"They aren't taking you seriously anymore. They aren't seeing you as the threat that you are."
The sound of skin hitting porcelain can be heard as the scene opens up to show Rico Casteel standing at a sink, gripping either side, hunched over. The sink is half filled with water, and the Loose Cannon has his head down. He shakes it from side to side before looking up into the mirror on the wall, just behind the sink.
"They haven't learned. They're new. They're cocky. Eventually they will be brought back to reality and eventually they will be slapped back into the present. A present where the martyrs run the show, and the martyrs are the true bringers of madness."
Rico remains stoic as his reflection begins to laugh and eventually speaks.
"You think they will learn? Do you really think they will learn?"
The reflection shakes its head.
"Jason Kash didn't learn. James Chambers didn't learn. Branden Harvey didn't learn. Warren Peace brushed you off a few weeks ago. You've become a joke. They hear you, but they don't fear you."
"Knuckles feared me."
"Did he? I get the feeling that he is too stupid to fear. I get the feeling that if he closed his eyes nothing would change."
"Maybe so. But I know he feared me. He did all he could to keep Katrina between he and I. He did all he could to make sure that the Loose Cannon didn't get his hands on him."
"Are you sure about that, Loose Cannon? Are you sure that the man was afraid or simply messing with your head?"
Rico cracks a smirk.
"He can't mess with my head anymore than it's already been messed with."
The reflection cocks an eyebrow.
"Are you blaming Mr. Morrison now?"
"Not at all. I'm thanking him. He's showed me what I need to embrace. He's shown me that I do not need to be afraid of what others will think of me. He has shown me that I can simply go out to that ring and destroy every single piece of shit that stands inside of MY ring..."
The reflection rolls it's eyes and sighs as Rico grips the edge of the sink even more.
"What?"
"Here you go again with that King shit. Give it up, your time has come and gone. You will never be the King again."
"You don't know that."
"Oh now? What were you doing a month ago?"
"Fighting Jason Kash for my crown."
"And two weeks ago you were fighting against a jackass and a woman who is holding YOUR first title. You beat them, you survived that match, you won. And now, you're fighting the bottom of the barrel. The dregs. The pieces of shit that aren't suited for the actual tag team title scene."
"It's all about steps."
"Steps my ass. You've been thrown into the fray, you've been thrown into the abyss with hopes that you'll get lost."
Rico opens his mouth to speak, and then shakes his head.
"Reginald?"
"Precisely. He's holding you down. He's making you look like a fucking punk. Denying you a rightful one on one match-up, denying you the chance to challenge for the Suicidal title. Denying you the chance to challenge for the tag team titles. Instead you get who? Las Vegas rejects?"
"It doesn't surprise me, that's for sure. Reginald has always been holding me down."
"So what are you going to do about it?"
Rico remains in contemplation for a bit before he cracks a smile.
"Destroy."
The reflection smiles in response.
"Good. Make sure they realize the mistakes they are making and make them pay for holding you down."
"It's going to be a glorious night."
"Of course it is. Not only do you and Morrison get the opportunity once again to show what the Martyrs of Madness are capable of doing, but you get a chance to attack them. They mock you."
"They haven't learned."
"But they will."
"They will."
"This isn't some fictional neighborhood where puppets rule. This is the real world where madness reigns. This is the real world where blood is spilt like water."
"This is the real world where the Loose Cannon dominates. Where the walls of the kingdom of Asylum will be bombarded until I am allowed back into the castle. Until Morrison and I can take our rightful spots at the top."
The reflection begins to slow clap and nods his head in approval.
"Now you're beginning to get it, Rico. Now, where do you begin?"
"Anti-Society X."
"And where do you end?"
"Once everyone has realized that the madness is real, and that the martyrs are not going to sit by and take kindly to the name calling and the ridicule that is thrown our way as if we were still in high school."
"And then?"
"Tag Team glory. Total domination. The Kingdom of Madness."
The reflection nods his head.
"Let the fun begin."
Rico smirks and looks back down to the water. He reaches in and pulls out the plug, letting the water drain out before looking back up and seeing his reflection. He turns his head, and the reflection mirrors it. He smiles wide and the reflection smiles as well. He stands up from the sink and turns away from the mirror, walking off, as his reflection watches him with an approving nod.
"Really, Reginald? Really?!
