★ SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT ★

In a few days RassleMania VIII would be coming to APW fans live from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. As expected fans were pumped for it and they couldn’t wait to see APW’s biggest event of the year. After all some of the greatest matches in the company’s history were bound to take place. However before the big event could actually take place, like most wrestling promotions APW happened to be running their last official press conference before the show here today. It was the last chance for APW to get the fans to tune in and sell out the arena.

Over the last hour the fans that were piled into the building had gotten a chance to hear from their favorite superstars. However at this current moment their moods were about to be ruined as they would be hearing from someone that they didn’t seem to care too much for – or at least at this current time they didn’t really care for them.

That person happened to be none other than Michael Harris. He just happened to be standing there at the podium in nothing more than a KISS t-shirt, faded designer jeans, and converse sneakers. Not to mention he happened to have on his trademark sunglasses. Harris was certainly breaking dress code compared to everyone else. As the crowd booed him heavily showing interest in the fact that none of them wanted to hear from him. Harris began speaking out loud catching their attention.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“In a few days’ time I’ll be competing on the biggest event of the year for APW. Of course I am talking about RassleMania VIII. I came into this company roughly two months ago and I already have a championship match on the big stage. That right there proves a lot about me. From day one, I told people that I was here to prove that I was just as good as I ever were. I told people that I came here to prove that I truly am a legend in this business. I told people that I came here to be simply the best and that no one as well as nothing would stand in my way of being just that. Sure enough, I have proven just that and at RassleMania I take another step forward in being everything I said I would be.”

Harris took the moment to pause as the crowd’s reaction didn’t change. In fact theirs boos were starting to get a little louder but it wasn’t something that Harris would pay attention too. He believed he was the best at what he did and there wasn’t a person that could change his opinion. He didn’t care if the crowd cheered him or booed him, he would do what he needed to do for him and that’s all there was to it.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Here I stand before you people with a four and one record. That’s right I have been here two months I have only lost once – and mind you that loss was due to someone being a coward. At RassleMania, I have the perfect chance to extend that record to five and one, but this match actually means a lot more than just getting a win. As I said I am in a championship match and the championship that I happen to be making my very own in a couple days is none other than the Xtreme Championship. Yes, the very championship that is around the waste of the one and only John Dionysus. A championship that he is going to be looking forward to keeping and the very championship that he has used to define his career thus far. However as near and dear Dionysus holds that championship to his fault. It isn’t going to be enough to stop me from ripping it out of his clutches.”

He gave this arrogant little smirk which caused the crowd to boo more. As talented as Harris and as much as he had proven over the years he was a legend. It didn’t change the fact that fans didn’t want him to win, at least this time around. Reason being they didn’t approve of anything that Harris had done or said the last few weeks. Not to mention they seemed to be Dionysus fans, but sadly for them they didn’t have a say so in what happened this coming Sunday.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“I am not going to go over the entire story, but you people have seen what has happened the last several weeks on Overdrive. Week after week I have laid Dionysus out in the middle of the ring. I have done some serious damage to the man’s ribs. I even heard a rumor that they might be broken. I personally made sure that Dionysus didn’t enter this match on Sunday at a hundred percent. Now I know what most of you marks are thinking. You think that I did that to be sure that he wouldn’t be able to put up a fight at RassleMania. That isn’t in the least bit true. I did what I did to drive my point home to Dionysus. I wanted him to understand just exactly how serious I am about this. I wanted him to understand that I was a threat to him. I wanted him to understand that I was going to be taking his championship rather he wanted it to happen or not. Granted it left him less than a hundred percent but you know what? That isn’t really my fault. Instead it’s Dionysus’s and it proves just how weak he is.”

