Who to you are the Best 4 Guys to never (Current/Past) have held a BIG World Champion? This includes WWE, WCW, ECW, NWA, TNA because those are the big, BIG companies not from Japan and some might argue their being involved with this discussion. If you think of a Japanese Wrestler that belongs than post him, fuck it.
I'll go first...
(In Order) Curt Hennig Ted DiBiase Jake Roberts Scott Hall
To me, these guys either taught how to be the very best Heel or a Great Wrestler. Some just had all the tools but this is a huge list of probably some of the best the business has ever seen. I hated DiBiase, I felt a real passion hating him as a kid. I cried, threw toys and hoped Dusty Rhodes would do bad things to him. Haha..

Roddy Piper deserves to be on the far more than the likes of Lance Storm. So too Rick Rude. Just being a good wrestler isn't enough to be considered a top wrestler in the wrestling business that we are all fans of. Otherwise, gosh, there wouldn't be much by the way of the WWE/TNA rosters or champions!
Piper and Rude were really entertaining, plus they could wrestle. It's a shame that neither of them managed to get championship runs. But, by the same token, maybe that's what makes them great?

Arn Anderson Scott Hall Ted DiBiase Rick Rude
I think Anderson probably could have been the choice to help carry the WCW in to the "new" generation in the late 90's, early 90's. He would have been a terrific feud partner with Ron Simmons and Sting both but got shackled in teams/stables that never really took advantage of him as a threat. Having Flair overshadow him for all those years probably didn't help either. He could really go, was a great talker but didn't have the look.
Scott Hall had everything going for him: he was a dominate presence in the ring, could work the mic but he was undependable.
Ted DiBiase was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hogan was already tapped to be the megastar and wasn't going to lose the title to just anyone. If Hogan wasn't around in the late 80's then I think Ted would have been one of the guys to really carry the WWF onward.
I had a hard time with my last spot, considering guys like Dean Malenko, Roddy Piper, Dustin Rhodes/Goldust and Mr. Perfect. But Rude had all the charisma in the world and I think fans loved to hate him, specifically men. He was John Cena before Cena was John Cena. I think he went the path of Scott Hall and wasn't dependable enough to give a run and with his gimmick being so over-the-top, I'm not sure the WWF believed in him as a credible champion.

-Val Venis.
The man paid his dues and was a solid jobber that allegedly turned down many main event pushes in favour of pushing newer stars. Although he didn't achieve a great deal in the WWE, his gimmick was fresh and original for the time and he was pretty skilled in the ring. Definitely was a man who just didn't take the opportunities given to him.
-Monty Brown Though this man wasn't exactly the world's greatest worker in the ring, he had incredible charisma and an excellent gimmick (in TNA). Rumour has it that the reason he left wrestling was to take care of a housebound sick sister, which is a pretty epic thing to do really. He's some lad, and was definitely one of my favourites back during his feud with Christian Cage.
-Mr. Perfect Do I need to say anymore? He should've beaten Hogan on that fateful night. Ultimate Warrior blew ass and should not have been the one the torch was passed to.
-Shelton Benjamin Arguably the greatest acrobat and athlete in the whole world ever. While Shelton was el terriblé on the microphone, he was smoking aces when it came to his in-ring work and if he'd had a manager to do the speaking for him he would've been well on his way to the championship. He's some lad. I've got to respect him.

@jeff: Hahaha I sure did, wow!
@sally and Others: Rick Rude was the WCW International World Champion after he left WWE. SO That's why I didn't include him because he achieved that status in WCW to an extent. Which is also why I put Storm on there and not Rude or Piper. To me Piper had one, two "Epic" matches in his career. One being Mania, the other being his Dog Collar Match with Valentine before WWE. So I wouldn't put him on my Top "4" haha
Rude was due to win the NWA Heavyweight from Flair but WCW pulled out of NWA so they made a International World Title and Rude was a 3x Champion. Still a WCW World Title but I guess it's opinion on if that counts.

Owen Hart - In my opinion he was one of the greatest performers ever. He would have made one of the greatest cowardly heel champions ever. He struck the perfect balance of being arrogant and obnoxious. He would have been a great heel champion in the extremely dry 1995 Diesel era. Diesel's reign lasted to long and was very dull. Owen could have provided a nice break during that time.
Mr. Perfect - Vince McMahon's obsession with big jacked steroid up guys at the time robbed one of the best in ring performers, and one of the best talkers in the business. In 89, 90 people had grown tired of Hogan's reign. It would have been the Perfect (pun intended) time to give him a run. Or he could have taken the title off of Warrior before Wrestlemania 7 and save us all from the Sgt. Slaughter Iraq silliness, and the worst Wrestlemania main event in history between Slaughter and Hogan.
Scott Hall - With or without personal problems this guy was pure gold. His run in late 1998 as the Lone Wolf when he was rejected by both NWO factions was amazing and could have led to a great run as World Champion. He would have been a much better choice to take the title off of Goldberg than Kevin Nash. He was not the greatest technician, but he knew how to put on a show. In my opinion he was probably THE best talker of the 90's.
Jake Roberts - If there was a better talker throughout the 80's and early 90's I certainly didn't see it. He was great as a face, but the heel Jake Roberts in 91/92 was unbelievable. He probably would have been Champ in WWF, but he chose to leave. He was robbed in WCW by Bill Watts. Watts came in after Jake had agreed on a contract, but before the contract was signed. Jake was going to be a huge main eventer there, but Watts hated him and screwed him over. Shame to, because Jake would have made the early 90's WCW much more tolerable.

Oh, I thought we were talking about world titles that actually meant something, not a strap that existed for a whole of a year all because of the legal shmozzle that was going on backstage.

I'd be the first to add Rick Rude, HELLO I use a form of the Neckbreaker as my finisher! I didn't know who'd argue that he'd been a World Champion of WCW so he wasn't added. Rick Rude is very deserving of this list and most Top Name Lists. Piper though? Not so much..

i agree with jake roberts. he was WAY ahead of his time. i just wish he was given that chance but wasnt cuz of the whole hogan/warrior deal. he said it best, "my job is to get people ready for hogan." and when they were chanting DDT when him and hogan were feuding, then it was more than obvious who deserved that spot.
