I love how on the first day, Harvey is saying he's getting scum reads from the two most inexperienced guys, going off what they said in the sign up thread knowing damn well that they wouldn't be able to defend themselves aside from saying "I'm not scum". Not only a scum move but an asshole move. All the more reason to Lynch Branden

Night one of the Hunger Games see's many of the competitors spread out amongst the arena - several of them breaking off into small groups and factions to improve their odds of survival. Several of the competitors however are still going rogue including Katniss Everdeen. Alone, Katniss tries to avoid enemy detection but out of nowhere she's blind sided and tackled to the ground by Joannah Mason who had been stalking her.
Joannah Mason: Do you want to win this thing or what?
Katniss Everdeen struggles underneath the stronger and more physically dominate Joannah Mason who pulls out a knife and shoves it into Katniss Everdeen's arm causing her to scream out in pain. Joannah Mason digs the knife in deep before sticking her fingers into her arm and ripping out a tracking device right out of Katniss's flesh. Joannah looks up at one of the cameras and holds the tracking device to send a message to the game maker and capitol.
Joannah Mason: I really hope I didn't break one of your precious rules, did I?
Joannah Mason then launches Katniss's Everdeen's tracking device as far as she can where it lands in large body of water. Katniss Everdeen is crying in pain as she immediately tries to nurse her wound. To Katniss's surprise, Joannah Mason never made an attempt to take her life.
Behind the scenes the Game Master Seneca Crane smashes his hands against the control pannel in anger as he loses a signal on the location of Joannah Mason and Katniss Everdeen.
Seneca Crane: We have a problem!
Not too far away the careers consisting of Clove and Glimmer are closing in on a camp set up by Finnick Odair from district 4 housing his partner and mentor, Maggs. Maggs was 80 years old and needed to be carried almost everywhere she needed to go. Finnick Odair vowed to take care of her after Maggs offered herself up to be a tribute in the 75th quarter quell hunger games to save his girlfriend.
Clove and Glimmer came up on a shack. After a few words between the two, Glimmer rips pieces of her clothes off and rubs dirt from the ground all over her face. Clove grabs her blade and slices a small part of Glimmer's arm to draw blood. Glimmer plays possum, feigning injury trying to lure them out.
Glimmer: Help!
Glimmer cries for help was eventually answered by Finnick Odair who checked to see the commotion.
Finnick Odair: Are you alright?
Finnick Odiar helped the beautiful Glimmer up to her feet as she thanked him for his hospitality when suddenly a throwing knife came directly at him. Finnick Odiar tries to move out the way, but he's hit in the shoulder by Clove's blade. Glimmer quickly pulls out a knife of her own but she's distracted by the commotion coming from the bushes Clove took cover behind.
Thresh: Never trust a career.
Thresh smashes his large fist into the face of Clove - as the two find themselves face to face in yet another run in. Thresh grabs Clove by the head and smashes the back of her skull into the tree trunk. The hard blow sends Clove crashing to the ground when Thresh stands over her - nailing her with hard shot after hard shot beating Clove into a bloody pulp!
Thresh proceeds to turn around and realizes a make shift noose with a little boy is hanging right beside him. He had being hiding from Clove and Glimmer in the trees above. That's when the cannon sounded and a picture of an innocent face lit up the sky of the arena.
Dead: Boy from district six - Branden Harvey - Town Martr
Thresh distracted by the sound of the cannon takes his eyes off of Clove, allowing Glimmer to sneak up on him and stab Thresh into his stomach sending him down one knee as blood pours from his mouth. Glimmer more concerned about her fellow Career ally then finishing up any kills, she immediately comes to Clove's aid and drags her bloodied unconscious body to safety and out of harms way leaving Thresh and Finnick Odair horribly wounded.
Running through the bushes is Foxface. Fast and agile - she must've been too quick for her own good. She crashed into another competitor sending them both to ground. They looked at each other and laughed.
Rue: What do you got there?
Two of the youngest competitors still alive in the arena, neither made an attempt to harm the other. Foxface didn't speak but she reached into the bag with a name tag simply titled ''District 6 - girl'' and pulled out a bible handing it over to Rue. Rue instinctively opened up and and saw a note written inside - written by the boy from district six that had just died.
''We all have an important part to play in this game, I will play mine.''
Rue couldn't figure out why the boy from district six hung himself in the trees but if she had to guess she would probably say he was merely trying to improve the odds of survival for one other person.
And she would be right.
We go behind the scenes of the games and see Seneca Crane in the control room. On the camera, he see's a past victor from district 3 Betee infiltrating the Careers camp while Cato and Marvel went searching for tribute kills. Seneca Crane observes Betee more closely and notices that standing around him is his female district 3 ally, Wiress. Seneca Crane see's Betee using electric supplies to rig the front entrance of the Cornucopia which the careers made into their camp.
Seneca Crane: Betee winner of an unidentified hunger games... won after killing all surviving tributes with an electronic force field. Yeah, not this time.
Betee is finishing up rigging the electric fence and explosives when Wiress looks up at the sky, worried.
Wiress: Tick tock
Betee: What's wrong Wiress?
Wiress: Dee-doo-siii-sooo-eee - tick, tock.
Betee understanding Wiress let's up off the rig and curses under his breath.
Betee: What do you mean it's time?
Suddenly, ALL power in the arena is shut off leaving Betee and Wiress in the dark. Everywhere else, the power is off too.
Seneca Crane: Today is not your day, tributes. Today is not your day.
Dead after night one: Branden Harvey - Boy from district six - Tribute - Town Martyr
Night time is over. Daytime of day two has begun. With 17 alive, it takes 9 votes to lynch.