"The least you could do was give us a challenge. Give us a team that would actually challenge us, and not some rag tag duo that didn't really earn their place here. At least Mike and I have been busting our asses. At least he and I have been proving that we actually belong in the Asylum. As far as I remember, this duo was here once before and failed. They turned tail and ran back home only to fail there too and be forced to come back to the big time, the real world.
"Yet they're still acting as if this is a fantasy. They are still playing this whole thing off like that have a chance in hell at defeating Morrison and I. And why? Because they've won a few matches? Maybe, but any match they won would hold no water against the martyrs. Are they claiming victory because they don't see Morrison and I as a threat? How funny of them. They must not realize that I was the first ever and the only true Suicidal champion. They must not realize that I am a former World Heavyweight champion. They must not realize that Mike Morrison nearly won that title opportunity at Christmas Chaos. They must not realize that Mike Morrison is as crazy as anyone ever could be. As crazy as me.
"They must not realize that they have no fucking chance at walking out of Atlanta with anything more than disappoint emblazened on their chests.
"They joke, even though this is a very real event.
"The make fun, even though they should realize that there is nothing funny about what is about to happen to them.
"After all, what happens when you put two men, two like minded people together on one side of the ring? In the case of Anti-Society X, you work together like a well oiled machine. But when you put two like minded people with an affinity for violence, punishment and a never ending desire to destroy everyone that stands in front of them, regardless of sex, race, or stature?
"Well, you two will soon find out when you step into the ring with Mike and I. Call it a hunch, but I don't think you guys have what it takes to pull off the upset this week. And yes, it would be an upset, because there is no chance that the two of you are favored to beat us. There can't be. A former champion and a man that should have been champion, fighting under the same sense of brutality and madness, that's just a winning combination.
"And you will see that soon enough, boys. Whatever you want to call yourselves, you will both end up feeling tons of pain by the end of the evening.
"Then again, it seems delusions are nothing new for you, right? Last time you were around these parts, you felt like you were God's gift to wrestling, didn't you? You felt like you couldn't be hurt and that no matter what happened, you were always going to be at the top of the pyramid. And now, you're already talking about how Dan Bochner is going to win Survive and Conquer.
"Dan.
"That guy that hasn't achieved anything in APW, the man that hasn't really made waves of any note, thinks that he can outlast eighty five others to win one of the biggest events on the APW calender? Comedians, really. The two of you should join forces with Johnny Knuckles and go on tour, because you're living in a world of comedy. A world driven by laughs. A world where you guys don't understand the fucking truth of the entire situation.
"So let me spell it out. Dan Bochner is going to have as much chance at winning Survive and Conquer as he does in making it to Survive and Conquer. This week, he is going to take a nice long walk into the realm of madness and he is going to see just why Mike and I speak nothing but the truth. He is going to see why we are the martyrs that we say we are. You two want to crack jokes? Fine, we'll simply bash your heads in with a lead pipe. You want to think you're higher on the food chain then us? Go for it. Everyone knows the truth.
"The truth that Reginald thought you two couldn't crack it against us without Rhonda Vixen being in the match to start, that shows me what everyone thinks of you right there. She might not be carrying the two of you anymore, but she should be because then you MIGHT stand a chance.
"Don't believe me? Look back at my track record. At the bodies that I have destroyed. At the careers I have ruined. It was only a little over a year ago that I destroyed Crimson Ghost in the middle of that ring. And I have no issues doing the same to the two of you.
"As for the men in suits, Jeff and Reggie, I'm not going to pull any pathetic stunts like fighting the two of you. I won't sign any petition to get you removed from power. I won't claim one of you is any better than the others. You two might be holding me down, but I'm simply going to prove that it's not possible to hold me back. I won't join a clique of butt hurt wrestlers to get that point across either.
"I'm simply going to damage the talent on the APW roster. I'm going to take every opponent thrown my way, and I am going to make sure that they bleed. That they are broken. I am going to make sure they are taken down a few notches, and shown their true reality.
"It started with Katrina and Johnny last week, and the recognition I got for that was pathetic, just like our Suicidal champion.
"It will continue with the Las Vegas rejects.
"And it will continue to happen until my kingdom returns to me.
"Let the madness reign."
The sound of skin hitting porcelain can be heard as the scene opens up to show Rico Casteel standing at a sink, gripping either side, hunched over.