That got under the crowd’s skin a little bit. They didn’t approve of him calling Dionysus weak and didn’t approve of him trying to make his actions seem like they were normal. In their opinion he was wrong and that’s all there was to it. However as usual Harris was going to believe what he wanted to believe and everything that came out of his mouth was the in all be all for him. That’s the way it had always been and it wouldn’t be changing anytime soon.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“I stick true to my word when I said that Dionysus had no idea what holding that championship truly meant and so far I have proven that. Being the Xtreme Champion means you’ll put yourself through anything and everything just to represent that championship. Being the Xtreme Champion means you are willing to go to any lengths to keep that championship. Being the Xtreme Champion means that you are the toughest and roughest son of a bitch walking in a company. I know all about championships like that. I was a hardcore wrestler back when I started. I was all about going to the extreme. I know what it’s like to throw myself into situations where I have to fight with literally everything I have in me to survive. I’ve got scars on my body from some of the most brutal, hardcore, and extreme matches. I have had stitches, black eyes, broken ribs, torn ligments, and so forth from these type of matches but I never let it enable me from being on top. I never let it take me out of the business I love. I set out to prove I was one of the best hardcore and one of the best extreme wrestlers to ever enter this business. Within time that goal became true. I went on to do bigger and better things in my career. But it doesn’t mean I forgot where I came from and it doesn’t mean I forgot about my roots. I haven’t and I keep close tabs on that kind of style. With that being said, I seen what Dionysus was doing and he wasn’t living up to the standards of that type of wrestling. He wasn’t taking advantage of the things he should have. He wasn’t putting himself through the ringer like a true hardcore wrestler and like a true champion of that nature would. I felt disrespected and that’s when I had to get involved which is what has lead us to this match at RassleMania.”

It was well documented that Harris didn’t appreciate being disrespected and every single time he was disrespected. He made sure that he got revenge. He made sure that he made it known to never disrespect him and he made sure to put the person disrespecting him in their place. This was one of those things though where not too many people really saw it as disrespect and thought he was wrong in general when it came to this Dionysus thing, but obviously as always it didn’t matter what people thought. That’s when Harris looked out at the disapproving crowd and began speaking for his final time of the press conference.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“John, you can hate me all you want. You can despise me all you want. None of that bothers me, and you see I had a plan all along. That plan is more than me taking that championship. The plan is to see just exactly what you are all about. Are you going to be a pansy and cry about what I did the last couple weeks? Are you just going to roll over and let me take that championship of yours, or are you going to do something about it? Are you going to shut your mouth and actually fight? Are you willing to go the distance? Are you going to prove just what kind of man you are? I guess I’ll find out at RassleMania, but you can bet your ass. You’re going to get everything I got and you are going to find out just what I’m all about. If you don’t bring it then you’ll be made to look like an idiot and I’ll be leaving with your championship. It’s just that simple.”

On that note Harris turned his back on the crowd and walked away from the podium. The boos were so loud in the building at that point it was damn near impossible to hear yourself think. Harris just walked over to his seat smirking from ear to ear. In his opinion he had done his job just right and rather people would talking negatively or positively, all that matter was they were talking about him. Not to mention he knew that people were going to be watching this match because of his words. Rather it was because they wanted him to lose or not was irrelevant. It was going to be the match that overshadowed the main events and that’s what he wanted. However there was still time to see how it was all going to end and Harris couldn’t wait for the date to finally arrive.

★ PAST, PRESENT, & FUTURE ★

In twenty four hours APW would be hosting RassleMania VIII. It was the biggest pay per view event of the year and rightfully so. The card was stacked from top to bottom and it was being called the best RassleMania in history. There were several people on the card that had competed at the event before and knew what to expect with everything that associated with RassleMania. However there are a few people that will be debuting at the big event this year and one of those stars happens to be Michael Harris. A man that is known as a legend in this business. Big matches aren’t nothing to sweat for him, but it is still his first RassleMania for APW. No doubt the guy is going to want it to be one of the best matches of his entire career. With a few days before the big event, Harris wanted a chance to get his last thoughts off his chest. Hence the reason he had another video recorded for all the APW fans to get a chance to see just the night before the big event.

