The scene opens in the office of Steven Meece, Nathaniel Havok’s attorney. In this familiar picture, we see the two familiar faces of both the Enforcer of Sorrow, as well as his legal council. As Nathaniel sits across from his attorney, he has a cocky smirk on his face. Along with the smile, we see the APW World Heavyweight Championship draped over his shoulder. He adjusts his tie, and continues to hold onto his cocky grin.
Meece: Come on, don’t lie to me. You know that he chose this match for a reason. He’s obviously got something planned, champ! You need to renegotiate this match, before you lose your title due to stupidity.
Havok: Are you questioning me? Really? What have I told you about questioning me? Have you brought me success in the ring? Have you earned all my accolades in professional wrestling? I do believe that those achievements were all met, thanks to my efforts. Forgive me if I’m mistaken, but I really don’t think I am.
Meece: No, you’re right. But I just think you might be biting off a little more than you can chew here… No pun intended.
Havok: I made the mistake of thinking that Johnny Brown could get the job done against Jason Kash, but I should have known better. Underestimating Jason Kash is something that I won’t do again. I know that he might have something planned, but I have no choice. Everything’s already booked, it’s all already official. There’s nothing I can do about it now! All I can do is get into the ring, and defend MY APW World Heavyweight Championship. But you’ve got to understand, there IS a reason that I have this belt! This title means that right now, I’m the best professional wrestler in the world! As long as Nathaniel Havok holds the richest prize in professional wrestling, AKA the APW World Heavyweight Championship… No one else can rightfully claim that they’re better. They might say that they are, but this belt will tell them a different story. And in this business, the gold is what matters. The gold is where all of the power lies. So at this point in time, no one else can say that they’re better than I am! If they do, they’re just talking out of their ass. Nathaniel Havok is not JUST the man, Nathaniel Havok is the FUCKING man. And Jason Kash, he’s in for the fight of his life. Regardless of what he’s got planned for me at the pay per view, I’m still going to walk out as the World Heavyweight Champion.
Meece: You don’t understand what I’m saying! He and Jeff could be working together! They could be plotting right this second, on how they’re going to take that title away from you! If you don’t watch out Nathaniel, they might be able to pull one over on you.
Havok: Steve, this isn’t my first rodeo. As a matter of fact, this isn’t even my first rodeo tour! I’ve been in this business for over twelve years! I’ve wrestled in bingo halls, bars, casinos, the minor leagues, major leagues, and everywhere in-between! That’s what brought me to the dance, baby! I’ve got experience that Jason Kash only wishes that he could have! What I’ve done in this business, has guaranteed the Enforcer of Sorrow a spot in the Hall of Fame, and I did it with my own originality and my very-own wrestling ability.
Meece: I wouldn’t say that, Nathaniel. You’ve always surrounded yourself with other talent. Don’t get me wrong, I understand why. I’m just saying…
Havok: There you go, questioning me again.
Nathaniel stands up from his chair and walks across the desk. He turns Steve’s chair around, so that Steve is now facing Nathaniel once again. Nathaniel grabs Meece’s tie and begins adjusting it for him.
Havok: Come on now! What the hell is this?
Meece: What?
Havok: You look tacky, I think it might be the tie. Let me just get a closer look at this…
Nathaniel jerks the tie of Steven Meece with enough force, that it causes Meece to faceplant on the table in front of him.
Havok: Let me tell you something, Steve… I know that you’ve been with me for years, and you’ve always done a great job looking out for me… But you’re about to piss me the fuck off! Keep doubting me, and I’m going to do the same thing to you, that I’m going to do to Jason Kash on Sunday! You got it!?!?
Nathaniel looks at Meece with intensity in his eyes. Meece struggles to fight away, as his face is still flat on the table.
Meece: Yeah, I got it! Yeah! Come on, I got it! Let go!
Nathaniel finally lets go, and helps Steven regain his composure. Nathaniel and Steven then have a stare down, the tension in the room could be cut with a butter knife! Nathaniel finally breaks the tension with a chuckle.
Havok: Listen, I’m sorry. I just… I don’t take kindly to doubt, especially doubt from those in my inner circle. You need to believe in me. Let’s be honest here, have I ever done you wrong before? You know that I haven’t! Everything that I’ve done in this business, it’s lead us here! We’re on top! We’ve got the gold, and we own Action Packed Wrestling! Who was everyone talking about after Christmas Chaos? Was it the epic Iron Man Match between CJ Gates and Biggs? Was it the changing of the Overdrive Championship between Kurt Noble and Johnny Rebel? No, it wasn’t. When Christmas Chaos went off the air, everyone was talking, texting, tweeting, and status updating about what the Enforcer of Sorrow had done. They were talking about man that beat APW legend Pence Weatherlight for the Xtreme Championship, and then immediately after that… Beat the living hell out of the APW President himself. But more than all of that, they were talking about the man that even after enduring 3 matches in 24 hours, still had enough left in his tank to march out to the center of the ring… And rip the World Heavyweight Championship out of the hands of Jason Kash.
