Dark Match [/u] Zachary Rodell vs. Mr. Dangerous The bell rings as Mr. Dangerous runs at full speed towards Rodell, Zach moves out of the way and Mr. Dangerous trips and falls into the ropes bouncing onto the canvas. Zach makes his move and begins to stop on Mr. dangerous who rolls out of the ring and starts to complain to the referee that he wasn’t ready. Rodell steps back and takes and applause with him as he does. Mr. Dangerous rolls back into the ring and begins to circle Zach as they lock up in the center of the ring. Neither man seems to want to budge but eventually Dangerous get the advantage taking Rodell down to one knee. The fans cheer as Mr. Dangerous lets out a big scream. Rodell begins to fight this and manages to get back up to both feet before kicking Mr. Dangerous in the gut knocking him off balance. Rodell grabs Mr. Dangerous in a headlock and runs into the ropes coming back planting him face first into the canvas with a running bulldog. Rodell pulls Mr. Dangerous to his feet and whips him across the ring; bouncing back Rodell goes down low and knocks Mr. Dangerous off his feet once more with a legsweep. Rodell looks to capitalize once more and uses the middle rope for elevation and lands his legs across Mr. Dangerous’ back. Rodell bounces back up and celebrates to the crowd. Mr. Dangerous is nearly back to his feet as Rodell pushes him into the corner and whips him hard across the ring into the other corner following up with a clothesline of his own. Mr. Dangerous stumbles out of the corner with his fists raised punching the air. Rodell uses the ropes and bounces back dragging Mr. dangerous to the floor with him. Rodell is on a roll and he looks to finally put Mr. Dangerous away. Rodell points to the top rope and begins to make his ascent to the top. When he gets there he steadies himself but Mr dangerous begins to kick the ropes unsteadying Rodell. Rodell loses his balance and comes crashing down landing on his back. Mr. Dangerous stretches his arm out for the cover as the referee realizes what has happened and begins to count. 1 . . 2 . . 3!!!! Winner: Mr. Dangerous[/center] Pyro shoots from the stage and the camera pans through the crowd as the fans are on their feet in excitement for seeing APW. The camera then cuts to ringside with Darren Harvey and Johnny Chase Harvey: Welcome everyone to Thursday Night Overdrive/color]
Chase: We have a packed show tonight.
Harvey: Our main event tonight. Two men who used to be tag team champions together as the Exchange Rate. CJ Gates takes on Blade in a non title match up
Chase: Also tonight, we will see Nathaniel Havok take on John Dionysus.
Harvey: Also tonight, we will see the former Overdrive champion, Johnny Rebel, take on the new Overdrive Champion, Terry Marvin
Chase: This should make for a great match
Harvey: And speaking of Johnny Rebel
#SIMPLY #F’N #PUT
“Smoke on the Water” by Deep Purple blares over the loudspeakers as “Simply Put” Johnny Rebel pokes his head through the curtains as the crowd immediately erupts in hatred for the former Overdrive champion. Blade is following close behind him while the two make their way to the ring. Rebel slides his sunglasses over his head and tries to hand them to a young girl sitting ringside but she throws them back as they smack against his nose. Rebel cracks a faint smile and continues down the ramp. They reach the ring and Johnny Chase hands Rebel a microphone.
Rebel: It’s absolutely ridiculous that I’m standing in this ring tonight with the Overdrive championship! What kind of match happens where the title changes hands when the champion isn’t even in the ring to be pinned! It’s an absolute travesty and I demand that C.J. Gates be punished for drawing me out of the ring. This is the type of champion that you dolts sell your souls for? He talks a big game about being fair and just but at the end of the day he’s no better than anybody else. While I was champion this brand was running sold-out shows and merchandise sales were at an all-time high! I’ve carried the APW on my back and quite frankly I’m a little bit offended that President Jeff would allow such shenanigans to occur to such a great champion! I demand that Terry Marvin walk out to this ring right now and hand over the Overdrive championship to its rightful owner!
The whining Rebel turns over and leans up against the top rope waiting for Marvin’s theme music to hit the arena. After several moments, Rebel gives up hope.
Rebel: I knew that he wouldn’t have the stones to come down here and hand over my property! I want you all to know that I’ve come to grips with the reality that the Overdrive belt is no longer in my possession. You see I have set my sights on something far greater: the Undisputed Championship!
The crowd boos at the thought of Rebel wearing the most prestigious title in all of wrestling. Rebel taps Blade on the chest as the two share a laugh at the fans reaction.
Rebel: That’s right folks. You only have a few more weeks left to watch your hero walk around with the Undisputed title! At Rasslemania, the reign of Rebel will begin!
The former champion seems to be enjoying himself in the ring until “I Will Not Bow” by Breaking Benjamin comes booming through the speakers. The fans come unglued as Kurt Noble makes an appearance on the entrance ramp with a microphone in one hand and his cane in the other.
Harvey: Thank goodness Kurt Noble has finally shown up to put an end to Rebel's mindless drivel!
Chase: Hush, Darren! Rebel's speaking nothing but the truth!
Noble: You’re not fooling these people, Rebel. The whole world saw what you tried to do last week when you laid down for buddy Blade over there. How’d that work out for you?
Blade isn’t amused by Noble’s comments as Rebel has to step in between them to keep Blade from leaving the ring and heading after Noble.
Noble: If I were you, I’d dial down the confidence a little because if there is going to be a new champion walking out of Rasslemania, than it’s going to be me! It’s confession time: I was rooting for you to retain the Overdrive championship last week on Overdrive. Since the score between us is sitting at one piece I thought that maybe one more match was fitting to try and find out who the better man really is. I guess we’ll never know since you couldn’t hold on to the belt long enough to get the match down on paper!
This time Noble’s comments set off Rebel as he throws a tantrum in the ring. He kicks the bottom ropes a few times before calming down.
Rebel: That wasn’t my fault and you know it! If you’re looking to throw blame at someone than point your crippled fingers at C.J. Gates!
Harvey: Oh, come on, Rebel! You chased Gates out of the ring yourself! He didn't do anything but get payback from all of the times you interrupted his matches.
Noble turns his head sideways with a disgusted look about him. He could have almost predicted that was going to be Rebel’s comeback.
Rebel: You saw the match and you know what happened… and it’s an absolute injustice that you or anyone else believes otherwise. I’m not going to sit out here and defend myself against someone like you. This whole arena knows that I’m the real Overdrive champion and I don’t need a championship belt to prove that. My face plastered all over the banners and programs that these fools are carrying around today is proof enough that I’m running this show and I’m not going to let you or anybody else take that away from me!
Chase: Tell 'em, Johnny!
Blade rips the microphone from Rebel’s hands and begins a stare down with Kurt Noble.
Blade: Rebel would beat you anytime and anywhere! He proved that he was the better man when he won the championship back from you at Christmas Chaos and would do it again with his eyes closed! Let’s quit this back and forth garbage that isn’t getting us anywhere and how about he proves it next week on Overdrive!
The fans erupt at Blade’s challenge on behalf of Rebel as Noble cracks a smile at the top of the entrance ramp. Rebel grabs Blade by the shoulders and shoves him back in the corner before yelling “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” with a horrified look on his face.
Noble: I think that’s a fantastic idea, Blade. Honestly, I can’t think of a reason why we can’t handle this right here and right now! What do ya' say Rebel?
Kurt drops the microphone as Rebel is jumping up and down in the ring while frantically waving his arms. Noble gets to the bottom of the ramp and hops up with one knee on the apron and a hand on the top rope. In an effort to get as far from Noble as possible, Rebel shoves Blade towards Kurt and dips out underneath the bottom rope on the other side of the ring. The fans closest to him at ringside begin to make crying noises towards Rebel as he refuses to break eye contact with Noble. Blade is prepared to take on Noble but Kurt hops down from the apron and grabs his microphone on the way back up the ramp.
Noble: The truth finally comes out and the world sees your true colors! The truth is you’re nothing but a weasel and you don’t have the gall to back-up all the things you have been running your mouth about. I’m pretty sure that the two of you have concocted some kind of plan to ensure that Blade gets the easy win tonight over Gates but know that I’m going to be watching the both of you like a hawk!
Noble reaches the top of the ramp as Rebel has found his way back in the ring now that the threat of attack has passed.
Noble: Let’s end this debate once and for all and find out just who the better man is next week. The challenge stands and I’ll be waiting with baited breath to hear your answer, Johnny!
“I Will Not Bow” by Breaking Benjamin starts up again as Noble drops the microphone to a chorus of cheers from the crowd. Rebel stands in the middle of the ring shaking his head at Noble, and burying his right index finger in to the chest of Blade for issuing the challenge to begin with.
Harvey: It looks like there is trouble in paradise, Chase. Blade may have overstepped his boundaries a little by issuing the challenge to Noble on Rebel’s behalf!
Chase: Who does Blade think he is? Rebel doesn’t need to prove to anyone that he’s the best in the world. He’s already beaten that cripple once and shouldn’t have to do it again!
Harvey: Stay with us folks, we’ll be right back!