As the cameras opened up the first thing shown was Michael Harris sitting there on the top rope inside the ring. The very ring that he would be competing in tomorrow night at RassleMania. For several moments, he just sat there looking up at the sky without a single word coming out of his mouth. Then all of the sudden without even so much as looking at the cameras, Harris began speaking out loud and knowing that people would be paying attention to everything that came out of his mouth.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Right here tonight RassleMania VIII will be taking place. It’ll my first time competing at RassleMania while working for APW. From what I am hearing on the dirt sheets and from what I am hearing in the back. People are looking forward to me ‘proving’ to the all of APW that I really deserved the spot I got on the card. People are looking forward to me ‘proving’ that I am everything that I have been saying that I am. People are looking forward to me ‘proving’ what kind of superstar I am. People are looking forward to me ‘proving’ that I deserve to be in the same ring as the Xtreme Champion: John Dionysus. And people are looking forward to me ‘proving’ as well as ‘seeing’ what I can do under the bright lights… After hearing all of this, I can truly sit here and tell you people it makes me sick to my stomach!”

Harris just shook his head for a moment or two before finally hopping down off the top turnbuckle. His eyes had found their way over towards the cameras at this point. From the look on his face people could see just how disgusted Harris was over the situation. At this point people could already tell what this video was going to be like and that meant there were going to be a lot of unhappy people but clearly it wasn’t something that Harris would care about.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“It makes me sick to my stomach because it appears that everyone is forgetting about what I have done in the past. It makes me sick to my stomach because people are expecting me to prove something after I have been proving myself the last eleven years. It makes me sick to my stomach that people are basically implying that I don’t deserve to spot that I have on the card thus the reason they want to see me prove myself. Most of all though, it makes me sick to my stomach that people actually think I have to prove myself when it comes to being in the ring with someone like Dionysus. Are you serious right now? My name is known internationally but the same can’t be said for Dionysus. People outside this company know who I am and what I have accomplished, again that can’t be said for Dionysus. Yet I am the one that needs to prove to the world that I actually deserve to be in the ring with him? You people are out of your goddamn minds.”

Once again Harris stood there in silence shaking his head a little bit. It becoming more and more clear just how far this had gone and it was clear just how much it irritated him. Though seeing as Harris was a very smart man. He had quite the plan to turn the favor in his odds and he had quite the plan to prove Dionysus wrong as well as others wrong. This was something that people wouldn’t be able to deny no matter how hard they tried.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Sadly though, I know that Dionysus is hearing the same things I am hearing and I have a gut feeling he is loving every single minute of it. Reason being is because he is the favorite in this situation and it seemingly puts all the odds in his favor. However what Dionysus doesn’t realize is I work best with the odds stacked against me and when I am determined to do something. There’s nothing that can stop me. It doesn’t matter what the situation is or anything like that. In the end I always prevail and this time will be no different but before I really get into that. I wanted to take the time to show Dionysus just how good I am. I wanted to Dionysus to see how talented I am and what he is up against. I wanted him to see what it was like to be known all around the world and I wanted him to see what it was like to be a legend and have everyone talking about you. Now with that being said, I decided to get in contact with some of my old friends and former colleagues. I asked one simple question and then I got their answer. That question just happened to be is, what is it that you think when you hear the name Michael Harris? Well allow me to point your attention in the direction of the titantron for person number one.”

Harris pointed over to the titantron that will be used tomorrow night’s RassleMania event. It flicked on and right away there was a well-known face shown for the video that was about to play. That well-known face just happened to be legendary wrestling Icon, Harris’s best friend, and former tag team partner: Phoenix Winterborn. At that moment, the video began to play with Phoenix giving his honest opinion on the question that asked out of him.

