Never cleared L1 as town, but I did clear him as not having a night action... at least not using it night oneand then again last night. So he's CLEARLY not McClane, but that doesn't 100% clear him. Right, now I remember. Thanks for clarifying.

I'm here. I'll get onto this as soon as I have some time, probably later tonight.

of that list there are two names that I find worth investigating. Jules and L1. As far as we know, the mafia has been able to kill, they've had JamesV who is an experienced player would would target one of those guys and yet, both of those guys are still here. It's not out of the realm of possibility that he wasn't lying about knowing who McClaine is because SPeede was a role cop. My thinking is that one of them is John McClain. Could be that JamesV targeted one or both of us when he was roleblocked by Mania. That we're still alive doesn't prove anything more than anybody else being alive. I'm not a big fan of this meta-gaming argument. It's not nearly sound enough. Maybe James did know who McClain was, but given he was the GF caught red-handed I think it is more probable that was his final red herring....except no-one threw their rod at it. Going back to the list. Has it be ascertained who sent it? Sorry if I've missed that, the stop-start nature of the game hasn't lent itself to my utmost attention. But that's by the by, someone's help would be appreciated. The possibilities are: 1. Tmarv did receive that list and it contains some truth (some of it inaccurate). 2. Tmarv did receive that list, but it is wholly inaccurate. The questions remains who sent it and why they sent it. Doubt I'll get answer if there isn't one already. 3. Tmarv made the whole thing up. Not quite sure how we could establish this without killing potential townies, and the problem of 1. would still remain. Terry says he knows Level-One doesn't have a power role, or his information lends him to believe he isn't John McClain at least. Terry could you just clarify whether that info was gained on nights when we know McClain was being active (i.e. the write-up, known night results)? Also, Tel raises a good point about the possible truth in the list being Smith lying (what is he supposed to have lied about?), therefore TJ is lying. This, if true, would explain who our two remaining harmful non-townies are. Still, there's a question of truth. I've got to be honest, in spite all much of this post being taken up with the list, I think it is an outright red herring. I can't conceive of how somebody acquired that much info with one role, sounds more like a scummer's rouse if you ask me. If we know the identity of the sender, we know at least one scum imo. Well, that's unless Marv is rumping us here, but my read on him is pro-town. My only other observation so far is that Level-One has played unusually quiet this game, but then it has been one of those games. I'm not going to jump on him for that because I've hardly been uber vocal myself, but it is still noteworthy at least since it is unusual.

My role tells whether somebody "leaves their house" or not. I.e. uses a night action. I don' t know who they target, or what they do, just whether or not they use their action.
Thus far I've used it on
Level One - NIGHT 1 and Last Night - Did not leave his house Chaz - Did leave his house Jules - Got Roleblocked AC Smith - Did Leave his house Pepsi (roleblocked)

No, it hasn't been ascertained who sent the list, which has me believing Scum Sent it cause i would figure that a townie who gave me info would come out. (unless it was a hidden power I had that triggered on a random night which is unlikely but would fit with my "reporter" like role)
So there's my info.

OK, here's what I'm getting here. This is probably going to wind up being a long post, so bear with me.
T-Marv's role, provided he's not lying, doesn't sound like a scum role. We've got a serial killer, a Survivor, and then whatever Holly is. I don't think Holly would have a role like what T-Marv is describing. I believe T-Marv is town, and if I wind up wiping out on that prediction, I'll take heat for it in the fallout thread.
I still believe whoever Harry Ellis is sent T-Marv the note. That would make perfect sense with the Survivor character, to ensure that everyone else got killed before they got around to him.
Chaz, please answer my question from page 11 (the page flipped over with new posts pretty soon after I made mine). Did you use your night action last night, and if so, was it successful?

I can confirm Terry is telling the truth as far as his information on me is concerned and so this leads me to believe he is town. I cant speak for the rest of his info but that is up to the parties involved to either confirm or deny.
And regarding the lack of posting... I forget were even playing with these painfully long wait weeks in between game days. It ruins the flow of the game and stops being fun.

I can also confirm T-Marv is telling the truth. Night two, I did not leave. I had some "personal issues" to deal with. You know, "taking a look in the mirror" and all. Hint hint.
And as far as last night, I got nothing. I do believe I said that already. But if I didn't, I am now, obviously.