Harvey: Back at ringside we look to our next bout featuring Yarmouth Bl…Chase: Let me stop you there. It’s Yarmouth vs. DreggsHarvey: You are right, I keep forgetting that. Yarmouth seems to have been in a bit of a slump since losing to Blade at Survive and Conquer, let’s see if he can get one up on Dreggs who last week unfortunately got tamed by the snake.Chase: I think you mean Cobra…Harvey: Let’s just get on with the show…The lights go down in the arena and a red spot light spans all over the crowd as they boo loudly then red and white pyrotechnics blast of at the top of the stage. Paige: Introducing first standing at 6 feet 9 inches, weighing in at 245lbs. Hailing from New York City… YARMOUTH!!!!!!!Yarmouth comes out and swaggers down to the ramp ignoring the fans and climb in to the ring with his face looking ice cold. Paige: And his opponent, weighing in at 212lbs hailing from the wrong side of the tracks… DREGGS!!!!!Devil Without a Cause hits the loud speakers and Dreggs makes his way slowly to the ring. He doesn't shake hands with any fans. He ignores them. He walks to the ring with a shovel in hand. Once he's in the ring, he poses with his shovel. Dreggs vs. Yarmouth
Harvey: Looks like this one is going to be over sooner than we think…
Yarmouth has just ripped the shovel out of Dreggs hands and thrown it over the top rope. He forces his hand around Dreggs’ neck and pushes him into the corner. The sheer size of Yarmouth overpowers Dreggs and he raises his arm in the air before bringing it crashing down onto the chest of Dreggs knocking the air out of him. Yarmouth reaches up and pulls the hair of Dreggs tossing him half way across the ring. Yarmouth steadily strides over and is knocked off balance when Dreggs kicks him in the knees. Yarmouth is hardly knocked by this and reaches down trying to pull Dreggs back to his feet. Dreggs reaches out and holds onto the ropes as Yarmouth continues to yank at his ankles. Eventually breaking the grip, Dreggs flies through the air and bounces off the canvas.
Chase: Yarmouth is just using Dreggs like a toy here…
Yarmouth pulls Dreggs to his feet using his hair once more and tries to hook him up for a suplex. Dreggs manages to counter and sticks his leg in between Yarmouth’s and blocks it. Yarmouth tries once more to the same effect. Releasing the hold, Yarmouth begins to rain down with a few hard forearms on Dreggs’ back knocking him to his knees. He lifts his arm up and brings it crashing down on Dregg’s head rendering him nearly unconscious. Yarmouth covers him with one foot as the referee counts…

KICKOUT!
Chase: Wow, I thought Dreggs really had been knocked out then Harvey: Doubtful, he still has that smug look on his face.
Yarmouth begins to stamp on Dreggs while he lies on the canvas before the referee intervenes and pushes him away. A lifeless Dreggs begins to claw his way over to the ropes and pull himself back up as Yarmouth is once again on the war path. Yarmouth goes to shop Dreggs once mnore but is blocked. Dreggs manages to get a couple of blows in of his own to the gut of Yarmouth knocking him backwards. Dreggs uses the ropes for some extra bounce and comes flying back with a shoulder block on Yarmouth knocking him further off balance. Dreggs one again uses the ropes and comes back hard with another shoulder block this time taking himself and Yarmouth to the outside.
Harvey: it’s going to be a chore getting Yarmouth back into the ring, Somehow I don’t see Dreggs being able to lift him off the ground.
Chase: You could be right there…
Dreggs begins to unload on Yarmouth on the outside, using the steps as a weapon. He props Yarmouth up against them and begins to kick him in the chest repeatedly. The referee is counting on the inide urging both men to get back into the ring…

3 .
Harvey: No Dreggs, get him back in the ring. It’s the only way you are going to win this.
Chase: I don’t think he has any intention of winning this match at all. His career seems to be over before it has even started.

The referee calls for the bell as Dreggs looks up at him. He holds his head in disappointment before kicking Yarmouth in the chest once more. The fans are on their feet booing the wrestlers as they feel they have just been robbed.

The doors to the arena open and in walks the new APW Overdrive champion, The Real Show Terry Marvin. He walks down the hall getting glares and angry stares from everyone standing around. He scoffs at this and just continues walking the hall, ignoring glare after glare. Finally he sees Hannah Storm standing by the locker room and walks up to her with a smile. Terry Marvin: Hannah Storm! It’s definitely your lucky day, as I am here to grant you the very first interview with APW’s newest champion. He smiles brightly, but Hannah looks at him with an “as if” look on her face. She rolls her eyes and then turns her back on him. Hannah Storm: Uh, thanks, but I’m gonna take a pass. She flips her hair and then walks away from him. He finds this funny at first, but then the anger builds in him. How dare this second rate little pop tart turn him down for an interview. He was trying to do her a favor and she spits in his face. He continues his walk with the glares really getting to him now. He snarls at a stage hand and causes him to scamper off in fear. He sees Cindy Shannon and puts on his award winning smile as he approaches. Terry Marvin: The lovely Cindy Shannon! Today just happens to be your lucky day. You are about to get the very FIRST interview with the BRAND NEW APW Overdrive Champion. Cindy flashes him her smile. But soon her facial expression drops and her right hand comes up with a hard slap to his face. She turns and walks away leaving Terry to stand there alone. He hears laughter coming from behind him and turns to see Keaton Saint standing there looking smug. Keaton Saint: Now that was smooth. Can you teach me some of your classic moves?Terry Marvin: You know Keaton, jealousy is not a very good look on you. Still a little stung that you couldn’t get the job done last week? Keaton chuckles a little bit and shakes his head. He gets up in Terrys face. Keaton Saint: You are a despicable human being. I don’t care what you can do inside that ring, outside of it you are scum!Terry Marvin: Scum or not, I am the OVERDRIVE champion, and as I proved last week, superior to you In EVERY way possible. Keaton Saint: You don’t deserve that title. And soon somebody is going to snatch it off of you and show the world what you really are. A pure and simple loser. And I promise you that somebody will be me!Terry just laughs at Keaton and rolls his eyes. Terry Marvin: Was that a threat or your lame attempt at a challenge. You know what, lame or not it doesn’t matter. I said last week that I will take on all challengers, even if I have to fish them out of the bottom of the barrel. But boy…. You have no idea what you’re getting myself into. Terry turns to walk away but Keaton grabs his shoulder and turns him back. Terry looks down at Keaton’s hand on his shoulder and then glares up at him. Keaton Saint: You may have lucked out last week and stole away with that title, but make no mistake. YOU DID NOT BEAT ME. And you cannot beat me. Soon, that title will be mine, and there’s not a thing you can do about it! Terry and Keaton stare each other down for a few long second. Finally Terry smiles and hoists his title up before walking past him, bumping him with his shoulder as he walks past and we go to ringside. Paige: The following match-up is scheduled for one-fall!"Got The Life" fills the arena as a shadow appears up in the rafters as the crowd are in an uproar. Chants of "The Grave Stalker" & "You Need Help!!!" are split amongst the capacity crowd. Donovan Caine stretches out gripping a black rope sliding down from the Rafters into the Squared Circle. He's weilding a Steel Black Bat pointing it around the Arena at various fans smiling sickly. He then takes off his black trench coat, gives it to the referee and tosses the bat to the outside. Caine's cold dead eyes are well placed upon the entrance ramp. Before he can properly smoke fills the arena especially the ring. It's a bitter fog and finally he's announced.... Paige: Introducing first. hailing from A Shallow Grave, weighing in at 210 pounds..."The King Of The Dead" Donovan Caine!COBRA makes his way down to the ring, hidden beneath a hooded robe. Once inside, He pulls back the hood to reveal either a mask or facepaint. He climbs the turn buckles and spits mist up in a sea of green over the fans. He then hops down and awaits for the match to begin. Paige: And his opponent, weighing in at 170 pounds...Cobra!Donovan Caine vs. Cobra
The bell rings as both men slowly begin to circle about the ring. Caine moves forward to try and go for the lock-up, but Cobra kicks in the gut, catching him off-guard! Despite his smaller size, Cobra goes on an offensive flurry, landing hard kicks to Caine’s side, culminating in Cobra hitting Caine with a thrust kick that sends him through the middle rope! Caine hits the floor below as Cobra hisses like a snake at his downed opponent!
Chase: Man, this guy is just CREEPY! Look at him hissing like he actually believes he’s a snake!
Harvey: It’s all part of the mind games that he successfully employed against Dreggs last week. He moved like a snake too! Did you see how quick those kicks were?
Cobra slides under the bottom rope, and instantly begins to strike down on Caine with quick hands. Caine uses the apron to pull himself up, but Cobra rams his head against it, and then begins to choke him down on the mats! The crowd in front of Cobra boos him, but it appears to have little effect on the snakeish wrestler! Cobra lifts up Caine, and hits a throat thrust on him! Caine stumbles back against the guard rail, holding his throat in pain! Cobra then throws Caine back into the ring, but as he slides in himself, Caine catches Cobra with a stiff chop! Cobra reels back against the ropes, and walks into a hard shoulder block! Cobra gets thrown back into the turnbuckle corner as Caine gains the offense with some hard hits. Caine Irish Whips Cobra, who reverses the move and sends Caine into the corner. Cobra rushes in speedily, but gets an elbow to the temple! However, it doesn’t seem to bother Cobra as he hits some kicks to Caine’s stomach!