PHOENIX WINTERBORN
“ Michael Harris, huh? Well, honestly, that's a name I haven't heard in a while. Last I knew, he was in "retirement" up in Chicago. Don't really get a chance to talk to him a lot now that I'm on the road with SKCW, but yeah...wait, he's come out of retirement? Ha, I knew he couldn't stay gone. Mike is one of those guys that's always going to be around wrestling in some capacity. He may be an ass more often than not, but no one can question the passion he has for the business. Maybe he's got it to a fault. Personal opinion? Wrestling is gonna be the death of him, but at least he'll die happy. What comes to mind when I hear the name Michael Harris? Simply? Intensity. That man goes harder than anyone else I know in wrestling today, hands down. If you step in the ring with him, you had better prepare yourself for war. Trust me, that's personal experience talking. I've got scars from matches him and I have had. But, he's also one of the best workers around. Overall? Yeah, he's a complete asshole, and had we not grown up in the business together, I probably wouldn't have given two shits about him, but since I did? There's no one better to be in the ring with.”

As the video came to an end, Harris turned his attention back to the cameras with this cheeky little grin on his face. From that facial expression he seemed rather pleased with the video and the comments from his long-time friend. That’s when Harris began speaking up and giving his opinions on the matter himself.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Ah nothing like taking a trip down memory lane if I do say so myself. Phoenix Winterborn happens to be another respected man in this business and despite having different views as well as different attitudes. We are the best of friends. You heard it straight from his mouth though Dionysus. I am one of the best, if not the best wrestler in this business. I might be an asshole but I back it up. I go hard every single time I step into the ring. If the fact I have laid you out every single time we have been in the ring with each other hasn’t sunk into that thick skill of yours and delivered a message about how good I can be. Then let that man’s words be a lesson to you. Let them sink into that head of yours. Forget about what you have heard from people that don’t know what they are talking about and forget about what people are saying just to cause a stir. Listen to someone that actually knows what they are talking about… Now with that being said I can tell that isn’t going to be good enough for you and you are going to say that my best friend is biased. Of course anything and everything that will make yourself look good. That is the very reason I came prepared so let’s put our attention right back to the titantron for video number two shall we?”

His attention right back to the titantron as it lit up again for the second video of the night. Once the video started off there was one of Harris’s friends and someone that he had helped a lot on a professional level. It was none other than Jeanette Salazar. She had a smile on her face and began to answer the question she had been asked about her dear friend.

JEANETTE SALAZAR
“Michael Harris, I know he’ll kill me for this but the guy is a total sweetheart. He is a guy that I consider one of my best friends and some kind of weird way. He’s like a father to me. He’s taught me a lot about this business and has always had my back whenever I needed it. He is a man that I respect with all my heart and that will never change. Now as I am sure a lot of people will go on to tell you. Michael Harris the man and Michael Harris the wrestler are two different people. Once he steps through those ropes it is all business. He aims to be the best and nothing less than just that. It’s the reason that he is a former twenty one time Heavyweight Champion. In this world there are people that are just born and destined to do something. Harris was born and destined to be the best wrestler of this generation, just like he was born and destined to be a true champion in this business. At APW’s RassleMania, I see him becoming champion again and proving just exactly why he is the best to ever exist. ”

As the video came to an end, the cameras went right back towards Harris. He was nodding his head in approval of the video as he slowly turned around to put his attention back to the cameras. So far he was being made to look like a saint and many people could argue against the fact but Harris wasn’t going to let it be an issue for him in the least bit. He would ignore it and do what he felt he needed to do on the matter.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Despite her lies about me being a total sweetheart, she couldn’t have spoken truer words. I am in fact born to be the best wrestler of this generation. I am destined to be a champion. Wrestling is all I’ve ever known and wrestling is all I ever wanted to be a part of. That is one of the many things that separates us from one another. You aren’t destined to be the best in this business. You weren’t born to be a true champion of this business. I can tell every single time I look in your eyes. You are doing this to simply get by in life. You are doing this because it pays the bills and because it puts food on the table. You are doing this because of the fame and fortune, but I am not going to allow it anymore. I won’t let little bastards like you taint the business that I love and that I have spent the last eleven years transforming. Once we’re in the ring together Dionysus, I am going to show you what wrestling is and what a champion is. Maybe just maybe then you’ll understand the true importance of this business and understand that this is a place for men who love the business, not for little boys to just play pretend. But just because I know it isn’t sinking in yet and just because I know you are going to use the argument that the two previous people that were talking like me. Here’s another video from someone of my past and this person hates me with a passion. Roll the footage.”

