This is just about the WWE, but is the standard slipping, back in 2002-2003 you got a stella match at least once a month, now its maybe once a year or two....

What happened to the good old days?

They left after Vince bought everything.

WWF/E really lost a lot of its entertainment value after that. Examples? Katie Vick, HLA, Three Minute Warning, Billy & Chuck's marriage, DDP stalking 'Taker's wife., etcetera, etcetera, leading up to Mayweather/Big Show. WWE is more of a gimmick now than anything; the wrestling has once again become secondary. They're so focused on crazy storylines, padding HHH's resume', and creating characters that they have completely forgotten the wrestling part.

They've done it before. Give 'em a year or two and the wrestling portion will be front and center again - guaranteed. It happened in the early 90's and the early 80's before that. It just seems to cycle that way when Vince gets too comfortable with things.

Shit won't change while people still pour money into it. Why stop pushing Cena when the guy is making boatloads of money in merchandising? Why bother putting effort into a Pay-Per-View when you're going to get 200,000 buys anyways?

People are dissatisfied, but stupid enough to keep giving Vince they're hard earned cash. Until they stop, the WWE won't have to bother changing their M.O.

Once TNA reaches WCW size ( in terms of revenue and threat level), WWE will have to put up a better game. While TNA does have the stories and not so much wrestling stuff, the contenders they have are fantastic athletes and show it off. Case and point, AJ styles.

Gotta agree. WWE is more a soap opera than ever. What you need is the Jerichos, Edges, Punks, etc to make those epic matches happen. The light weight but not light feather weights are where the big time matches happen cause they have the endurance to make them happen. I think back to Y2J vs HBK as one such example.

Ah but could TNA really get to a WCW size, remember WCW had Ted Turners Millions to buy the hottest talent at the time( Hogan, Hall, Nash, Savage etc..) and then just bash the WWE... ok they had the nWo but that was it.....

TNA need's IMO investment to get to WCW size...then they gotter book it properly

I think the idea that TNA is more storylines then wrestling is bullshit...

The hottest talent in wrestling is over there... guys like Kurt Angle, A.J. Styles, Awesome Kong, Sting, Christian Cage, The Dudleys, Chris Sabin, Shark Boy, Eric Young, Curry Man, Booker T, Samoa Joe, Kevin Nash, Matt Morgan... and apparently a soon to be returning Jeff Jarrett.

Impact is infinitely more entertaining the RAW these days...
