Checking on. But I need to ruin the party: Can someone answer these question for me about the 'No Lynch': 1) If a majority of people got vote n lynch, does that end the day and we go to night? 2) If someone has the most votes (but not enough for a lynch) and one person has voted for a no lynch, is that enough to stop the person with the most vets being killed at the end of the day? But let's say, within the next hour, 9 people vote 'No Lynch' - can TMarv call the end of the day and then we go to night or does it play out to the end of the 48 hours (or whatever it is)? Correct. The person with the most voted at the end of the day will be lynched. So If No Lynch is the 'person' with the most votes, we will still head to night phase but with no lynch occuring |

Think of "No Lynch" as a person. If a majority No Lynch is met... then the day ends and we go to night.
If no lynch is winning when the deadline hits... then the day ends and we go to night.

Think of "No Lynch" as a person. If a majority No Lynch is met... then the day ends and we go to night. If no lynch is winning when the deadline hits... then the day ends and we go to night. Hope that clears things up. Crystal clear; thanks TMarv! |

I want to hear what he has to say but it's very fishy the way he worded it. Bottom line, I smell a rat. Then your nose needs fixing. Scummers = anti-town - that, I would think, is obvious. EBWOP Let me just clarify that line, for the benefit of any pedants: "I would think it obvious that any use of the term 'scummers' encompasses all anti-town factions in the game." Thanks for the clarification but none of this means you automatically are town especially after seeing a sarcastic comment like that. I think I'm going to keep my vote on you. Call it a hunch. |

Aren't you pushing too hard for a day one lynch, James? I mean, sure we need to make a move to take out the scum and with a third faction the need to do something on day one is definitely present. However, pushing so hard when no real information can be ascertained just comes off scummy to me. So...

I know we have all the reasons to push for a lynch, but jumping on Farq for...what I would call miswordings or mis-phrasing or being sarcastic is...well stupid. This is day one, we won't have clues till day 2, and more than likely any guess or stab we take at getting a lynch will only cost us, though we could get lucky.

james has always been an aggressive player. it doesnt surprise me that he is pushing, especially since the last couple of games ended so ugly for the town.

Yes, but there is no reason for his vote...trying to instigate a lynch with out any information is exactly what the town DOESNT want to do at the start of the game. Throwing around accusations and hoping that something sticks is pointless. My vote will stand till we actually get some concrete evidence for or against Farq. being a scumbag.

Man, I really hoped that clarification of the vote didn't come to soon.
It looked like to me at least JamesV was pushing a vote in Farqs direction (based on nothing, lets be real) for a damn good reason. Not to even to really lynch him but to ultimately begin to push us all into voting SOMEONE - period.
There is no excuse for dropping votes two pages into a new game - especially with how the lynches were initially described. Essentially, if JamesV was to hold his vote on FARQ - we would have had choose to lynch Farq if we thought he was innocent or vote someone else who we thought was more guilty.
Of course this is just an observation on my part but day ones usually amount to red flagging at best anyways.

This from Knuckles gave me a vibe i would be very inclined to agree with u james but it could be that he included them as scum. anything not town ya no? BUT it does raise questions. lets see wat jules has to say for himself I may change my vote later, but Knuckles is giving me the vibe right now

Damn. The trivia was over even before I saw it. Knuckles totally won. You can't tell me otherwise.
As for Knuckles and Jeff...I am not terrifically keen on either of them at the moment, but no one is really giving me a tremendous vibe of definitely town or definitely scum. All I see is a lot of people playing more aggressively because lynches are much more likely, and then people getting a lot more defensive trying to save their skins, because any old vote can get someone killed this round.
I know I'm not voting No Lynch, but I am not confident enough in any person to throw down a vote on a person yet.

Okay, so, here's what I've got so far:
There's a division amongst everyone, even more so than in normal mafia games. There's individual people attacking other individuals, which isn't going to accomplish anything. Working together to find the scum is going to be the only way to win. We need to tread carefully, especially in the beginning.
Right now, we haven't even given a majority of the players a chance to even speak. I would wait until they post something more than "got my role" before I go spamming the votes.
With that being said, I'm definitely not going to no vote, because I still believe we have a chance to find the scum during day one, depending on how many there actually are teamed up with Dark Helmet, and how many are with Pizza the Hut II.

To Level One - The other option is that if we don't see a lynch worthy of going for, we vote no lynch and if enough no lynches are voted, the day ends in a no lynch.
As for what's been happening...it's hard for me to throw down a vote. I feel that Farq's words were taken the wrong way by James. All last game people were saying that we needed to find scummers...and maybe it's just me, but cult are not scummers, they are just anti-town. So it could be that people are labeling anti-town as scum in general.
With that said, what Nick did was really eye catching. I mean, sure, I defended Farq as well, but I at least didn't/don't sound like a bit of a hypocrite while doing so. Not only that, but as James points out, he made bit of a slip up, and is the main one I've got my eye on.
The Jeff/Knuckles thing just seems pointless. It seems kind of like one person throwing suspicion on someone else and riding it's waves. Knuckles always acts like that when he's got a vote on him, though, so who knows if that actually means anything.
I'm not voting yet. I'm going to let the current information stew and as we get closer to deadline, I'll throw out a vote.