Once again the attention right back over to the titantron. This time when the video came on the titantron there was a man about the same age as Harris, maybe a little older. But he was sitting there in a chair with a fitted cap turned backwards and rocking a Arizona Cardinals jersey. Once the video began playing, and the tone for the thing began to take over.

DERERK MANNING[/color]
“Ha, what do I think when I hear the name Michael Harris? I instantly think about the time I beat him within an inch of your life inside an electric steel cage. I also think about the other battles that we’ve had with each other over the years. It’s quite clear that Harris and I have a hatred for each other. A hatred that will never go away and I am sure that’s something the both of us are okay with. However as much as he hates me and as much as I hate him, I can admit the guy is one tough son of a bitch. In the times we’ve been in the ring with each other. I gave him everything I had. There were times I had him lying on the mat bloody as hell and barely clinging to life, but he wouldn’t stay down. I might have defeated him but it was never enough to keep him down. He always came back wanting more and he always came back aiming to mess me up worst that he did before or worse than I had done him. Basically, what I am saying is. Harris might be someone you can beat but he is hella tough and he is going to prove it when he gets in the ring at RassleMania. Granted, I don’t see him leaving champion but I do see him outshining every single person on the card when it comes to being rough and tough.”

That’s when the video came to an end. Those fans that would end up seeing this video online would most likely be torn in half. A lot of them would side with Manning simply because Harris had it coming and had been acting the way he had been lately. However at the same time a lot of them wouldn’t approve because despite Harris’s actions. He was still their favorite wrestler and they didn’t really care for Manning, not even when he was actually a big deal to this business which hadn’t been in years. On that note Harris’s attention went right back over to the cameras and began speaking to the cameras once again calling out his opponent for RassleMania.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Of course Manning is wrong with a couple different things, and he seems a little bitter after all these years. I can’t say that I blame him with all the times I have made him look like a tool. None the less though Dionysus there were some was something to take out of his message and that something just happened to be the truest thing that came out of his mouth in all the years, I’ve known him. The statement I am talking about is when he called me one of the toughest son of a bitches he has ever been in the ring with an the fact I will not ever back down. Any time you knock me down and I get right back up and make sure I knock you back down to the point you can’t get up. You have been lucky this far though Dionysus. I haven’t knocked you down to the point you couldn’t get back up. I’ve knocked you down and I’ve made my mark, but I made sure that you made it to RassleMania. However tomorrow night it is going to be a different ball game. I am literally going to give you everything I got just like I promised. I am going to knock you down and personally see to it that you do not get back up. You don’t have to believe me, but soon enough you’ll have to face the reality and that’s when you are going to certainly wished that you had listened to me. Guess sometimes that’s how your kind learns.”

He just chuckled a little bit being the smartass that he was known for being. Harris had this feeling that so far his words were going to start getting under the skin of his opponent and that’s exactly what he wanted. Harris was the master of head games and so far he was playing the game well but it was time for him to push it just a little further.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Now Dionysus, trust me I know you better than you think I do. After seeing those testaments of people from my past. After listening to them tell the truth and after realizing you had a point. You aren’t going to like it and that’s when you are going to go low with things. You’ll run your mouth about how it doesn’t matter because it’s the past. But seeing as I knew that was the route you wanted to go. Seeing as I knew you’d hold on to anything that you could, I took it upon myself to ask the same question to several members of the APW Roster. And you know who I started with? I went to the top and started with the President himself. Let’s see what he had to say about me shall we?”

