Night…
The scene opens in downtown San Diego, California where the San Diego Seagulls tag team is standing by with some comments about their triple threat APW World Tag Team Championship match at the upcoming Christmas Chaos show. Kate Horton and Charles Scripps are both in casual workout attire as they begin to talk to the camera about the match.
Scripps: This is it. Christmas Chaos 2011 is on the horizon and we are in a match for the APW World Tag Team Championships. In fact we’re facing both the Red Shield Mafia and the Fortunate Sons which is going to make it a strategic nightmare as far as planning goes. We’re going to have to make game plans for four different wrestlers in the same match as well as for the two teams as a whole. It’s a mess!
Horton: I agree. However we can use this to our advantage.
Charles raises an eyebrow. He seems to be in skeptic mode about all of this.
Scripps: What do you mean?
Horton: Have you ever seen a war movie where they make the enemy troops crossfire and take each other out?
Charles nods his head.
Scripps: Yes.
Horton: Well that’s the plan. We need to let them take each other out before we strike. Strategically it’s a brilliant move. However planning it out and doing it are two different things entirely. It sounds good on paper but it seems like it’s going to be a no win scenario. We’re going to have to use every weapon in our arsenal to win this match.
Scripps: That is going to be a problem. With so many people to take notice of in the match then we are going to need to keep all of them under surveillance during the match. If not it’s going to be a problem. And with a problem like that then we’re going to have all kinds of problems. Not just strategic ones but logistical ones. This is the equivalent of a no win scenario. No matter what happens we will get hurt.
Kate turns to the camera with a grin on her face. She has some comments to say about their two opposing teams and has been itching to get her comments out since the camera started rolling.
Horton: Now let me say a few words to our opposition. Firstly I want to address the Fortunate Sons.
She seems to still be a bit angry with this team.
Horton: Peace, Gatsby, I think both of you are great athletes. That is something that everyone in this match can agree on. However that doesn’t change the fact that we’re going to hurt you. We have more pure wrestling talent than your team does and that’s all that’s going to matter in the end. We are wrestling machines that are well oiled and ready to destroy. The San Diego Seagulls are the biggest thing to hit the sports world since Tebowmania. Nothing that you say or do can stop the inevitable.
Scripps: And the inevitable is us kicking your asses. We’re not too keen on people who jump us from behind like cowards and that’s EXACTLY what you guys did. You jumped us from behind and all that did was piss us off. Ever since then we’ve been itching for some payback. Now we will have our chance to get it. We want to inflict pain, punishment, and torment on you both. I want this to be as much of a barbaric torture session as possible. Think Spain during the Inquisition. Now consider yourselves the heretics in this scenario. We are the torturers that are going to make you suffer. Blood will be spilled and violence will be your only reward for your cowardice.
Horton: In other words you will be wishing you never got put in this match by the time we’re done with you. We’ve beaten you once before and we will do it again.
Kate seems to be salivating at the chance to face them in the ring again.
Scripps: And finally we must talk about the Red Shield Mafia. Now Mannie and Kingston, you’ve been the champions for a few months now but nothing will change the fact that we’re the team that is destined to beat you. We don’t view you to be as invincible as you think you are. We think you are a team that is already showing cracks in the foundation. We view you as a team that is flawed and we will attack those flaws until there is nothing left but rubble and ash. This is going to be our finest hour and your final one.
Horton: That’s right. We are a team that goes straight for the weaknesses of our opponents which is logical. We are logical thinkers so that’s what we do. However, by comparison, you are just two potheads who are street tough brawlers. Just because we’re here to be athletes and not drugged out brawlers doesn’t mean we’re not tough. It just means that we’re athletically gifted. We aren’t entertainers, either. We are a team that thrives on competition and that’s why we will succeed where others fail. It’s the competition part. We’re very competitive and don’t like to lose. On the other hand you guys have made a career out of losing. That is why you will fail where we succeed. At Christmas Chaos we will take down both the Fortunate Sons and Red Shield Mafia before using the remnants of the leftover pieces to forge our new tag team championship belts that we will wear with pride. Nobody can stop this freight train and nobody will stop us from rising to the top of the heap.
Scripps: We’ll see you in the ring.