OK, I was confused since he Said he was clear THIS day phase! Maybe I'm being overaggressive, maybe it's because we have nothing else to go on, maybe it's because I remember how he went headhunting towards me earlier in the game, but something about what Chaz did smells a little bit. It's interesting that, on the nights Chaz said he was roleblocked previously, there wasn't a kill. This is the first night there's been any deviation from that. It's not a vote, and it may not even be a finger of suspicion, but I think there's a non-0% chance that Chaz and Pepsi, in some way, shape, or form, are the McClanes.

Perhaps it's not time to go lynch happy just yet on Chaz.... But If we can take a chance on a no lynch tonight, if somebody has any kind of way to investigate him what so ever...it's time to look at Chaz.

If anyone still believes I am not town I will offer the same thing I did before. Investigate me, check me out. You will see that I have nothing to hide. I am not John or Holly McLane, nor am I Ellis. I have tried to check into Chaz before because I found his ultra aggressive style suspect. I didn't get any info that shed light on who he was. I tried to find something out about Jules last night phase, but was told my night action failed. That is all the info I have.

EBWOP
Wait a minute... I made a mistake yesterday. T-Marv's info is false (IF He's saying I DID leave night 2).
Night one and night two both, I did not leave my house (unless investigating yourself counts as you leaving).
And now, with saying that, all of you BETTER know who I am.

I know who you're CLAIMING Havok.
My info I got was on Night 2 you left your house. IDK if you investigating yourself counts for that? IDK if you use a power role if that counts. All I'm giving you is my info.

Well, who I'm CLAIMING to be, is who I am. I promise, I'm not lying.

Post by Jules on Feb 21, 2013 5:20:37 GMT -4
Well there wasn't any need for outing yourself like that Havok (even if the previous hints suggested it). You've just made yourself target no.1. If by some chance there is someone with a protective role, make sure you use it on Havok in the next night.
As for the leaving/not-leaving, it's going to be impossible to tell. This one may come down to MOD interpretation. If I were modding using the action would count as 'leaving the house', even if one targets oneself. But who knows here, right?

If my math is correct, the deadline ends sometime today.
With that in mind, I'm not 100% sold on Chaz being what he said. It may just be a product of how he used his role... but his results have been extremely fishy and he can't exactly clear ANYONE (save Pepsi) and hasn't landed on ANY scum. Now in a game that's stretched THIS LONG and with 3 out of the 7 people left not town, you'd have thought he'd hit at least a 3rd party guy. Either you've used your role SOOOO poorly or you're lying. You are NOT a bad mafia player, so I don't think you used your role poorly.
I'm not gonna vote for you just now cause we can't risk a mis lynch. But there is a tracker out there still (I think) and I'm fairly certain I know who it is, so use your role wisely sir!

If Chaz is to be believed, and like T-Marv, I'm not entirely sure if he is, here's what we're looking at.
AC: Town commuter Chaz: Town Pepsi: Town
That means that of the remaining players (TJ, T-Marv, L-1, Jules), one is town, one is Holly, one is John, and one is Harry.
If Chaz checks out tonight, we should use this list to go off of during the next day phase. Assuming one townie dies and Chaz is cleared, we're at a 3/1/1/1 split, but with that list, we've got a 75% chance of nailing some sort of scum and keeping the game going.

Ill have more to post when I get home in an hour or so but your math is wrong.
Assuming only one townie is killed there would six people left half of which means are town meaning we have a 50/50 chance of getting a scum.

This. I was just about to respond in kind when I caught onto Chaz's claim.
With the role he is claiming to have seven game days deep, this game should be a wrap (FFS). Though at the same time, nobody has countered claim and that role is common - so that alone gives credence to Chaz's claim.
Nonetheless, I'm going to revisit all 12 pages and see what I can pick up on with a fresh pair of eyes.