And there IS a third party.

I think all of us are, Mark. "Town Martyr", huh? lol... now that leaves the question of whether that scum Clove is going to die or not. Sounded like she got beaten up pretty damn bad lol

I'm so glad branden is gone. Amen. Night did a lot. Got rid of Branden so now that distraction is out of our hair, as well as showing us that there IS a third party. As for the kill, it almost read like the mafia were blocked? I mean, if I'm reading the write up and trying to figure it out, it seems like Thresh blocked/saved Odiar from Clove and Glimmer...

Yeah I think Mafia got blocked. Interesting that their is a third party. Harvey was a distraction but he was wrong about that. Also did it appear like the Martyr gave something to the player who is Rue to protect them or am I reading too much into it?

So this is who we had known yesterday
Cato Katniss Everdeen Clove Rue Finnick Odair Mags Marvel Foxface Thresh Joannah Mason Peetah Mellark Glimmer Boy From District Six
add
Betee Wiress Seneca (Wallace) Crane "Distrcit Girl - 6"
Which gives us 17 players
Betee Wiress "Distrcit Girl - 6" Boy From District Six - B-Harvey (Dead) Foxface Thresh Joannah Mason Peetah Mellark Rue Finnick Odair Mags Katniss Everdeen Cato Clove Marvel Glimmer Seneca Crane
I think the matyr deal was if he got lynched the first day, he'd take the last vote with him, if not, he'd die night 1. I could be wrong, but that's what I was getting and if he got that randomly, thank god!
But yea, 13/4/1 seems right as far as splits go. The write up seems to suggest that Joannah has a power to make people disappear and that Rue is a watcher.

Well, I guess it's all up to who got blocked last night, or who got doctored.
I don't want anybody to come out just yet with information, it's way too early. But just keep that in midn.

Because the bag was labelled District Six - Girl and Harvey was boy from district six...

u guys r way too harsh on Harvey sometimes u no that? at least he doesn't steal peoples rp's.
anyways.....
its official that we have a 3rd party without a recruitment which means they have some sort of annoying power role. im with marvin on this one, careful with the info guys.

I was unable to get information last night phase. From the looks, as it was pointed out, there is a third party. I would love to know who it is. They kinda fucked over town last night majorly. I can't say more than that however.

Yeah that is true but there could be a frienfly neighbor role or inventor role out there which is why I'm bringing it up.

So wait... Was EVERYONE role blocked last night?
cause so far Jeff says he may have been RB'd, Nick says he WAS rb'd, and it looks like the scum was rb'd.
So either Jeff or Nick are scum(cause I'm not seeing 2 town roleblockers) or there's something fishy going on!

(in cheesy game show voice) "LET'S PLAY 'TO TELL TRUTH!' WHICH OF THESE MEN WAS ACTUALLY ROLEBLOCKED LAST NIGHT?!"
If I had to guess, just by what I'm seeing now, I'd say it's Jeff who's lying. Admittedly just a guess, but that's all we've got at this point and I'd like to know what makes him think he 'may' have been roleblocked.

Didn't think about it that way. The power being cut means that most people are actually probably telling the truth.

I think everyone who had night actions were blocked. The ones who haven't said they have been blocked are likely vanilla and have no night actions.
