesn’t notice the camera on him.
Chris: 97...98.…99...100.
Chris grabs his bottle of water that’s on the table and takes a drink, then notices the camera man.
Chris: Its about time you show up. I got a few things to say about my championship rematch tonight against Arcadia, but last night, I heard what she said about me. Which is expected since I had said a few things about her first. But Arcadia, she wanted to talk about Integrity. If she truly, deeply feels like she still has her integrity, then more power to her. But here’s what really got me. Arcadia’s old ways was to stand up for other people, doing the right thing, and what did it get her, attacked and set on fire. Attacked and beat up by the Church of Kaos, Michael Lively carving his name on her hand and the names everyone called her for being a woman. Arcadia, You chose your friends early in your career, and you have to live with the consequences for it.
Well, this isn’t a pity party. This is professional wrestling. Whining about being attacked doesn’t show integrity. You show integrity but shutting your mouth, manning up and then going back out in the ring and get revenge. You want to know why no one stood up for you Arcadia, because everyone has their own problems to deal with. I didn’t cry, bitch and moan when week after week, the Gambler was costing me matches, giving me the flipping piledriver and making my life miserable. What did I do, I met him in the ring, and I took that Suicidal title from him and sent him packing and booted his ass out of APW. Branden Harvey tried to do the same, and we’ve haven’t seen him since One Night in Hell. That’s what you call integrity. Standing up for yourself, getting the job done yourself. Doing the right thing.
They way you got that Suicidal title from me, that’s not integrity. What’s integrity is how I’m going to win that title back. But the great thing about this business and about life is that, there are second chances, and you can always redeem yourself. You may be able to gain back your integrity, but tonight Arcadia, inside that ring, its not about integrity, its about the Suicidal Championship and its about making history at the One Year Anniversary show for Asylum.
For the past two weeks, since One night in Hell, I’ve had a lot of time to think. You brought up when we fought in a parking lot brawl and I hit you in the face with a tire iron. I don’t remember that, but I’ll take your word for it, I’ve had a lot of matches, you can’t expect me to remember them all. But I can tell you right now Arcadia, I won’t be hitting you with any weapon tonight. No matter how much your actions at One Night in Hell disappointed me, tonight, my only weapons are my hands. I’m all for equal rights and treating women equally and letting them wrestle men, but I can’t bring myself, especially now, hitting a women with a chair, or a Singapore cane or anything like that. I made an exception for Branden Harvey at One night in Hell, but I didn’t do it for me, I did it for all the fans and for everyone else who wanted me to send a message to that punk.
Arcadia, deep inside, I know there’s a beautiful person behind that mask. You, you just got steered down the wrong path early in your career. By being involved with guys like Khaos, Trevor Blackwell, Michael Lively. You we’re trying to run in this business before learning to walk. My first year in this business, I got my ass kicked every night, and after I won the Xtreme title, and I began fighting for what I knew was right, things began to change for the better. I held that title for almost a year. Arcadia, I know your mad at the world. But tonight, I want you to be mad at me. I want you to bring everything you got. Hit me with everything you can get your hands on. Because if you can beat me in the middle of the ring, then I will gladly admit defeat to you and say you’ve earned the Suicidal Championship. But don’t think for a second that I don’t want that championship back. Don’t forget, I’m an APW grand slam champion, I’m an APW Original. I’ve seen a lot, and I mean a lot of people come and go, and I’m still standing. That’s integrity. Tonight Arcadia, I got two things on my mind, the Suicidal Championship, and beating you. So get ready, because tonight, the suicidal title is coming home where it belongs, even if I have to send you Straight to Hell to get it back!
With that Chris puts his hand over the lens of the camera, shoves it to the side and exit’s the dressing room as the scene fades to black.
