I will write more about this place like all of you have when I come back from my holiday on the 11th when I've calmed down regarding the history of APW and it will be a long post as well.

I've been toying around with the idea of starting up a new fed... just don't know if I can give it the time needed.
Keep us posted on where you're going so we can stay in touch.

This shocked me. As some of you may or may not know War Games was my last official match e-fedding due to work literally take up most of my time. HOWEVER, if there is a last APW show, I'd like to be a part of it to do a one-off with one of my characters against someone. Sad to see this happen.

Jeff, I know I'm not one of the ones who has made a huge difference here, and I can honestly say that watching this place flourish as both a spectator and a member has been a complete delight. Ever since Jason Kash mentioned this place to me when I very first started Fedding in February 2011, I had been looking in periodically to see how things were going, and upon deciding to join the fed, even for a brief time, I found that the community is one of the best around, and the competition is top-notch from top to bottom. Every writer here is main-event caliber anywhere they want to go, and being able to put "APW Megastar" in the history of Roy Speede is an honor and a privilege for which I'm very greatful. I'm truly sad to see the greatest fed I've ever witnessed close, and one of my biggest regrets was not becoming more active here. With your permission, I'd like nothing more than to be a part of the last couple shows of APW's storied history.

TMarv buys Jeff out and the APW goes into a New Era. Makes sense and at least it's someone who CAN run it and has shown he could even if not everyone agrees with him. I don't think everyone who came across Jeff and Biggs always agreed with them and the APW History and Legacy could live on! Really, I have been bummed all day.

Wow, this is a shocker.
Although, seeing it as I have been feeling a bit like Jeff has as of late - I completely understand where he's coming from and it makes me having to leave a lot easier to take.

I hate seeing this, but at the same time it might be for the best, for now. Hopefully apw will come back again full blast... if so I will be here waiting. Sorry from my end lately, health has been an issue. Right this second I am writing from a hospital bed, been here for a few days now and not sure when I will get out because they found a blood clot in my lungs. A break was something I knew I needed, but not like this. I will be looking out for matches in the future. Love you all and if anyone wants to keep in touch feel free to message me anytime, or facebook me. www.FACEBOOK.COM/KAYLYNJAMESEVANSStupid caps, sorry not used to the laptop, a friend let me borrow hers until I am hope again.

Not sure this is the time or place to say this, but I'm going to host an Efed Guerillas tomorrow night. One of the things I plan to talk about is APW closing so if anyone wants to call in (#OOC) to share a favorite memory or give your thoughts or say a goodbye or anything, or if we could score an interview with Jeff, that would be AMAZING! www.blogtalkradio.com/fwrestling/2013/11/02/efg-broad-scope-175 Call in number is (718) 664 6064 or you can use the Skype call-in button when we're live. Friday night 10PM Eastern 7PM Pacific. I will be tuning into the show, hopefully I will call-in as well.

I've waited a while to let this sink in.
I loved APW, truly truly did. When the Drama started, it really hit me hard cause this place had normally been free from that kind of thing, a haven of sorts. But I always thought that some day it'd straighten itself out and likely go on for another million years...that's the resiliency that Jeff had... and to see it end is like a sharp kick to the stomach.
Jeff, you've done one hell of a job. You've put up with egos and attitudes (mine included) and have managed to push through all of that to give everyone here a true home. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
Jason Kash,
Though I appreciate the support and confidence that I could take over APW. I honestly wouldn't even try. I don't think I could keep the legacy that this place holds right now. There's no way I'd be able to do the type of job Jeff has done and anything that would come from that would pale in comparison to the APW everyone loves and remembers. And to me, that would be just a real tragedy, even more so than everyone having to say goodbye to APW.
So I think it's just better to move on, try something new and leave APW's legacy in tact.

I got your PM J-Reb but I was thinking to run this by people publicly to gather interest and let people know what their option is from here;
If we co-open a place, I would coordinate match writing and show posting and you would be in charge of OOC dispute management and announcements. We'd split booking responsibilities between us.
As for a schedule, I think creating somewhere new running two brands like APW would be a difficult start. So to try to best balance the needs of everyone we run a 3,000 word RP, one show a week schedule (slightly up from Asylum, slightly down for Overdrive) on a Monday so everyone has chance throughout the week to get their stuff together and through the weekend to post on time. Pay-per-views would be scheduled roughly every six episodes giving everyone time to flesh out their rivalries.
Any present or former staff members would be invited to reprise their roles in the new promotion and we'd create a site, start booking our first card and try to get things moving within the next fortnight.
How does that sound?
EDIT: Oh and if anyone hasn't realised yet and is wondering why this seemingly nobody is spearheading a new operation with J-Reb, that's because I'm the god damn Michael Callahan.