Harvey: We’re seeing a very physical match so far, without a whole lot of grappling. These are two fine undercard strikers!
Chase: Yeah, Snake Boy and Halloween Man sure are weird alright…oh, what were you saying?
Cobra sends Caine down, and continues on until the referee moves him away. Cobra hisses at the referee, who doesn’t quite know how to respond. Cobra walks back towards Caine, but Caine hits Cobra with a spinning back fist! Cobra stumbles back, and Caine sends Cobra down with a clothesline! Caine lifts up Cobra, and drops him down with a suplex. Caine continues to lift up Cobra and drop him with suplexes until Cobra slows down in trying to get back up. Cobra’s energy seems unrelenting though, and Caine clearly seems frustrated. To keep him down, Caine lifts up Cobra and drops him with a body press! However, Cobra nimble lands on his feet, and when Caine turns around, he gets a low dropkick and then a Shining Wizard! Cobra goes for the pin…
1 . . . 2 . .
Kickout by Donovan Caine!
Harvey: Close fall! Cobra’s energy is incredible, but it’s clear that Caine’s hits are slowing him down. If Caine can hit one hard move on Cobra, then maybe he can keep the Poisoned Snaked down!
Chase: Can we call animal control and get this freak out of here? Overdrive has enough problems!
Both men stand up suddenly, and Cobra goes for a high kick, but Caine ducks it and drops Cobra with a back drop! Cobra grabs his back in pain, and tries to roll out of the ring to regroup. However, Caine is hot on his trail! Caine rolls out after him as Cobra moves around the corner! Caine goes after him…but Cobra surprises Caine with a spinning high kick! Caine stumbles back, and Cobra charges…but Caine moves out of the way as Cobra lunges, causing Cobra to go over the announce table and land in the laps of the two commentators!
Chase: GET IT OFF OF ME!
Harvey: Uh…
Caine grabs Cobra, and drags him away. He throws Cobra back into the ring, before lifting him up and dropping Cobra with a Crucifix Powerbomb! He holds for the pin…
1 . . . 2 . . . 3-
Kickout by Cobra!
Chase: Seriously, I am going to need to take five showers to get that off of me…
Harvey: Oh hush! Donovan Caine almost won this match with that move! He may have just put the Cobra down! Caine stands up, and signals for the end! He lifts up Cobra for the Six Feet Under (Tombstone Piledriver), but Cobra wiggles out of it! Cobra then tries to lock in a Cobra Clutch, but Caine elbows him in the ribs! Caine lands an astonishingly hard blow to Cobra’s nose! Cobra stumbles back against the ropes…and gets lifted and dropped with the Six Feet Under! Caine makes the pin… 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Winner: Donovan Caine Caine's music plays as the ref raises his arm in victory. Harvey: A much needed win for Donovan Caine here.Chase: Hopefully this win puts him back on the path of successCaine celebrates his victory as we go backstage As the cameras panned to the back, instantly they featured one of the newest superstar to the Overdrive Roster. It was the legendary icon: Michael Harris. He was all geared up for the night as he looked at the cameras and wasted no time at all speaking out loud to catch the attention of everyone watching around the world. Michael Harris: I made my official debut last week here on Overdrive. From the moment I stepped into the building till the moment I got in the ring. I was disrespected. No one seemed to care about me. No one seemed to care about anything I have done in the past. No one seemed to really believe anything I had to say, but the moment I stepped into that ring and the moment I whooped Matt Slater's ass everyone's opinion seemed to change real quick. As usual people jumped on the Michael Harris bandwagon.Harris was shown shaking his head a little bit, but it wasn't long before the people heard from him again. Michael Harris: I am used to that. I have experienced it quite a bit in my twelve years with this business. People hate on me, but then when they see what I'm capable of. They suddenly become my biggest fans. Let me break it down like this, so people never get confused. I don't care if you love me. I don't care if you hate me. I don't care if you boo me and I don't care if you cheer me. Your opinion doesn't mean anything to me. It never has and it never will. I still do what I need to do for myself, and you'll see that again here tonight. There was a small pause which left the crowd wondering just exactly what he meant by those comments. Harris really knew how to leave them hanging. It was a special quality he had, but just then he began speaking again filling everyone in on just exactly what he meant. Michael Harris: I am in the ring with some woman by the name of Jen Rynette and it seems she's looking forward to making a name for herself around here. She's all focused on becoming the biggest thing in women's wrestling. She wants to become a real superstar and that's fine. However she's going to have to do it on her own time, because it isn't going to happen on mine. It isn't going to happen when she's in the ring with me. Matter of fact, what will happen is the entire world watching me put Jen in her place with ease as I pick up another victory. You all might wonder why I think it's so easy, and I have an answer for that. It's because I am simply better than all of you! There were some mixed reactions from the crowd as expected. Harris just gave that cocky little grin that he could only give before walking out of the cameras view leaving them all wondering what would take place when he stepped into the ring a little later tonight. Just then the cameras cut to commercial break.

The camera shifts backstage where interviewer Cindy Shannon is waiting with a microphone in hand. Cindy: At this time, I’d like to introduce my guest tonight! He is the APW Undisputed Champion…CJ Gates! The screen shifts over to show CJ Gates, with his title belt over his shoulder. Cindy: CJ, do you have any reactions about what occurred at the beginning of Overdrive tonight?Gates: You would think that Johnny Rebel would stop surprising me after all these weeks, but he manages to keep it up. Johnny Rebel might have one “friend” in APW, and he’s definitely not looking out for him. That’s Johnny Rebel for you.Cindy: So you don’t think Rebel deserves a chance to face you at Rasslemania for the Undisputed Championship?Gates: If Rebel can show me that he’s Undisputed Championship material, then he deserves a shot. Until then, he’s going to have to get used to throwing a fit in the ring.Cindy: But do you think he would have won last week’s Overdrive Championship match had you not interfered in the match?Gates: All I did was stop Rebel from getting disqualified so he can retain the title. He’s done it before, and he’d do it again. Besides, he interrupted my Undisputed Championship match last August, so I don’t expect any crying on Rebel’s behalf.Cindy: And what about Kurt Noble? He seems to also be interested in possibly facing you at Rasslemania. Is he more deserving than Johnny Rebel?Gates: Absolutely. Kurt has had my back and defended APW since he got here six months ago. He’s performed well in his time here, and he’d be a challenge I’d be willing to face.Cindy: If Kurt Noble and Johnny Rebel faced off, who do you believe would actually win?Gates: Well, they’re 1-1 right now, so it’s anyone’s game assuming Blade wouldn’t interfere. That might be the most fair way to determine my Rasslemania opponent if it came down to it.Cindy: Speaking of Blade, any final thoughts on him tonight?Gates: Blade knows Johnny Rebel doesn’t have his back tonight during the Main Event, so it’s just the two of us. He has to prove that it’s really his year to go big…or he’s going home disappointed.Cindy: Thanks for your time CJ!Gates: Anytime Cindy.Gates nods, and walks off as the camera goes to the ring… Paige: The following contest is scheduled for one fallIn the arena where all the fans sit awaiting the next bit of action to take place. The lights suddenly go out and the titantron comes on only to show a graphic featuring the letters "MH" wrapped in barbwire. It's about that time "Tear It Up" begins to blare over the arena's speakers and there's an instant reaction from the crowd. Some cheered and some booed for the simple fact they knew who was about to appear. A single spotlight shined down on the entrance way as wrestling legend: Michael Harris stepped out from behind the curtains and onto the stage where the spotlight shined down on him. He was dressed in his ring gear with a beanie on his head. Harris simply looked around at the crowd before smirking all cocky like. Paige: Introducing first, from Chicago, Illinois. Weighing in at 225 pounds, MICHAEL….HARRIS!Moments later he started to make his way down the ramp. Once he had got to the ring he slid into it from under the bottom rope and got up to his feet. His first instinct was to climb the nearest turnbuckle which he did. Harris proceeded to tilt his head back and throw his arms out to the side for his signature "Bow to me" taunt. There was a little more cheering from the crowd at this point. Moments later he took off his beanie tossing it into the crowd and jumped down off the turnbuckle. Harris proceeded to lean in that corner as the lights came back on and his music began to fade. Soon enough it was going to be all about business. Rainbow strobe lights flash wildly around the arena as 'Metro' suddenly blasts out of the speakers. Out of the curtain steps a young woman with a mango smoothie in hand. Walking beside her is a young blonde, her manager and friends Carrie Haute and Felicity Tatem, and a red lizard is wrapped around Jen's shoulders, glaring around as Ryette casually throws her smoothie into the crowd and skips down the ramp to the ring. Paige: And his opponent, from Nikko, Japan. Weighing in at 120 pounds….JEN…RYETTE!!Pyro shoots up at the end of the ramp, and Jen pounces forward, flipping herself into the ring. Hopping to her feet, Jen waves giddily at the crowd, before placing her lizard down, who then crawls to the corner and out of the ring, along with Carrie, before Jen then gets into a zenkutsu-dachi stance (or front stance), awaiting the start of the match. Singles Match [/u] Michael Harris Vs Jen Ryette The two circle each other and they go for a lock up but Jen ducks it and comes at Michael with some kicks and then runs off the ropes. She comes back and baseball slides under Michaels legs. She gets to her feet, Michael turns and Jen takes Michael over with an arm drag. Michael gets up and Jen hits him with a dropkick. Michael gets up using the corner. Jen runs, jumps on Michael’s legs and Monkey flips him out of the corner. Michael gets up and Jen hits him with a running spinning heel kick and covers him 1 . . . . 