Ok, I dont have the time to go through and read through all 12 pages, I gotta right a news report for class tonight, but I got a few thoughts and what not.
James was the Godfather and his role said he was executive decision only. THere's only been one night without the godfather, but i'm leaning that the mafia isn't a NK threat. I don't know if Mark blocked James 4 of the 5 nights or not, but I'm leaning that he was the reason why they didn't get a kill the majority of the nights. That said, it's still out there that whoever Holly is, can still kill, but with McCain out there and not entirely sure if Harry is able to kill or recruit.
As far as Chaz's claim is concerned, after thinking about it, I'm leaning towards smelling some bullshit. Looking at my role which isn't as traditional as it probably should be, I was trying to figure out why Havok would check himself on night two rather than night one, at first I figured his role was on the evens, but then he wouldn't have "gotten" nothing given that last night was night 6. It's possible that James wasn't bluffing when he said he knew who the SK is, which means that Holly knows who is the SK and if they can't kill, then why not merc it and do your best to keep the SK alive? Therefore the only person that Chaz has said he checked was Pepsi.
At the same time when that PM came out, Chaz was the first person not named in the PM to have something to disprove it.
And then we come back to this fuckign PM that NO ONE has come forward to suggest they sent it. I've come to the conclusions it's for one or two reasons: 1) T-Marv made it up or 2) Harry sent it. Going off the write up for night six, Harry gave Holly a message that John was dead, which was a lie, which is why whoever sent it to T-Marv isn't speaking up.
RIght now the only person I believe to be town is AC. Everyone else is suspect to me.
Also, so what I say after this doesn't look like I'm fishing. I used my role, which is not a protective role, on the following people in order of the nights
myself L1 AC Kurt (PM was worded differently from the previous two) Kurt Mania
So, CHaz who did YOU visit thus far. We know you've visited yourself, Jules and Pepsi, but you have not told us

Outside the Nakatomi Plaza is a hornet's nest of government coercion as the police, SWAT, Federal Agents and even the National Guard have assembled outside to form a total blockade around the building. The situation has been made a real mess of and with so many casualties, they're not taking anymore risks. Special Agent Johnson has gone in with Agent Johnson to try and infiltrate the floor and release the hostages, both starting at opposite ends of the same floor to provide a round sweep of the area. Agent Johnson arrives on the scene first, storming up the steps to near where the offices are.
Special Agent Johnson: Alpha Team, this is War Boss. What's your status, over?
Alpha Team Leader: We've secured the seventh floor now. Working our way up. Little to no resistance. We've arrested a suspected terrorist who was trying to flee but other than that, the trail has been cold, over.
Special Agent Johnson: Copy that. Hold your position. Agent Johnson and I are about to breach the thirty second floor. We believe that the majority of the German terror force has been incapacitated, over.[/color][/B]
Alpha Team Leader: We believe there still to be armed threats located within the building sir. We've heard a number of gunshots. Be advised, over.
Click.
Special Agent Johnson's skin turns a shade whiter as he feels the all too familiar sensation of steel resting against the back of his head. A nickel-plated Colt Python, the one once prized by Joseph Takagi presses against Johnson's skull. This time though, it's being wielded by a tired, hurt and frazzled John McClane who's struggling to draw the line between friend and foe.
John McClane: And you're about to hear one more. There ain't gonna' be no more deaths at the hands of you fuckin' terrorists.
Special Agent Johnson tries to plead but to no avail.
Special Agent Johnson: But I'm FBI, I-
But it's too late, McClane pulls the trigger on the seized revolver and puts a hole in Johnson's head that he could've put his fist through. The power of the blast launches Special Agent Johnson into the distance, before gravity kicks in and drags him to the ground as a dead and bloody mess. As he hits the deck, his FBI badge flies out of his jacket pocket and McClane's stomach starts to turn.
John McClane: Oh fuck.... I just killed a FED!
DEAD: TJ, Special Agent Johnson, Town Cop
DAY EIGHT BEGINS.
ALIVE PLAYERS 1. A.C. Smith 2. Billy Pepsi 3. Chaz Dillinger 4. Crown Jules 5. Level One 6. T-Marv
WITH SIX PLAYERS ALIVE, IT TAKES FOUR TO ACHIEVE A LYNCH.

VOTE: ChazChaz hinted cop, and the cop just died. Unless there are two cops in this game, which would be a pretty wonky setup, that can't be the truth.

I got that from Chaz too. I can understand why TJ wouldn't counter claim too, maybe he was working the angles and sussed it was a play, biding his time for the right moment. But then maybe we could've done with a bit more aggression, if he read Chaz's claim like at least 4 of us have.
I'm going to wait to see what everyone has to say, but I'm leaning pretty strong towards Chaz myself.