What I did, was make history. I did what no man has ever done before, and what no man will ever be able to do again. It took everything I had in me to get the job done, but I was able to do it! That night, I placed myself above all the rest. CJ Gates couldn’t even top the night that I had! The Christmas of 2011 was very good to me, but I busted my ass to do it! There wasn’t a visit from Santa, nor were my victories found under a tree! I was able to beat three different men in just hours, 2 of them one right after the other! What I did at Christmas Chaos is a prime example of what makes me professional wrestlings ONLY living legend! And if beating three men in one night isn’t a good enough argument, then I don’t know an argument that could convince you. All I’m saying, is that you’re going to have to have some faith in me. I’ve got what it takes to endure anything that Jason Kash has planned. He’s nothing more than a man. Me, I’m not of this world. I come from a very rare breed of cold-blooded, homicidal, schizophrenic mad men, who also happen to be the very best fighters in the world.
There are only a very select few men who have walked this earth, that can say that as well. Men like Mike Tyson, who’s killer instinct provoked him to bite another mans ear off in the middle of a boxing match. Men like Troy Scott, who was awarded the Purple Heart in the war on terror, for his efforts and killer instinct to survive! Men like Finnish soldier Simo Häyhä, who died with a total of 705 confirmed kills on the battlefield! These men are just like me! We might differ in profession, be we are very-much alike. We possess a killer instinct that can’t be taught. It’s something that you either have, or you don’t have. When you have it, you can’ be stopped. You might stumble, but you’ll never be detoured. We are men who get what we want, and if we don’t… We take it by force! You’ve known me long enough to know that I don’t care what I have to do, I’m going to come out on top of any situation.
Meece: I know. Trust me, I do.
Havok: Jason Kash isn’t getting this belt back. It doesn’t matter what he does, what he tries, or what he’s got up his sleeve. It doesn’t matter if Jeff gets involved, Odin gets involved, or if Barney the Dinosaur shows up and tries to get involved! Knowing Jason Kash, he probably DOES know Barney the Dinosaur, but that’s besides the point. The point is, I’m going to walk out of Survive and Conquer STILL the APW World Heavyweight Champion. On worse days, I’ve beaten better men than Jason Kash. He’s got a thimble full of talent, but he’s got one of the biggest mouths in the world. His mouth has taken him this far, but this is where it all ends. A mouth can only take you so far. Eventually, you’re going to have to be able to back up what you say. That’s a lesson that Jason Kash is about to learn. When we step into the ring, when we’re bound together via dog collars, I’m going to not only destroy him… I’m going to end his damn career. All I need from you and the rest of the Cult of Personality, are words of encouragement. And it seems these days that you’re the only one who doubts me.
Meece: I don’t doubt you, I just think that you’re letting this hype get to you. You remember what happened the last time you started believing in your own hype more than anyone else? You let yourself slack, and you got injured because of it. You stopped working hard, and it nearly cost you your entire career.
Havok: I’ve learned an awful lot since then, and I’ve become a better man because of it. Sally Talfourd got what she had coming to her, because of what she had done to me in the past. I might have played it off like I loved her, but we both know the truth. It was all apart of a bigger picture, one that elevated me to heights that I hadn’t seen before. Being the APW World Heavyweight Champion, means that you set the bar. Right now, I do. The future might be left to those like Chaz Dillinger, but the present is all about the Enforcer of Sorrow! Jason Kash has no clue what he’s in store for. If he thinks that he can use this match to his advantage, he’s more than wrong! I’ve beaten him in singles competition before, and I’m going to do it begin. Regardless of how people feel about the way in which I won the title, the fact still remains that the belt belongs to me. I earned it, and am entitled to gloat about it. Jason Kash might have been a victim of circumstance at Christmas Chaos, but he’s going to lose due his lack of ability this time around. I’m much, much better than Jason Kash, and he already knows that. But at Survive and Conquer, I’m going to show the entire world exactly how much better I am than he is, as I walk out of the pay per view, still the World Heavyweight Champion.
Steven Meece continues to agree with everything that Nathaniel has to say, as the scene fades to black.