2 . . . Kick Out Harvey: Jen needs to use her speed and keep on top of Michael if she wants to win, and that looks exactly like what she’s doingChase: Michael has a 100 pound weight advantage over her!Jen helps Michael to his feet and she takes him to the corner and then chops him. Jen goes to throw Michael into the opposite corner, but Michael reverses the Irish whip and Jen goes into the corner. Michael runs at her and Jen gets both her feet up into Michael’s Face. Jen hops up to the middle turn buckle and dives off with a Hurricanrana, but Michael catches her and power bombs her right into the turn buckle! Harvey: Holy Crap!Chase: I bet Jen didn’t expect that one.Michael pulls Jen up and hits her with a European Uppercut and she falls back into the corner. Michael pulls her out of the corner, and lifts her up for a suplex. He holds her their for a few seconds then comes down with a Brain Buster! Michael covers, hooking the leg 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . Jen Kicks Out Harvey: Michael is showing no Sympathy for Jen here.Chase: You can’t be soft in this business. Paige: The following contest is scheduled for one fallDarkness consumes most of the arena except for the entrance as the crowd boo loudly, blue and white strobe lights circling around in stationary motion as "Insurrection" by Lamb of God plays from the speakers. Soon enough the lights scatter and spread across the shadowed tiers of the arena in rhythm as Matt Slater walks out from behind the curtain, bearing a stoic expression on his face. He slowly strolls onto center stage and stands relaxed with his head bowed, listening to the repetitive drum and bass chords that resound from the speakers. After raising his head up, Slater exhales slowly, taking a methodical stride down the ramp without rushing, the lights sweeping all around him that create an atmospheric scene one can only truly experience live inside the arena. Paige: Introducing first, from Manchester, England. Weighing in at 230 pounds…MATT…..SLATER!!!After a while of walking, Slater reaches the ringside area and uses the stairs to ascend onto the apron, walking alongside it slowly as he brushes his hand across the ropes. Looking around momentarily with pure loathing, Slater steps through the ropes and strolls across the ring, walking to the far turnbuckle and mounting its formations. Slater glances out at the crowd without raising his arms or doing any kind of gesturing motion, simply surveying those who boo his presence. After a short while Slater climbs down and walks back to the center of the ring, ready and willing to take on his opponent. Chase: You think he is related to A.C Slater?Harvey: Doubt it!The lights in the arena are down as the opening beat of Cinema hit’s the dark arena as Chris Hart emerges from the back with pink laser lights flashing all around the arena. The pulsing beat and laser lights show continue as he walks down the ring and slides into the ring. Going to the far corner, Chris climbs the turnbuckle and throws one arm up in the air and looks out at the cheering crowd. Paige: And his opponent, from Calgary, Alberta Canada. Weighing in at 190 pounds, CHRIS….HART!Chris flips off the rope and stares down his opponent, waiting for the bell to start the match. Singles Match [/u] Chris Hart Vs Matt Slater The bell rings and they go for a lock up and Matt kicks Chris in the midsection and then throws him to the corner. Matt chops Chris again, then grabs him in a headlock and drags Chris face across the top rope, taking him to the next corner. Matt snap mares Chris out of the corner and then dropkicks him in the back of the head. Matt lifts Chris up and then picks him up and drops him with a back breaker then covers Chris 1 . . . 2 . . . Matt jumps up holding his knee and Chris dropkicks it, sending Matt to the mat. He picks Matt up and throws him into the corner. Matt hit’s the corner hard and he bounces out of the corner. Chris grabs him and throws him across the ring with an arm drag. Matt gets up and Chris arm drags him again. Matt pulls himself up using the ropes. Chris runs and clotheslines Matt over the top rope and to the floor and the crowd cheer’s. Harvey: I think Chris may be going for a high risk move hereMatt gets up and Chris vaults himself over the top rope and Matt moves out of the way and Chris crashes to the floor. Chase: Matt moved just in the nick of timeMatt lifts Chris up and rolls him into the ring. Matt hops up to the ring apron. Chris gets to his feet and Matt grabs him and hooks him up for a suplex. He tries lifting Chris up to suplex him out of the ring, but Chris fights it and blocks the suplex. Chris then lifts Matt up and suplexes him back into the ring. Chris rolls under the ropes and gets on the ring apron. Matt gets up and Chris Spingboards in with a Hurricanrana, and Matt counters it with a sit down power bomb! Winner: Chris Hart Chris music plays over the PA as the ref raises his arm in victory. Harvey: A tough match for Chris, but he was able to come out on top in this one. Chase: Chris got lucky. Chris celebrates his victory as we go backstage The scene cuts backstage where Nathaniel Havok is standing right outside of President Jeff’s office. He grabs a hold of the door handle and takes a deep breath, before violently opening the door, and bursting into Jeff’s office. Once inside the office, we see that Jeff is sitting with a few suit-and-tie, corporate executives. While the executives might be startled with the abrupt appearance of Nathaniel Havok, Jeff doesn’t flinch one bit… Havok: Hey ya boss, what the hell do ya say?President Jeff: Nathaniel, what are you doing here?Havok: I want my damn rematch, and I want it tonight!President Jeff: You already had your rematch, and you lost. Now get lost!Nathaniel walks up to Jeff’s desk and takes a snow globe off of the table. He looks at it with a calm smile on his face, and then violently throws it against the wall. As the snow globe shatters into little pieces, Nathaniel gets right in Jeff’s face. Havok: No! You took fate into your hands, in a place where you’re supposed to be non-biased! I want my God damn rematch, and I want you to stay out of it!Jeff stands up from his seat, refusing to be intimidated by the Enforcer of Sorrow. President Jeff: I got involved, because you had a plan. I got involved, to make sure your plan failed. I got involved, to make sure that the better wrestler won. And by my estimation, the better wrestling DID win. Now, get out of my office!Havok: You got involved Jeff, because it’s your goal in life to destroy me. Wasn’t that why you gave me a shot in APW to begin with? It wasn’t enough to distract me all year long from the World Title, but then you had to go and cost me the championship?President Jeff: You lost the title at Survive and Conquer, no one else was to blame. All I did in the second match was even up the odds! So you can go to the back of line, work your way back up, and earn another title match just like everyone else.Nathaniel seems offended by Jeff’s comments. Havok: Just like everyone else? JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!?!? Are you high? Newsflash douche bag, I’m Nathaniel Havok… I’m not just like everyone else.President Jeff: I beg to differ. You’re under contract to ME! Therefore, you’re just like everyone else. Ever wrestler who walks through APW doors, they get the same shots and opportunities as everyone else. You might think that you’re something special, but you’re just another body in a professional wrestling ring… Like it or not.Nathaniel stares at Jeff with an intense look in his eyes. He then looks around the room, and backs away from Jeff with a smirk on his face. Havok: You know what, to hell with it. Nathaniel Havok, just another body in a wrestling ring?Nathaniel scoffs as he reaches the door. Havok: I’ll show you, Jeff. You’ve got one week, Jeff! One week!Nathaniel opens the door and exit’s the room, leaving Jeff rolling his eyes and shaking his head in sisgust. The scene then fades back to ringside. Harvey: One week? For what?Chase: I don’t know, but Jeff needs to be careful of what he says!Overdrive goes to commercial

The lights Dim down as the vocal introduction to “Hate Me Now” by Nas ft. Puff Daddy is played. Blue and silver lights illuminate the Entrance way and Pyro goes off as soon as the Music kicks in. "The Real Show" Terry Marvin, carrying the APW Overdrive Championship belt, makes his way down the ramp jawing and messing with the fans all the way down. Paige: The following contest is a non-title match and is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring; from Las Vegas, Nevada; he weighs 245lbs; he is the APW Overdrive Champion...’The Real Show’...TERRY MARVIN! Marvin rolls into the ring and poses on the turnbuckle, holding his arms out like the people should worship him. #SIMPLY F'N PUT! A recorded voice comes over the loud speaker and "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple blasts over the PA. Johnny Rebel comes out in a gold robe shimmering in the lights. "SIMPLY PUT" is written in silver on the back. His blonde goatee is neatly trimmed and blonde hair is freshly cut; his eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses. #IT'S TIME TO PRAY THE PRICE! The crowd has come unglued in their hatred for Rebel. He gets to the ring and pulls a camera man down to the ground and on all fours as Rebel uses him as a stepping stone to get in the ring. He takes off his robe to reveal his gold tights and tasselled white boots. He poses on the second turnbuckle with both hands held high. Paige: His opponent: from Chicago, Illinois; he weighs 234lbs; he is ‘Simply Put’...JOHNNY REBEL! Non-title Match Johnny Rebel vs. Terry Marvin
The ref brings both men together and instructs them about his expectations for the match. Rebel is mouthing off at new Overdrive Champion who is grinning right back at him.
Harvey: The former Overdrive Champion has a few words to say here to the man who defeated him for the title last week.
