EBWOP Just a heads-up: If the rules on page one are accurate, it looks like we're looking at 4 p.m. today for the end of day two. Callahan, is this correct? Not entirely sure what time zone you're looking at but given that I started the Day Phase at 9PMGMT, I'll be finishing it in six hours and twenty minutes from now at 9PM tonight. I'm in Eastern time, so that sounds right. Thanks, you fantastic moderator, you!

So, our of curiosity, what changed in the 11 minutes between when you said you weren't going to vote AC Smith to when you voted for him? when i considered all that he's said to try to get me under the bus, i reckoned if i pressured him some, he'd probably react differently to a vote rather than a 'hey i still somewhat trust you' and his newest post shows him pointing the finger once more. also, the desperation of him trying to analyze all of which i've done since our tiff finally came to be me seeing him beyond overreacting. he's probably legit scum. "Gub: "A.C., I don't really think you're scum." Gub, 21 minutes later: "Vote: A.C. Smith." Hands down the scummiest post of this day phase, and adds more reason to why I, without hesitation, cast my vote and stand by it." HANDS DOWN THE SCUMMIEST! really? you know, the vote isn't permanent. i can unvote, you know. but really, this HANDS DOWN stuff is too lols to pass. you be breaking under pressure! except you're not loving you're a monster probs

Because it's my fault that I pointed out you flip-flopping over the course of 21 minutes, as opposed to it being your fault for actually DOING it. Yes, that makes complete and total sense. I bow to your superiority in this game. Despite you being redeemed partially for posting a link to an awesome song (see? I'm not THAT bad a person!), I stand by what I said earlier. Scummiest post of the day phase. And yes. HANDS DOWN.

Oh, right. Because it's my fault that I pointed out you flip-flopping over the course of 21 minutes, don't exaggerate. i was on course up until my final post (not flip-flopping) which saw me go against my 'word' and vote you. Lol as if me doing that somehow indicates i'm scum. i'm well-aware of my actions and i can see CJ's thought, but its not scummy :s i just came up with a new thought and in my eyes it's worked. on the other hand, you're coming at me hard, and that's more scummy than my little SWERVE. you're in a desperate zone. TALK ABOUT HARD TIMES, WOULD YA DUSTY

Welcome to Merry Ol' England, home of lots of cool stuff including the Tourist Trophy racing bikes. That's not what our Rashers are here for though as they merrily coif ale in their own little cliques, waiting for the first international race to begin. Sat at the bar together is Natasha and Lawson, two very different people who are very close despite this.
Natasha: Hey Lawson, another beer before the race?
Lawson: Nah, I'm too resposnible to drink drive. Tell you what. I'll buy you one and meet you outside with it. That good?
Natasha: Yeah cool, thanks man. I'll see ya' out in a minute.
Natasha skips her way out of the room as Lawson turns to order another beer for her.
Lawson: 'nother beer please me ol' china. No ice.
Lawson watches observantly as the bartender privvy to the entire conversation decides to serve the customer another beer. Typical irresponsible English. Lawson hands the change over and grabs the beer only to be intercepted by Officer Eiskopf who handcuffs himself to the lawyer.
Lawson: What the Hell are you doing?
Eiskopf: Oh, don't mind me Mr. Lawson. We're just preventing you from soliciting drunk driving... As well as of course catching up with you for countless street racing offences and some hundred thousand dollars made from the illegal earnings on the tracks. Such a shame that your legal career will be in tatters when the press get a whiff of this...
Lawson: What? No... I... What proof do you have?
Eiskopf: What proof do we need? Your bike is outside with your license details. We've got more security footage of you than we'd ever hope to need and of course you have the beer in your hand, indicative of you supplying your pretty friend when you know she's about to drive a motorcycle.
Lawson: You son of a bitch-...
Eiskopf: Now now Mr. Lawson, no need to thank me. The real work is about to begin. Once you go to jail for all your crimes no doubt your wife and children will leave you... You'll lose your home when your boss at the firm decides to take an eye to your beautiful lady and of course there's the man on man action that occurs in prisons. It's not just limited to Cinemax mein freunde...
Lawson: What's your point?
Eiskopf: My point is... There's a way out of this. We know that you've got a life that you can't afford to jeopardise. Sergio, Natasha, Ikira? All deadbeats. You on the other hand have a lot to live for...
Lawson: You want me to snitch?[/color]
Eiskopf: I want you to do the right thing to help preserve the life you have built for yourself... Join us and help us clean up the streets like you're meant to in your official life... And well, we can make this all go away. Understand mein liebe? Or do I have to get my truncheon out?
Lawson buckled. These guys were efficient and he knew in his heart of hearts that one way or another they were going to apprehend his fellow friends. If he could at least make out of it in one piece then maybe it'd be worth living with the guilt...
Lawson: … I understand.
Eiskopf: Excellent. Now get to racing. We don't want them suspicious.
Natasha peered back through the bar, her vision too hazy through all the smoke to see Lawson's predicament. Eiskopf quickly unclipped the handcuffs and vanished into thin air.
Natasha: Come on Lawson, hurry up!
-
Somewhere in the holding chambers of a castle deep in snowy, hillside Japan the enigmatic Madame X sits deep in prayer, her eyes closed over until suddenly they shoot open wide like a deer in the headlights.
Madame X: So it begins...
She swiftly stands from her kneeling position and unsheathes her nunchucks, sprinting out of the abyssal room without so much as another word.
-
Heavy English rain pounds on the tattered Isle of Man tarmac with the force of bricks as our rashers come to the final stretch of the track near some dangerous rock-face. Up in front is Lucky Luc, a sassy Frenchman who's getting in the way of Public Enemy No.1.'s attempts to climb out in front but it's not quite working.
The real struggle is between Biff and Nina, third and fourth place brawling fiercely as we come towards a tight hairpin near a dangerous section of rockface. Biff takes a swing with his billy club and clips Nina in the side but the tough Russian somehow manages to suck it up and not flip out. She attempts to reach for her Mace Spray to try and blind Biff and make him crash but the savvy racer sees it coming and uses his baton to smack it out of her hand. Nina then leans in real close on her bike, side to side so she can spit right in his eye.
Nina: FUCK OFF, MOODAK!
Now Biff, the rich son of a director is a patient guy at the best of times but he's not going to get spat at and take it lightly. Flying into a roaring rage of brattish fury he starts swinging at her with the billy club repeatedly as they come closer and closer towards that perilous corner. Swerving at the last second, Nina tries to take the inside loop behind Biff but he sees it coming and grinds to a halt so he can boot Nina right in the fuel tank.
The power of his kick sends Nina flying out of control and it's only as she smashes through the weak barrier that he realises what he's done. Nina's lucky in that below them the tide is in and there's nothing but ocean waiting for them to plunge into but that bike is definitely not coming back. If Nina somehow survived the eighty foot drop, she's not racing again anytime soon.
WRECKED: Gubayama, Nina, Town Crowd Follower & Double-Voter (unaffected by night changes)
BAR PHASE 3 BEGINS AT DER AUTOBAHN STOPPEN IN STUTTGART, GERMANY.
WITH 12 PLAYERS LEFT ALIVE, IT TAKES 7 TO SCORE A LYNCH.

