Just a few I wanted to discuss currently. Based off the Demos alone I want to discuss Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
--Final Fantasy XIII2-- Not really a fan of the new direction FF has taken us the last few games. I think the last one I actually play and beat was 11 or 12, the one with Vaan. It wasn't a great game but had it's moments and had a good RPG feel to it. I just don't like the "advanced" game play that in turn makes it almost Non-RPG. Just not for me I suppose but there are plenty of people who I'm sure will like this. I seen Biggs playing it the other day even so maybe he'll pitch in.
--Reckoning-- I haven't beaten the Demo yet but touched up the controls a bit last night. I am very excited about this game to be honest. To me it feels like a mixture between Fable and Dragon Age but if your playing PC, it has some WOW tools as well. I'm on the PS3 so DA and Fable are the best comparisons. I love how you can switch between weapons "Primary" and "Secondary" in a matter of swinging, Prim Weapon is Square I think, Secondary is Triangle. I even loved the Magic use and the Staff of Fire you get early on, very interesting and this might be the first RPG where I look to make a Magic based character. Still one sword (One handed if choice) and a set of daggers, maybe a bow and I'm straight. I like this and I have already gotten my shit paid on at Gamestop. Free Special Weapons and Armor for the Reserve, can't lose there...

This is what you get for Reserving Your copy of Reckoning before Feb. 4th release date. www.ea.com/au/reckoning/1/pre-order-offersThey have TRON like Rings that are blades. They have Arm Blades called Fae Blades! I'm going Dual Daggers I think but damnit if I'm not having a few playthroughs with these weapons. I have a Gamestop reserve so I also get the second catagory which includes 3 full sets of Armor! Beautiful! Another thing I thought was pretty nifty is that some detailed RPGs like Elder Scrolls, follow a God to gain powers from. This game does as well but there is also a choice for "Fateless" which is not putting faith into a "God" and it gives you +1 on EXP which is dope but the "Gods" give you 2 +4-5 Stat Things so it shows the difference even there. Great layout, amazing demo. I'm hooked like a fish in the water.

I'm currently re-playing FF7 and FF8. Great games, but can't get the graphics to look good on my PS3

Yeah I had that problem with FF7 but I thought the throw back Graphics sort of helped the gameplay. Gave me memories of playing them back in the day ya know? I loved FF8 and FF9 as well, maybe a bit more than FF7 because it wasn't so MULTIPLE CHOICE. In FF7 you can do multiple things as different places but it doesn't give you that, you just have to know where to go when. In 8 those things became more rare and special to me. I loved the Ranking System in FF8 and the card game, I RULED at that shit! I loved 9 because of the story and the cartoony characters, plus you were a thief and that's just cool. Cig as a frog was kind of dope too!
Still my favorite FF is FFX and it's being revamped and rereleased on PS3 this year in HD. Like God Of War was done but this will be FFX! I am thrilled and cannot wait. Sorry, BDC caused this rant.

I only played one Final Fantasy game I dont remember which one it was but it was the first one to hit this generation's consoles. It was alright. I didn't know the story since I never played the original ones so that kinda threw me off.
I played the recent demo literally a few minutes ago and I liked the way it looks but I prefer not to do the whole do two hits and wait for your turn as you get hit sorta thing. I didn't know who I was playing as. I recognized the little Moggle thing flying next me because I play Kingdom Hearts and thanks to KH I know a few characters from FF. But other than that I don't think I'll be playing them.
I played the Reckoning demo as well. Not a big fan of it personally. I don't know. I guess I played it so I can get the extra armor for MASS EFFECT 3.
I cannot wait for Mass Effect to come out and its demo so I can try its multiplayer it looks interesting and fun. Since I don't have an XBOX I never played the original ME but I understand the story thanks to ME2. I already finished my male Paragon Shepard and my female Renegade Shepard. I am almost done with my Renegade male Shepard as well. I'm trying to kill different squad members to see how it effects the next game. I will also have to make a female Paragon Shepard with other Squad mates dying and not saving Ashley Williams and same with another Male Shepard but he will die on the last mission. That will be my final play through.

I played the first 2 on XBOX when I had one but I just fell out of the games. I think it's because I played Dragon Age and it's got alot of the same buttons and I just tired of it. Maybe I'll play it again down the road though.

Dragon age is cool. Second one isn't as much fun, but is ok. I can't enjoy FF7 and 8 on the PS3, cause the graphics are shite, and it bugs me lol. Shame though, 'cause I was really looking forward to playing them again

They weren't any better when played on the PS2 so I mean did you want them improved because at least for FF7, that'd take an entire overhaul to redo the gfx.

I'm having a blast with FFXIII-2 so far. Played for eight hours yesterday without stopping once. (Didn't even pause to go the bathroom!) Still, if you didn't like FFXIII, you won't like this one.
Also, anyone who's into JRPGs, this game came out a while ago, actually the same week as FFXIII, but if you get the chance to, I would highly recommend giving Resonance of Fate a play. It's on both X-Box 360 and Playstation 3.

Is Resonance of Fate in English? Aren't JRPGs usually in that language?

Yeah, it's in English. In Japan it was called "To the End of Eternity." The graphics are decent, but the fun comes from the awesome battle system, customizing your guns, and dressing up your characters.