Chase: Darren, behave! T-Marv did not defeat Rebel last week. That phony, C.J. Gates, dragged Rebel into the crowd to prevent him retaining the title, or allowing someone deserving to win it.
Rebel takes off his sunglasses and turns to throw them to the corner, Marvin pounces by grabbing Rebel and hits him with repeated punches, backing Rebel onto the ropes. Marvin whips Rebel across the ring to the opposite ropes, follows behind and connects with a running lariat that is so stiff it knocks Rebel off his feet and spinning 180 degrees before landing face down on the mat. Marvin bounces off the ropes and after a bit of a flourish and taunt to the fans drops an elbow onto the head of Rebel and makes the cover...
1 . . . . . 2 . Rebel kicks out.
Marvin is up quickly and pulls Rebel to his feet. Marvin grabs Rebel’s head and takes him down into a sitting position with a snapmare and quickly follows this up with a dropkick to the back of the head. Rebel flops onto his side and uses the momentum from the kick to roll under the bottom rope and out of the ring.
Harvey: A hot start by the Champion, and Rebel escaping the ring here to regroup.
Chase: Very smart by Rebel: he isn’t going to allow T-Marv to gain any kind of momentum in this match. That is exactly why this man is the greatest Overdrive Champion of all time, and the reason why he is going to be the man to end C.J. Gates’ fluke run as Undisputed Champion.
Harvey: Fluke run? Even by your standards that is an outrageous claim.
Rebel leans on crowd barrier, taking some time to catch a breather and regroup. The ref starts a count out, and when it reaches four Marvin becomes impatient and goes in pursuit of Rebel. The former Overdrive Champion quickly moves away though and runs around the ring as Marvin gives chase. The ref’s count reaches seven when Rebel rolls back into the ring. Marvin slides in a second later, but Rebel slides straight back out again, eliciting boos from the crowd and a frustrated sigh from Marvin. Rebel makes his way towards the ramp and starts wagging his finger at Marvin who is calling him back to the ring. A chant starts up in the crowd, the words are ‘Simply Sucks!’ The ref has started a count again and is on three when Rebel starts to talking trash at a group of young men who are giving him some abuse from the front row. The ref’s count reaches eight and Marvin, not satisfied with the situation slides out of the ring, grabs Rebel and rolls him under the bottom rope and back into the ring. This turns the jeers to cheers. Marvin slides in to the ring but Rebel is waiting for him and starts to stomp all over his back, and as Marvin starts rising this turns to some stiff forearms clubs to the back, shoulder and back of the head. Rebel uses these brawling methods to control Marvin and back him into a corner. Marvin drops to his knees and Rebel responds with a lifted knee to the face, and pushes Marvin upright leaning against the turnbuckle. Rebel climbs the second rope, closes his fists and prepares to pummel Marvin’s head but ‘The Real Show’ pushes Rebel off and he lands on his back. Marvin lifts himself onto the second rope and looks about to let fly when Rebel rolls away and flees the ring under the bottom rope.
Harvey: Yet again Rebel escaping the heat of the kitchen. You have to agree Johnny that this is nothing but a stall tactic.
Chase: Darren, would you stay in the ring and just let a man like T-Marv beat on you? Anyway, J-Reb isn’t doing anything illegal here, he’s perfectly entitled to use the ten count in this match.
Harvey: Well it’s hardly the most sportsmanlike conduct.
Chase: Do you think a man as brilliant as Johnny Rebel cares about anything other than winning; he’s happy to let losers like Kurt Noble keep their sportsmanship.
Rebel repeats his routine of walking around the ring, while Marvin looks on with frustration at these constant stalling tactics. The ref has had enough and cuts across the ring to confront Rebel on the outside. An argument between the two ensues with the ref threatening to disqualify Rebel if he continues with the stalling tactics. Rebel gets in the face of the ref and responds to the effect that it would be more than his life’s worth to do that. While this argument continues Marvin slides out of the ring and attacks Rebel with a forearm to the back of the head. Rebel stumbles forwards and is stopped only by the commentator’s table. Marvin tries to grab Rebel but the former Overdrive Champion counters with a back elbow, and then explodes from his bent over position and connects with a superkick to the chops of Marvin, the resonating slap of the shot evoking a pop from the crowd. Rebel wastes no time now, suggesting his antics were tactical, and grabs Marvin running him shoulder first into the nearest ring post. Rebel picks up Marvin and repeats this move, but this time with greater velocity. Marvin flops on the floor outside the ring, Rebel starts playing the pantomime villain to the crowd who respond accordingly.
Rebel rolls Marvin back into the ring, follows and is quick to apply an armbar to Marvin’s hurt shoulder. Rebel leans hi weight on the joint and cranks hard at the arm to maximise the damage. After about twenty seconds of this Rebel gets to his feet, while maintaining control of Marvin’s arm and twists the joint with an arm wrench. Marvin calls out in pain, Rebel jabs out a toe kick and then takes Marvin down into the armbar again. Marvin is in a lot of pain at this point and his flailing his loose arm around and kicking his legs in desperation. Rebel starts shouting trash at him and calls for him to ‘give it up!’ The ref is ‘Johnny on the spot’, but there is no giving up from Marvin, showing the heart and character of a Champion. Desperate, Marvin reaches back with his loose arm and grabs a handful of Rebel’s hair and yanks the head back as hard as he can. It is a great ploy because Rebel releases the pressure and the hold is broken as both men roll away from each other.
Harvey: That’s no conventional wrestling move being deployed by T-Marv in that exchange.
Chase: Not only that it, it’s an illegal one. The referee should be having a few strong words with T-Marv about hair-pulling.
Both men get to their feet, Marvin a bit sluggishly favouring his shoulder. Rebel like a shark smelling blood is straight on the attack and dropkicks the injured shoulder of Marvin, who drops tone knee. Rebel is up quickly and grapples Marvin and hits a side suplex and quickly hooks a leg...
1 . . . 2 . . Marvin kicks out!
Rebel lifts Marvin and whips him into a corner, following up with a strong running lariat. Marvin sells the move ala Ric Flair with an exaggerated fall landing face down on the mat and rolling over onto his back. Rebel climbs to the middle rope and hits an elbow drop and looks for another pin attempt...
1 . . . . . 2 . . . . Marvin gets a shoulder up!
Harvey: Another cover from Rebel, and another kick out by T-Marv. The champ is really hanging on here.
Chase: We’re seeing Rebel really turn the screw right now; this is his Champion qualities shining through.
Rebel glares at the ref and it carries all the suggestion of a slow count. Rebel wants this match over and done with: he pulls Marvin to his feet and toe kicks him hard to the midsection. Rebel drags Marvin into the set-up for The Putdown (The Pedigree). Rebel looks for the double arm underhook but Marvin fights him off, grabs Rebel by the legs and powers upwards reversing with a back body drop. Rebel lands in a seated position, Marvin spins around and delivers a stiff and very agricultural kick to the back of the head, followed by a sliding forearm into the face after bouncing off the ropes. Marvin is quickly into the cover and hooks the legs...
1 . . . . 2 . . . Rebel powers out and tries to roll away. Marvin pulls him back and pins his shoulders again...
. . . . 1 . . . 2 . . . Rebel kicks outs and is quick to roll away from Marvin.
Rebel uses the ropes to get to his feet but as soon as he does Marvin is all over him and takes down into a headlock followed by a takedown into a sleeper hold. Both men remain in this rest hold for a good half a minute and ref performs the infallible ‘arm drop’ test to check Rebel hasn’t been choked out. We get to two limp arm drops, but Rebel holds his arm upright on the third, now trying to fight back. Rebel pushes himself up to his full height and slams his head backwards trying to headbutt Marvin, after four or five attempt he catches Marvin on the brow and the sleeper hold is broken. The headbutt has really dazed Marvin, Rebel runs against the ropes and tries to take advantage with a running arm lariat but Marvin ducks and counters with a Side Effect. Marvin is slow to cover though and when he does Rebel kicks out after a two count. Rebel is still feeling the effects of the slam though and remains on the mat. Marvin moves across to one of the turnbuckles and climbs to the top rope. Marvin waits for Rebel to get to his feet and jumps off looking for a flying clothesline but Rebel jabs out a foot and connects with a toe kick, followed by a gutwrench powerbomb and a pin attempt...
1 . . . . 2 . . . Marvin kicks out!
Rebel is really frustrated now. He drags Marvin and again looks for The Putdown, but Marvin counters with a double leg takedown and a slingshot into the turnbuckle, Rebel smashes face first into in it, turns and is floored with a running Enziguri. Marvin drops down across the body of Rebel...
1 . . . 2 . . . Rebel puts a foot on the bottom rope!
It is now Marvin’s turn to look frustrated. Marvin pulls Rebel up into a waistlock and attempts a German suplex but as he tries to thrust Rebel over his head pain shoots through Marvin’s injured elbow and he breaks away from Rebel favouring his shoulder. Rebel is unhesitant, grabs Marvin’s injured arm, wrenches the shoulder joint so hard that Marvin doubles over and delivers a couple of elbows to the back of the head. Rebel gets in the face of Marvin and mouths off some trash, wrenches the joint again before bouncing off the ropes and charging back at Marvin who counters from his kneeled position with a spinning heel kick. Rebel is up straight away holding his face, Marvin gets into position and connects with You’re Cancelled (Side Russian Leg Sweep/Reverse DDT). The spot gets a big pop from the crowd. Marvin covers Rebel and counts along with the crowd with a nod of his head only to be surprised not to hear the third thump of the ref’s hand against the mat.