Well, there goes Gumb... likely in an attempt to make AC Smith (or Slater, or whatever-his-name-is) look suspicious since the two of them were going at each others' throats. My finger of suspicion from yesterday remains, for now, until more information comes forward one way or the other.

Wait, so Mafia can recruit AND kill? In addition to a third party that can recruit (but didn't last night)? Boy, the deck's stacked against the town here.
I wish I had something to report, but I was roleblocked last night.

Well. thats awesome. If my guess at the splits was right, we're standing at 6 town/4 mafia/2 third party.
I'm guessing whoever is Biff had a 1-shot kill and used it on someone, but forgot about the fact that even bar phases (2,4,6...) everything has a chance of fucking up, which it looks like it did, hence why Mafia and Third party didn't try for a kill.
Something must have happened that activated a power Madame X had.
I think the worst part about this is, it seems that both anti-town factions can recruit which means, we're not going to be able to diddy daddle this day phase. The two people who are the biggest possibles for me right now are AC and Bacon as those two have been giving off scumy vibes all game to me at least.
There's gotta be some sort of info out there. AC got roleblock and unless theirs two in the game, someone else has to have some info.

WTF? We can look at this one of two ways...
Gub and Slater go at it, Gub dies. Slater wanted Gub dead, to keep us off his back.
OR
Gub and Slater go at it, Gub dies. Mafia sees this as an easy opportunity to get a town-lynch on Slater, and kill two birds with one stone.
I'm confused now. I think that mafia would be a bit more experienced than to try and pull something like that off, which makes me think Slater might not be one of them. HOWEVER, that might be exactly what he's looking for, could be reverse-psychology.

Two nights in and town are in desperate need to lynch a scum, we can bypass third party today but a scum would really do us good. However, I don't think Smith's being all that scummy, though that may be my inexperience showing here

I'm more inclined to go along with TJ's analysis that whoever Biff is killed Nina last night (rather than it being a mafia kill), although I'd add that maybe killing Gub wasn't the intention. Why? Well my action was completely reversed last night, so I'm guessing other, if not all, actions were similarly affected.

On thinking about this, could this be one of the powers used on a left-handed track? Instead of killing, they're able to recruit? Does this make sense?

Implying we aren't. Provided that powers are back to normal tonight, two townies are potentially gone (one from Mafia kill and one from 3rd Party recruitment) unless it can be predicted who they'll go for and they get protected. Otherwise we're pretty much up shit creek without a paddle if TJ's maths is correct.

I really don't know why people are sorta surprised that powers are being screwed with, I mean it's in the rules and if you look at Rebel's kill, it said what he was during Race 2, a voyeur.
Here's my thinking: We need to play a perfect game from here on in which includes lynching the right people and protecting the right person at the right time. I'm not trying make assumptions, but if your recruiting for your side, you want the best right? So what does that mean? the town's best players are being recruited away from us which means inexperienced players will be left on the town. Players like me, maniac, raab. Its honestly Survival of the fittest right meow
All that said, we need some more info. Jules how exactly did your power get fucked up? don't out yourself though, so if you can disclose what you did without doing, it would be very helpful to teh town.

All that said, we need some more info. Jules how exactly did your power get fucked up? don't out yourself though, so if you can disclose what you did without doing, it would be very helpful to teh town. Uh, it was reversed, like I said. Right now I'm saying no more than that because there isn't any need for me to do so (plus I'd need to clarify with Callahan what is kosher here). I'm not quite sure how I can say exactly how my role was affected without outing myself. If you're fishing here TJ, I'm afraid you've not caught a darn thing.

I'm not fishing for a role, although as soon as I posted it I knew that it seemed that way. I was really just trying to get more info because right now we have nothing to go on. I know we have a few more people to check in with anything but we really don't have anything and my power isn't exactly that great when there isn't any info to go on and even then, not exactly the greatest power period.
Maybe if I had asked if you had targeted someone but you go someone else instead it would have been better?

It sounds to me that tj is fishing for a role out of crown kinda like how blade was for his in the last game. I still think it's suspicious that A.C is safe after the back and forth with gub and now the next day TJ is trying to get people to role claim.