Sad to see APW go. Jeff, you were always a pleasure to work with. I made a post similar to this a month ago about WARPED. In fact, the first few paragraphs in your post were nearly identical to what I said in my farewell post. The whole "I don't want to read roleplays, write matches, etc anymore" thing, as well as "wanting to close the fed" for the last year. So similar. That said, I've now decided a month later that I changed my mind, but still. I say all of that to let you know I totally understand where you are coming from, and I hope that you can find something to occupy your time and keep you interested, because if you don't, you'll probably be sucked right back in Think about it. ewrestling takes up soooo much of one's time. That's a big void to fill. Maybe you can take up napping! All the best.

There's a couple of other feds I'm in that I'm sure would be grateful to have you. First is Sin City Wrestling (no, not the one you guys are affiliated with) www.scwrestling.net/boards/index.php?act=idxThe other is the Asylum Wrestling Alliance z7.invisionfree.com/AWAsylum/index.php?act=idxI know Reeb is putting something together and I wish him luck with that but just throwing these options out there (in AWA I'm Joey Retera, in SCW I'm Lizzie Short, Cyrus King, Jessie Salco and Steve Ramone).

I'm glad I waited a couple of days to comment here. I initially wanted to write something overly sentimental, haha. After reading it - like everyone - there was a profound sense of shock. Like most others, I honestly wasn't able to really focus on anything all day. I just kept thinking about what would happen now that there was no APW. But then, as more time passed, it became less of a 'thing'. I mean, we all move on. These things happen.
Yeah, they suck. But I think I've settled on the whole metaphor of leaving school and going off to college (or university - whatever the equivalence is). We all grow up and spend a long period of time with each other. We make friends and we share experiences with them. But, eventually, we're all destined to eventually leave and go about our own ways. Like I said, it sucks - maybe more so that, you now, none of us really knew it would happen. At least with school and that you know when the 'end day' is. This just seemed to come out of the blue for 99% of us. If we had all known when it would end, I think a lot of what's being felt now would have been avoided. But that's just the way this time has gone.
APW has been a great place to write at. There was something about this place that always pulled you back. I don't want to say it was any one thing or another because it's something you juts can't pinpoint. For some it might be the OOC, others it might be the level of competition, and then again the management were always excellent in keeping the place running. How can anyone say what made APW great?
While not many people are doing 'shout outs' to others (and my initial response was "I'm going to do that for everyone!") - and while I would like to reiterate what everyone has said about Jeff (and thank-you, Jeff, for everything that you did for for APW) - I want to give credit to someone who I think did as much for APW as anyone (Jeff included).
Biggs.
You were the unheralded hero of APW, for my money. No one put in more work than you in the time I've been here. When I first came, you were running Overdrive and the job you were doing there was the sole reason I stayed after 3 months. I had all intentions of upping and leaving because I'd done what I wanted to do. But, the more I saw of OverDrive, the more I knew I wanted to stay. You were the guy who gave some blow-in a chance to actually 'be' someone in this hobby.
Without you, Biggs, there would not be a Sally Talfourd.
Then you went on to run Asylum - after the fiasco beginning that it started as IWC (or whatever) - it has turned into (in my mind) the better of the two shows. And from day one you can be credited for that. If Asylum has an success, it's because of you, Biggs.
I, like everyone, was saddened to hear, firstly, of your health problems and then, secondly, that you were stepping back (no slight on Rebel intended at all on that). It just seemed like the first steps to you bowing out altogether. Given that we're not going to have to worry much about an APW without Biggs holding the place together, I can't help but wonder if it's not a better thing.
You never had a bad word to say about anyone (at least not that I ever read), you never caused issues or problems with what you were doing (not to say that others intended that when they did come up), and I would imagine that everyone here has the highest amount of respect for you. You gave up more than most in helping APW - more time than anyone else, that's for sure. All the way up to the end you were thinking about Asylum and booking it and everything. That deserves recognition.
I'll save more of the personal things for a PM - otherwise people would think me a human-thing with emotions and the like. But, along with all the thank-you's that everyone else is receiving, I want to just say:
Thank-you Biggs.
Thank-you for all your hard work. Thank-you for all your dedication. And thank-you for giving me a chance.