Harvey: What the heck! It’s that damn Blade! He’s pulled the ref out of the ring!
Marvin looks up and sees Blade grinning at him outside the ring. The ref starts giving Blade some verbal abuse and Blade reciprocates. Marvin gets to his feet, charges across the ring and leaps over the top rope landing on top of both Blade and the ref with a suicide corkscrew moonsault. Huge pop from the crowd. Marvin works quickly to grab Blade and throws him against the crowd barrier, mounting Blade and pounding away at his face.
Chase: Ref! Ref! Somebody! Stop this illegal assault!
Harvey: This is exactly what Blade deserves. He has no business being out here.
The crowd count the punches to ten, Marvin shouts ‘ten more?’ but before he can unload more blows Rebel comes from behind and kicks Marvin to the back of the head. Rebel helps Blade back to his feet and the two start to double team Marvin in the aisle with a flurry of stomps to the body. Upon Rebel’s orders Blade rolls Marvin into the ring and the double team continues.
Harvey: Am I the only one is finds this whole thing perverse! This isn’t right! It’s supposed to be one on one!
Chase: Darren, quick getting your panties in a twist! Terry Marvin says he is ‘The Real Show’, well let’s see how much of the show he can handle.
Marvin is propped against a turnbuckle. Rebel instructs Blade to attack him, which he does with a running arm lariat. Blade walks over to Rebel and whips him towards Marvin and another stiff arm lariat connects. Rebel drags Marvin to the centre of the ring and tells Blade to get the ref back into play. Rebel drags Marvin across and sets him up for The Putdown as the ref is rolled back into the ring by Blade.
Harvey: Damn you Johnny Rebel! This is no way to win a match.
Chase: Simply put: never ever back against Johnny Rebel!
Rebel has Marvin set-up for The Putdown but Marvin counters into a flapjack onto the top rope. Blade jumps onto the ring apron but Marvin charges across and knocks him off with a drop kick. Marvin gets to his feet and shouts some trash at Blade but walks backwards into a roll-up by Rebel, who also grabs two handfuls of tights...
1 . . . . . 2 . . . . 3
Winner: Johnny Rebel Marvin kicks out but it’s a second too late. Rebel is quick to roll out of the ring and join Blade on the outside, a big grin across his face. Marvin is frustrated as Rebel’s music plays and he is announced as winner. However, the ref hands Marvin back the title and he holds this up in clear view of Blade and Rebel who make their way backstage. Harvey: It’s a win for Johnny Rebel! This alliance with Blade paying dividends yet again. Chase: What are you talking about? Simply put, he just scored a clean win over the Overdrive Champion. The scene opens backstage. Cindy Shannon is standing by with the APW Xtreme Champion John Dionysus. The title belt is draped over Dionysus' shoulder. Cindy: John Dionysus, your match with former World Heavyweight Champion Nathaniel Havok is just moments away. We’ve heard you speak in the build up about the importance of this match to you. How determined are you to go out there and win tonight?Dionysus: People may think I’m exaggerating if I say this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, but the God’s honest truth is this may be the only chance I have to beat Nathaniel Havok and extinguish the remaining flames of doubt about my merit as the Xtreme Champion. I say this without any pretention at all, but I am completely focussed on returning this title to the forefront of APW. For this aspirational roster I see no reason why there can’t be a third championship worth competing for, and I want to be the man who makes this title right here [Dionysus taps the title] relevant again.Cindy: And a win over Nathaniel Havok tonight is the key to this ambition?Dionysus: The key? I think the ambition depends on me winning tonight. Let’s not forget and play down the fact that Nathaniel Havok was never officially beaten for this title, and although this match is not officially a title match I think you and everyone else watching will agree that the spirit of the title is on the line. If I am to be everything I say I want to be I simply have to win this match.Cindy: And if you don’t?Dionysus pauses for a few moments, allowing the silence to linger before giving his answer. Dionysus: Well, I guess only the APW fans can answer that question.John Dionysus walks away from Cindy Shannon, the camera tracks his movement as he makes his way toward the entrance to the inner arena. Harvey: Folks, don’t go anywhere: Dionysus versus Havok is next!Overdrive cuts to a commercial break.

Paige: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Darkness. There is the sound of a bell being tolled. “For Whom the Bell Tolls” begins to play. The song plays for one minute and 43 seconds before the main riff of the song kicks in and John Dionysus walks from behind the curtain – it is the only ostentatious event in the whole entrance. He takes a few steps forward and soaks in the response from the crowd, rotating his arms around his body and limbering up for the in-ring action. Paige: Introducing first… From Boston, Massachusetts; he weighs 255lbs; he is JOHN DIONYSUS!After about ten seconds Dionysus walks towards the ring. Dionysus stops as he reaches the end of the gangway, skips on his toes for a few seconds and then slides under the bottom rope into the ring. 'Cult of Personality' hits on the PA system as bright white and red strobe lights flicker around the arena. Nathaniel steps out from the back, and casually walks to the top of the ramp. Some fans begin to boo him, but his "cult-like" following overshadows them with their deafening cheers. He gives a sadistic grin to the crowd before throwing his hands in the air as Pyro goes off around him. Paige: And his opponent, from Indianapolis, Indiana, weighing in at 242 pounds, NATHANIEL….HAVVVVVVVVVVOK! Nathaniel then begins to casually walk down the ramp, hopping onto the ring apron, and climbing the rope. He taunts the crowd before jumping over the ropes, and into the ring. Nathaniel runs the ropes a few times, getting a feel for them before the match. He then takes his shirt off, tosses it into the crowd, and stands in his corner as the music dies out. Harvey: We are just one week separated from Havok trying and failing to retain his title at Overdrive.
Chase: Come on Harv, if you’re going to tell the story, tell the whole story. Last week Havok was SCREWED by Jeff AGAIN! He had everything under control then President Jeff made his presence felt.
Nathaniel Havok vs. John Dionysus
The two men size each other up in the middle of the ring. After a few shared words and some glares, they tie up, both jockeying for position, each trying to get the upper hand. After a few seconds of failed exchanges, they break off. Havok screams something at John and yells at the ref about pulling hair or some other crap. They stare each other down again and then go for another lockup. Havok kicks Dionysus in the leg and then hits him with a quick chop knocking him back into the ropes. But John rebounds with a running lariat to the head that takes Havok down to the mat. Havok rolls to the outside and then slams his hands on the apron, pointing and screaming at Dionysus. The ref pulls John back as Havok rolls into the ring. They square off again and lock up one more time. Havok locks in a arm wrench and pulls up hard on the arm. Dionysus counters it into a headlock on Havok. Havok slides out of it and flips Dionysus over with an armdrag and then locks in an armbar on the mat. John is quick to the ropes and the Ref breaks the hold.
Harvey: A little back and forth between the two of them here, both being cautious as to not make a mistake.
Chase: Both of these men are aggressive so it’s very odd to see this kind of slow paced match going on right now.
When Dionysus gets to his feet Havok is there with a kick to the gut and a snap suplex hard to the mat. He goes for the quick cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . KICKOUT
Havok gets up and starts stomping the hell out of the arm of John Dionysus. He takes a couple steps back and lets John get up to his feet before running in and kicking him hard in the side of the head. Dionysus collapses to the mat face first and Havok is there to lift him up to his feet, hooks him and takes him down with a spinning neck breaker. He stands up and lets out a loud laugh as the crowd boos and jeers at him loudly. He pulls Dionysus back up to his feet and Hooks him for a DDT. But John somehow manages to hit a few quick jabs into the ribs of Havok and then uses the distraction to shove him hard into the turnbuckle. He then unloads on HAvok with body shot after body shot until he finishes off with a HUGE uppercut to the chin whipping Havok back against the corner and rebounding down hard on the mat face first. He pulls Havok to his feet, hooks him in a hammerlock then grabs his head and drops him down on his knee back first. He then rolls Havok over and then runs at him with a big knee drop. He covers him with his forearm across the face.
1 . . . 2 . . . KICKOUT!
Harvey: it seems like Havok is no match for the power of the skilled fists and feet of John Dionysus.
Chase: Many people have counted Havok out too soon before and you just repeated thatmistake Harvey. This match is far from over.
Dionysus pulls Havok to his feet and receives a rake to the eyes for his trouble. Havok bounces off the ropes and comes back with a huge Shining Wizard Enziguri to the head of John taking him down hard. Nathaniel now mounts on top of Dionysus and begins to unload on him with a plethora of rights and lefts, and he doesn’t stop at all. The Ref is there with the count 1…2…3….4….. Havok finally breaks the hold and whips off the ropes droping a huge spinning leg drop across John’s chest. He pulls him to his feet , and hooks him in a fisherman Suplex position. He lift shim and DROPS HIM ON HIS HEAD. All Killer, No Filler is what he calls that and he makes the quick cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . SHOULDER UP!