As expected the attention was turned towards the titantron much like it had been several times before. This time it would be a little more interesting to the people that really kept up on APW seeing as the majority of them just cared about the present and not anyone’s past. That’s when the titantron came on and began playing the video featuring the one and only President Jeff.

PRESIDENT JEFF
“When you watch Michael Harris in the ring, love him or hate him, you can tell that one day, he could be something big in APW. When, that will be up to him, It may happen at RassleMania if he can win the Xtreme Title, maybe he'll be the next Sally Talfourd or the next CJ Gates by winning the Test for the Best tournament later this year. Whichever path Michael decides to take, he will be successful in APW.”

It was a short video but it was straight to the point. It got the job done and delivered a very strong message. Harris turned right back towards the camera and that smirk of his was seemingly getting bigger and bigger as the time went on. It just showed what kind of ego the man had and just how truly confident he was within himself. That’s when Harris started to speak once again this time driving a few more points home to John Dionysus.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Well would you look at that Dionysus? The very man that saved you the embarrassment of losing your championship at the last Overdrive and the very man that made this match official at RassleMania happens to think very highly of me. I am sure that’s got to hurt you. I am sure that it’s a shot below the belt isn’t it? I am sure you are a little upset that you’ve been here longer than I have and you’ve never gotten that kind of praise, but you know what kid? It is something that you have to deal with. That’s the kind of thing that happens when you are a big name like myself. That’s the kind of thing that happens when you are on a legendary status that I am on. Not just that though, like the man said. No matter route that I take I am going to be successful around here and there isn’t a damn thing you can do about it. Hell, he even hit the nail on the head when he said it very well could begin at RassleMania. Oh it will begin at RassleMania and I am going to love every minute of it. Only thing he got wrong was saying I could be the next CJ or Sally, nah son. I am an original and that’s going to show soon enough. But you know Dionysus? Just in case that wasn’t good enough and seeing as Sally Talfourd was mentioned. Let’s see what her thoughts are when it pertains to me.”

Harris turned his back on the cameras much like he had the majority of the evening when it came to this videos. Sure enough the titantron lit up once again and began playing the video featuring one of the biggest names in APW history. People were going to really want to hear what Sally said since she was such a big name and was respected by the majority of fans. As the video went on this is exactly what she had to say.

SALLY TALFOURD
“Michael Harris? The Michael Harris who joined APW just, you know, the other week? I suppose he's alright. I mean, he comes highly recommended. He's got a few belts under his ... uhhh ... belt. And yeah, he's been successful elsewhere. But it's always good to see some new folks come in and test themselves in APW. Because here, we've got the best. I like that Michael has the guts to come here, rather than anywhere else. That, alone, shows me that he's a guy who wants to get to the top. I know I'm keeping an eye on him, so I imagine a few others are. So what do I think about Michael Harris? I think we'll be hearing a lot more of that name.”

The titantron faded out to black putting an end to that specific video. Once again Harris turned around to face the cameras as he nodded his head a little bit. For a moment or two he didn’t really say anything and the reason being he wanted those words of such a big name around APW to sink into the minds of all the fans that would end up watching this but more specifically. Soon enough though, Harris looked back up at the cameras as it seemed he had finally found the right words to use.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“You damn right you are going to be hearing my name a lot around here and it is a name that won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. But you know Dionysus when I watch that video, I can’t help but wonder how it makes you feel. Does it bother you that an Icon like that in APW knows who I am before she knows who you are? Does it bother you knowing that Sally actually gives a damn about who Michael Harris is and couldn’t care two shits less about who you are? Does it bother you knowing that we are going into this match and now that momentum is starting to shift? Instead of you listening to people that don’t know what they are talking about. You are forced to listen to people that actually do know what they are talking about. You are forced to realize that your peers couldn’t care less if you lived or died in a sense. You are forced to realize that everything you are hoping for at RassleMania is slowly but surely slipping away. Most importantly, you are starting to realize that you are no longer the present here in APW but I am the present. I am taking your spot and there isn’t a whole lot you can do about it. But you know what Dionysus? Just in case you aren’t completely convinced. I am just one more video for you to watch. This video just happens to come from one of the biggest names here and one of the top guys as well. I am sure you will be interested in seeing this.”

