APW Match Writing & Segment Guide
In order to make everyone's life a little easier when sending in matches or segments for shows, here's a quick guide for everyone. The less time I have to spend editing shows, the quicker they get posted!
SPECIFIC COLORS:
The following colors are reserved for APW in-character staff. If possible, please try to use a different color than the ones listed below. When sending in a segment, please try to find an original color for your character if at all possible - but not completely necessary.
President Jeff = Red (Owner/President of APW)
Johnny Rebel = Orange (Current Fedhead/Vice President of APW)
Biggs = SkyBlue (Staff/IC GM of Deception)
Darren Harvey = Yellow (Face commentator)
Johnny Chase = Limegreen (Heel Commentator)
Nicky Paige = Pink (Ring announcer)
RESULTS:
When sending in a segment, please color code it to fit the format of the show. What should be colored is the name of the person speaking, as well as what they are saying. It should look something like this:
Wrestler name: Enter the text here
Wrestler name: Enter the text here
When writing results, please CENTER everything, beginning at with the names of the people who are wrestling and then ending when the winner is declared. Example:
Entrences
with Nicky Paige introductions:
Nicky Paige: Coming to the ring, weighing in at XXX lbs., and representing CITY, STATE, WRESTLER NAME!

Pin fall attempts should look like this:
1

2

3
This is to build suspense for later on in intense matches.
Deception matches will have word limits and each match should fit within the word limit, excluding entrances. Those will be copy and pasted from the wrestler's application.
For PPV matches, lower profile matches shouldn’t be written as main event quality. World title matches and big feuds should have the longest matches and should be the high light of the show. The opening match with two new guys shouldn’t steel the show. Think realistic.
Other Codes:
Using codes like Bold and Italic should only be used for action’s being done such as door knocking, or crash noises.
No need to use brackets "( )" or "[ ]" around action text.
Any questions regarding this guide, please PM Johnny Rebel.