Havok pounds the mat as he gets to his feet and sets up in the corner waiting for John to get to his feet. He crouches down waiting and then explodes out of the corner heading for the Crowning….but John sees it coming and grabs Havok instead and drops him with a huge Spinebuster before mounting him and unleashing him with punches and elbows…also known as Hard Knocks.
Harvey: What a counter there by Dionysus!
Chase: Well yeah, he had to pull out a desperation move there as Havok was about to finish him off.
John pulls Havok to his fet before taking him back down with a fireman’s carry takeover. He then pulls him back up and kicks him in the gut followed by a knee lift to the torso and an elbow to the back of the head. He grabs Havok again and NAILS the Above the Cut. He makes another cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . SHOULDER UP!
Dionysus is back to his feet and he kicks Havok over time and time again in the ribs. He pulls him up and nails him with a huge headbut followed by knife edge chops backing Havok up into the ropes. John tucks Havok’s arms over the ropes and Chops him over and over again, the sound echoing through the arena and the fans “WOOOO”ing after each one! He then whips Havok into the ropes and on the rebound catches him with a Backdrop Backbreaker! He makes another cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . KICKOUT!
Dionysus pulls Havok back to his feet and locks him in a reverse facelock. He clubs him a coupld times with forearms across the torso, but as he goes for the Cerebral Bore he gets a thumb to the eye and Nathaniel Slides out of his grasp and kicks him in the gut lifts him up and drops him with a Gut Wrench Powerbomb. He makes a cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . KICKOUT!
He gets John back to his feet and drops him with a Inverted DDT. He runs to the ropes and comes sprinting back before droping a huge Elbow drop. He pulls John up and takes him down with a Belly to Belly suplex. Havok poses for the crowd and gets booed loudly for it. Havok is feeling it and screams at Dionysus to get to his feet. When he does, HAvok sneaks up behind him and takes him with a German Suplex! He pulls John back up to his feet and lifts him up on his shoulder calling for the Dreamweaver. John hits a few elbows to the head of Havok and drops down off his shoulders. He stumbles around and back and HAVOK SPEARS HIM HARD OUT OF NOWHERE! He makes a cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . LEG ON THE ROPES!
Harvey: Havok is on fire here and it may spell the end of Dionysus.
Chase: It will spell the end, mark my words this is over!
Havok pulls John back to his feet, but John shoves him off and catches him with a roundhouse to the head. He stumbles back but then shakes off the cobwebs and Goes back to work on Havok hitting him with a Knee Smash facebreaker lifting him up on his shoulders and hits a Reverse Samoan Drop. He makes yet another cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . KICKOUT!
John pounds the mat out of frustration. He begins to throw hard lefts and rights at Havok Before he pulls him to his feet. Havok returns with lefts and rights of his own. The two of them trade punches back and forth before they both bounce off the ropes and run fully at each other colliding hard and crashing to the mat. The ref is there to make the count as they struggle to get up.
1 . . . 2 . . . 3 . . . 4 . . . 5 . . . 6 . . . 7 . . . 8
They both pull themselves up using the ropes and stare at each other across the ring. They run at each other and Havok ducks under a clothesline by John and rebounds off the ropes and hits THE CROWNING right in the middle of the ring. John manages to push off Havok and shoves him into the ropes and catches him as he runs back and DROPS HIM WITH THE EVENT HORIZON! He makes the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . 3!!
Winner: John Dionysus
John's music plays as the ref hands him the Xtreme Title and raises his arm in victory.
Harvey: Havok has been in a slump as of late
Chase: I think he's too focused on President Jeff right now.
John continues to celebrate as we go to commercial.

Post by President Jeff on Feb 16, 2012 21:35:00 GMT -4
The scene opens in the Alaskan wilderness. There are trees everywhere and snow covering the ground. It looks like something you'd see on the Travel Channel. It's scenic, it's peaceful, it's tranquil...and then there's a gunshot. This soon followed by a thud. The camera then pans over to show the newest member of APW Michael Edwards with a rifle in his hands. He's dressed in heavy layers of hunting clothing due to the unforgiving cold of his native Alaska this time of year. As he holds his rifle in one hand he pulls out a beer with his other hand and takes a sip of it before looking at the camera. Edwards: Hello liberal Democrats of America. My name is Michael Edwards and I'm sure you're all in an uproar over me shooting that caribou over there beyond the treeline. At this point a devious smirk creeps across his face as he continues. Edwards: Do you think I care about what you people think? No, I think not. You people are scum. The big cities in this nation are infested with drugs, marijuana, hookers, and scum. That is why I live here in Alaska. To be away from you people before I hurt somebody. But now I have to come back. I have to be the best wrestler in the world and in order to do so I must hurt people. This is the end for you scumbags and hookers. I am Michael Edwards and I will hunt you down.He points the rifle in the direction of the camera and fires. Scene immediately fades back to ringside Paige: The following contest is the main event of the evening! Making his way to the ring first, weighing in at 246 pounds, from Manchester, England, Blade!
"Bulls on Parade" by Rage against the Machine blasts out over the PA system; a few moments pass and Blade emerges from behind the curtain and stops on the top of the ramp. The fans begins to boo loudly as blade smirks and takes it all in. He begins to strut down towards the ring where he stops and points his finger out at his opponent. They step back and Blade uses the ropes to enter the ring. Paige: And his opponent, weighing in at 215 pounds, from Fargo, North Dakota, and he is the APW Undisputed Champion, C.J. Gates!
“Shooting Star” by Black Stone Cherry begins to play as the fans cheer loudly. C.J. Gates quickly makes his way out of the back wearing his trademark cowboy hat and his “Go Big or Go Home” T-shirt, and he has the APW Undisputed title around his waist. He bounces around at the entrance a bit before moving towards the ring, bouncing to the beat. Gates reaches the ring and slides in under the bottom rope before springing to his feet and climbing the nearest turnbuckle. He looks out at the fans before he unclasps the Undisputed title and raises it up in the air to a loud chorus of cheers from the fans. He climbs back down and removes his cowboy hat and carefully hands it off, before removing his t-shirt. Main Event/Non-Title C.J. Gates vs. Blade
Right as the bell rings, the two men meet in the middle of the ring, trading punches fast and furious as they go back and forth, no love-loss between the two of them. Blade uses his size advantage to gain some momentum as he leads Gates towards the ropes. He wraps his hands around the Undisputed Champion’s throat as the referee begins counting towards five as Blade backs-off as he gets to four lifting his hands in the air. The referee prods Blade to get back but Blade gently shoves him out of the way and drives an elbow in to the throat of Gates. The man in charge isn’t thrilled with Blade’s blatant cheating and threatens to disqualify him if he does it again. The scolding gives Gates enough time to recover and uses his speed to gain an edge and kicks Blade in the stomach and while he’s doubled over, Gates sends Blade to the mat with a Russian leg-sweep. He pops back up immediately and quickly goes for a standing moonsault but Blade rolls out of the way, and gets back up to his feet. As Gates begins to push himself back up to all fours, Blade rushes in and plans his boot in to the side of his face and knocking him back down. Blade then yanks Gates right back up, and proceeds to pound him with right hands to the midsection backing him into the corner. After a few more haymakers for good measure, Blade yanks him out of the corner, turning him inside out with a flipping clothesline!
Harvey: There certainly doesn’t appear to be any lingering good will between the former tag-champions! Blade is ruthless out there tonight!
Chase: It looks like Blade has flipped a switch over the past few weeks and really elevated his game!
After a few stomps, Blade reaches down to pull Gates up, but the champ shows some craftiness, and pulls Blade over in a small package:
1 . . . 2 . . Blade kicks out!
Both men hop back up, and Gates comes flying in with a knee to the gut before going to whip him towards the ropes. Blade again uses his size to his advantage and reverses the attempt as Gates comes flying back off the cables and slides underneath Blade’s legs and as Blade turns around Gates is already back on his feet and catches him with a dropkick to the chin. Gates dives in for the quick pin attempt:
1 . . Blade powers out!
Gates drops a few elbows across the face of Blade and hooks both legs, hoping to catch his former partner by surprise…
1 . . 2 . . Blade kicks out yet again!
Harvey: Gates isn’t wasting any time here tonight! He’s attempted three pin attempts here and the match is only a few minutes out.
Chase: Gates might be stupid but he ain’t dumb, Darren! He knows that the longer he allows Blade to stick around, the more dangerous he is!
Harvey: I’m not sure what that means, Johnny…
Blade is the first to reach his feet as Gates as huddled on one knee in the corner before eventually pulling himself up with the ropes. Gates rushes in, using the bottom rope as a springboard and grabs Blade by the neck with his legs while trying to flip him over with a headscissors takedown but Blade catches him in the act. Blade locks both of Gates legs around his neck with his hands and spins around with Gates hanging, finally letting go after several rotations and sends the champion sailing through the ring and on to the outside. Blade takes a second to gain his bearings and follows suit by dropping to the apron and rolling outside of the ring. Gates is up to one knee as Blade drops a powerful double-axehandle across his back, which flattens him out on his stomach. He grabs a handful of Gates neck and sends him shoulder first in to the steel steps. Blade rolls back in to the ring to break the referees count and slides back out to help Gates back in the ring. Gates seems to be in a significant amount of pain as Blade nonchalantly covers by placing his foot on Gates stomach:
1 . . 2 . . Gates gets a shoulder up!