The cameras went right over to the titantron much like Harris’s attention had gone to it as well. As it came on the first thing that was seen in the video was Jason Kash standing there with the APW World Heavyweight Championship. It wasn’t very long at all until Kash started speaking and giving a very short but opinionated answer to the question all the other has been asked.

JASON KASH
“Michael Harris? Yeah I've heard of him. He's won like 2o some odd World Titles, the guy is under the radar since coming to APW but that's because of ego like Kurt Noble and Keaton Saint demanding the spotlight. I've seen a few matches, he's been around the block a few times and knows what he's doing in the ring. To say he's the best to ever exist like one of his name nicknames details? That’s when the video came to an end and Harris turned right back to the cameras to face them. Harris was standing there clapping his hands together seemingly like he was impressed by Kash’s words or at least it appeared to be that way. After a few moments of clapping Harris had paused and looked dead at the cameras to begin giving his opinion on the words that were shared about him.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Ah truer words have never been spoken. Kash is a hundred percent right. 2012 will be the year of Michael Harris and it all begins at RassleMania. It all begins with the Xtreme Championship. It all begins with you Dionysus. The way I define my career here in APW is because of you. What I go on to do here in APW from this point on will be because of you. The main event matches I’ll go on to have from this point on will be because of you. The championships I go on to win from this point forward will be because of you and the day I get inducted into the APW Hall of Fame will be because of you. Basically, what I am saying is I will become the future of APW. All that and more will happen when I pin your shoulders down to the match tomorrow night to become the new APW Xtreme Champion. Though, I take much more than just your title. I take much more than your career. I take your lively hood. I will make you a complete and utter afterthought here in APW. That’s just how good I am and how good I’ll continue to be.”

Harris flashed that arrogant smirk of his at the cameras letting those words sink in. By now it was almost certain that Dionysus was going to enter this match with one thing and one thing in mind. That was proving Harris wrong and putting him in his place. However because that was likely to happen that would mean Harris had gotten inside the mind of Dionysus which would make things that much easier for the Untouchable One and could set himself up for an easy win. At this point though, there was just one last thing he wanted to get off his chest. Harris looked right at the cameras and began speaking.

MICHAEL [ THE UNTOUCHABLE ONE ] HARRIS
“Dionysus, it’s been fun exposing you. It’s been fun tearing you down. It’s been fun proving to you that I am the past, the present, and the future of this business. Now I am done talking and I am done wasting my breathe. It all comes down to this match between us tomorrow night and it will go the way that I say it goes. Why? Well you should know the answer by now, but just in case you’ve forgotten. It is simply because I am better than you!”

That’s when Harris smacked the camera with his right hand and managed to knock it right on out of the camera man’s hands. It hit the ring mat with a huge thud as the cameras picked up on Harris walked over to the ring ropes and getting out of the ring. He walked up the ramp with the empty arena behind him. He had done his job tonight and it all came down to the match tomorrow night. It was going to be go big or go home for the self-proclaimed best to ever exist. That’s when the cameras faded out to black putting an end to this very promo.

RassleMania VIII was bound to be a great event, but now this event very well could defined the rest of Michael Harris’s career throughout APW. After all the trash he had talked and after everything he had pulled. If he didn’t leave tomorrow night with the Xtreme Championship around his waist he was going to be forever looked at as a joke and that’s the last thing he was. That’s the last thing he was going to allow himself to be. One way or another, Harris was going to topple Dionysus. One way or another he was going to leave with the Xtreme Championship, and one way or another Harris was going to forever leave his mark on APW! That was simply the facts and nothing could ever be changed about them.
