Dan's statement on Cid Phoenix deciding to put his Unified Title on the line...
"Cid Phoenix is a class act. Leave it to him to Give the fans that extra incentive to go crazy over Survive & Conquer by making his match a bonafide World Title Match. I know that win or lose, he's gonna give it his all."
Cid Phoenix could not be reached for comment, as he reportedly spent time with his younger brother Cayce, who flew in from Philadelphia to be in attendance for Survive and Conquer, where it is believed that this may well be his brother's final match. Dan also added these few words surrounding the rumours of Cid's possible retirement..
"If it is in fact his final match - I want him to know that he was a friend and brother to me, when I needed one. And it'll be really sad to see him go. We shook things up wherever we went and raised tons of hell. I guess we'll see what happens at Survive and Conquer!"
