Just finished watching SS. What did you think? This is the first full wrestling PPV I have watched since about 2004 so I don't know how it relates to other recent PPVs, but I thought it was a pretty poor product. The Ziggler/Morrison match was decent enough, and Punk/Del Rio was certainly the match of the night and by all accounts a soild piece of work by both men. It will be interesting to see what Punk will do with what should be an extended run as champ, especially as he has (non-Kayfabe) talked up making the product interesting again. The Show/Henry match was just awful as I expected it to be (Show's top rope spot aside) and the less said about the main event the better. All that standing around and poncing about was almost as bad as Lesnar/Goldbery as WMXX.

I thought the show was pretty good, mind you, the crowd hellped a lot. WWE should really consider doing their PPV's where there's hot crowds. They really make the PPV more enjoyable.
The opening match was very good. The Diva match was ok with a great finish. Blandy Borton didn't win, so thats a plus. The Big show, Henry match sucked till the last 2 minutes. They needed to do the super plex spot again in this match, but they didn't, making the "reinforcing the ring" thing pointless. Del Rio Vs Punk was excellent. The main event, is basically what you expected from a main event.
This was probably one of their better Servivor Series compared to recent years. I'd give it a 7 out of 10

I don't think it was pointless. You still had Big Show going from the top with the elbow, so I guess they can spin it that they reinforced it for that. Though, yes, the superplex spot would have been better, especially if the announcers sold it.
The ME was just...trash. I didn't really have high hopes for it (I was just looking forward to the 5on5 match and the Punk/Del Rio match), so I am not disappointed. Decent PPV, though, probably not one of the best in the past few months.

I'd give it a 7 out of 10 I forgot about the finish in the Divas match. That was the best spot of the night actually and I don't think I've seen a spot like that in a WWE women's match; overall, as a WWE women's match it was ok. The main event, for me, should be the showstopper. I know it doesn't always pan out that way, especially if there is a strong undercard, but I'm looking at four guys who don't wrestle and should not be combined in the main event one of WWE's premier PPVs (although The Rock tried to show he has added a few moves). I understand this match was all about the long-term storytelling and basically a glorified advert for WM, but it was a match that was more appropriate as a RAW main event, not SS for Christ's sake. Additionally, I just don't see what is so special about The Miz and R-Truth. I've only seen Miz wrestle a few times and I'm not impressed. Granted he's got all the charisma you want from a top-line heel, but his matches suck. I did like the promo R-Truth cut though. And, you're right Jeff - hats off to the MSG crowd because they were awesome.

How did you not like R-Truths Promo. That promo was golden

All of his promos are. Like I said in the chat, he goes so far off topic but always manages to bring it back around and make it make some sort of sense.

It was ehh for me. RoH's Upcoming PPV will be EPIC though. Worlds Greatest Tag Team Vs. Briscoe Brothers, Eddie Edwards Vs. Davey Richards for the ROH Strap, plus more matches I won't even mention. Great shows and these PPVs are usually among the best of the year. Back to topic though
I dislike Wade Barrett. His finish is retardeded, extra "ed" for how special it is and how hard it must be to sell that hot garbage. Loved Cody Rhodes and think highly of him now, very good and getting better. I wish Ted DiBiase Jr. would have leveled out like that. They should package Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig together (Hennig NOT McGullicutty) cause they have experience working together anyways in the indys scene.

How did you not like R-Truths Promo. That promo was golden I said I liked R-Truth's promo. I think you misread that because I said I didn't know what all the fuss is about with Miz and Truth (Miz PWIs #1 wrestler for 2011 - are you serious, bro?). From what I have seen of this pairs in-ring work WWE has much more talented guys they should be pushing - a couple of wacky promos doesn't make you main event material in my eyes. On that note, Punk/Ziggler's match on RAW last night was better than anything at SS - that was a genuinely top class, PPV-worthy match, and I think the WWE would do really well to seriously push that as a rivalry for WM.

The biggest issue I had with SS was the Main Event... Rock still has it and has even improved his wrestling ability, but the problem is for one of a few reasons they proctected Rocky too much.. He only took what, 2 bumps the whole match? He may be one of the greatest to ever step foot in the ring but unless he's injured and they aren't telling us that, that is ridiculous.
I think what happened is that because he is shooting GI Joe 2 right now, the company insuring the film would not allow Rock to Wrestling the way he wants and therefore forced WWE to limit the amount of "damage' done to him by only allowing him to take a couple bumps.. That is the only logica explanation for that steaming pile of dung that was the main event.. but becasue Rocky was in it, the MSG crowd still cheered him which is fine, he is a legend and deserves the praise but if that is any preview of what we will see at WM next year, then I will pass.