Harvey: There wasn’t a chance that Blade was going to pin the Undisputed Champion that way! You have to put a little more effort in than that, Chase!
Chase: Have you seen the size of Blade’s foot? I’m pretty sure Gates couldn’t even count the lights because he couldn’t see them!
Blade sizes up Gates and drops a well-placed elbow across the chest of Gates. The man from Manchester, England seems to be in complete control over the match and is giving the champion all he wants and more. Blade welcomes Gates to get back up and as soon as he does Blade levels with the wobbly-champion with a lariat. He then hooks his arm and leg in to Gates’ arms and pulls him over in to a pinning predicament..
1 . . 2 . . Gates puts a foot on the ropes.
Harvey: There is some type of commotion going on in the crowd? What’s happening over there?
Chase: It’s Johnny Rebel! Yes! I knew this match would get interesting at some point!
Rebel comes running through the crowd and uses the guardrail to catapult himself over. Blade simply nods to the former Overdrive champion and keeps his focus on Gates, as C.J. doesn’t have a clue that Rebel has made an appearance ringside. “Simply Put” walks over to the timekeepers table and picks up the Undisputed Championship and straps it around his waist. He isn’t finished collecting though as he puts on Gates’ cowboy hat and yells out to a few fans at ringside with an overzealous country accent: “GO BIG OR GO HOME YA’LL!” Rebel chucks at himself for a few seconds and begins to walk towards the entrance ramp. Gates catches a glimpse at him from the corner of his eye and in frantically tries to jump through the ropes to catch Rebel getting away with his belt. Blade stops Gates in his tracks with a huge kick to the side of the head and drags him back in the middle of the ring.
Harvey: Rebel’s leaving with the Undisputed Championship! What a chump!
Chase: Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em, steal their gold!
The fans erupt as Kurt appears through the ramp as Rebel continues backing up the ramp while picking at some of the fans in the process. Noble doesn’t rush him but waits for Rebel to get close enough to strike. Finally, Rebel slowly turns around to give one last pose with the belt as C.J is still completely unaware as to what has happened. Johnny tosses the belt over his shoulder and prepares to leave the ringside area as he finally comes face to face with Noble. Kurt spears him on the ramp and the two go rolling down the ramp. The two trade punches as Kurt gets the advantage and drops Rebel with a huge right hand. Rebel scurries down the ramp as Kurt follows him with eventually Rebel running through the ring to get away from Noble. Blade steps in between the two of them as the referee begins screaming for Rebel to get out of the ring. Meanwhile, Gates is lying face down in the corner of the ring. Johnny obeys the referee and slides out the opposite side of the ring away from Noble and leaves the area through the crowd.
Harvey: Look at Rebel hightailing it out of here as quickly as he came in. I can’t believe he thought he’d just waltz down here and steal Gates’ title without a fight!
Chase: He was going to get away with it until Noble showed up!
Noble walks up the ramp and passes by the Undisputed Championship lying on the ground. He stops, turns around and picks up the belt.
Harvey: Kurt’s going to do the right thing here and bring it back to Gates’ corner!
The announcer gets a little ahead of himself as Kurt drapes the title over his shoulder and walks up the ramp disappearing through the curtain with the belt in tow.
Chase: I love it! Kurt is showing a little bit of edge tonight walking out with the belt that he stopped Rebel from stealing! I knew he had it him!
Harvey: He’s just keeping it safe from thieves like Rebel and Blade, Johnny! He’ll be waiting in the back to make sure it gets back in to Gates’ hands!
Chase: Bullhooey, Darren! He wants the championship just as bad as Rebel! As far as Gates knows, Rebel has the belt in his possession.
The action in the ring resumes as Blade remains in complete control of the match, calmly sizing up the downed champio. He then sprints forward and punts Gates’ square in the gut causing C.J to writhe around the mat with his hands wrapped firmly around his stomach. Blade shoves Gates down to the mat by his shoulders and leans over in a push-up position on Gates’ chest for yet another attempt at the pin:
1 . . 2 . . Gates barely squeaks out!
Harvey: These pinning attempts are coming fast and furious!
Chase: The best way to wear out Gates is to make him muster all his strength in to continuously kicking out of Blade’s pin attempts! He’s got a huge size advantage and eventually Gates isn’t going to have enough energy to kick out!
Blade continues to work his strategy of wearing out his smaller opponent and isn’t showing any signs of frustration just yet. He pulls up the seemingly lifeless Gates to his waist and wraps his arms around Gates’ mid-section before launching him up in the air. Gates has just enough left to heave a right hand towards the forehead of Blade which causes the two to stumble backwards. Feeling that he might be able to break the powerbomb attempt, he drops another bomb on Blade’s head as the two are now teetering back and forth. Gates leans over and in a last-ditch effort he sends both men over the top rope with a hurnacanrana as Blade goes crashing to the mat while Gates slams hard on the apron. The fans roar in their approval as the referee begins the count:
1 . . 2 . . 3 . Gates is the first to show signs of life and uses the ropes to pull himself back in the ring while the referee continues to count out Blade. . 4 . The Undisputed Champion is back up on his feet and on the opposite end of the ring; Blade has two arms draped over the apron in an effort to get back in the ring. Gates bounces off the ropes and comes flying in with a suicide dive causing both men to crash in to the steal guardrail. The referee has to restart his count:
1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . 5 . Gates may have taken the worst of his high-risk maneuver but is the first back up to his feet and grabs Blade by the hair and throws him back in the ring.
Harvey: Gates showing why he’s one of the best in the world right now.
Chase: Best in the world? He’s an idiot! That move did more damage to him than it did to Blade… there’s no way he can keep up this pace especially after all the damage Blade has done to him up until now.
Blade is stumbling around the ring as Gates is resting on the second turnbuckle waiting for his opponent to get in position. Gates leaps off grabbing Blade by the back of the head and drives him face first with a bulldog. Starting to sense that Blade might possibly be on edge, he kips up and measuring Blade’s face the champion slams his leg across the throat with a quick legdrop. Gates drags Blade by an arm and a leg towards the corner turnbuckle. Facing outwards towards the crowd, Gates slings himself up and bounces off the turnbuckle with a split-legged corkscrew that causes Blade to hunch him. The move takes a little out of Gates as he is slow to rise but reaches over for the cover…
1 . . 2 . . Shoulder-up!
The fans are in a fever pitch, as Gates can’t believe Blade kicked out yet again. Not sure what else he has to do to make sure Blade stays down, Gates tries to stand Blade back up and gets him up to one knee before running to the other side of the ring. The champion runs forward and drops Blade with a shining wizard. Gates doesn’t waste time with a pin attempt thinking he’s not quite drained Blade of enough energy to keep him down just yet. Blade is back up as Gates meets him with a few kicks to the shin. The referee is directly behind Blade as Gates continues his onslaught with Blade doing everything possible to avoid the blows. Blade drops to his rear end and grabs Gates by the tights sending him over the top and crashing in to the corner making a sandwich out of the referee. All three men drop to the mat as the referee tries to shake out some of the cobwebs. Blade is up and reaches in to his tights to pull out a pair of brass knuckles and wraps them around his fist. He helps Gates up and shoves him deep in the corner preparing to knock him out cold. Blade wrenches back and goes to drive the illegal object in to the temple of Gates but Gates ducks at the very last second. The champion dips underneath his opponent and slams him headfirst in to the turnbuckle as the crowd chants along while Gates drives Blade forehead in several more times: “1, 2, 3, 4, 5.” The pair of brass knuckles fall of Blade’s hand while Gates sees it and sweeps it out of the ring with his foot.
Harvey: What a classy gesture by Gates to get rid of the threat of a weapon in the ring. He wants to win this match fair and square!
Chase: For crying out loud, Darren. He had the chance to take advantage of a hairy situation and he chose the idiot path!
Gates drops Blade with a swinging neckbreaker and signals to the fans as Blade is laid out directly in front of the ropes. He climbs to the top of the ropes and comes leaping off the top turnbuckle with The Gatecrasher (Corkscrew Somersault into Senton Bomb) and drags the referee over to the middle of the ring and trying to breathe some new life in to him. Gates covers:
1 . . 2 . . 3!
Paige: Your winner via pinfall, C.J. Gates! Harvey: What an impressive victory for the Undisputed Champion here tonight despite all the tomfoolery that went on during the match! Chase: Quit calling him the Undisputed Champion… he doesn’t have the belt!
Showing the effects of a grueling match, Gates leans against the turnbuckle as he leans over to the outside and stretches out his arm to grab a microphone. He pulls it up to his face: Gates: You think I’m not privy to your plans, Rebel? You thought that having Blade occupy my attention would distract me from watching you walk out of here with my championship belt but guess what? Stealing the championship belt doesn’t make you any more of a champion. A true champion takes care of his business inside the ring! However, I wouldn’t have expected any different from you. You’re pathetic and I’m coming to get my belt back, don’t you worry!
“Shooting Star” by Black Stone Cherry blares over the loudspeakers as Gates reaches out to shake the hand of announcer Darren Harvey before leaving the ringside area. Harvey: Another great night of action here on APW Overdrive! We’ll see you next week!
The APW Logo flashes on the screen as we go off the air
