I am sad to inform everyone, that I have decided the close down Action Packed Wrestling effective immediately. Some of you may or may not have seen this coming; however, this wasn’t a spur of the moment decision. This decision has been in my mind for over a year now, and its just came sooner than I was planning. Originally I wanted to close APW after Rasslemania 10. But lately, I just have no interest in playing this game anymore. I don’t want to write matches anymore. I don’t want to read RP’s anymore. I don’t put to put shows together anymore. I don’t want to spend my free time efedding anymore. I don’t want to spend my days off work efedding anymore. I have other interest now, mainly bettering myself for real wrestling. Also with the combination of struggling to get people to help write matches and a lot of people leaving the game as well due to time issues. The staff and I believe that now is a good time to close shop. I could easily hand things over to someone else, but so many times I’ve seen that happen to feds and the fed just goes down hill and I don’t want to see that happen to APW. As APW is my baby where I’ve spend countless hours with that I don’t want to see anything bad happen with it. HOWEVER I want to finish APW big. And that’s why in January, I do plan of doing Survive and Conquer. I dunno how big it will be, but as of right now, there will be a Survive and Conquer and we can use that event to tie up any lose ends on any feuds. The final APW Show I want to do is RASSLEMANIA 10. This event will happen one way or another. And I’d like to do it sometime in March and stay on Schedule. And end APW for good with that show. I want to make Rasslemania 10 big. And use that show as a Thank you show. And that’s by making the show full of dream matches. No storylines or anything, just a huge super show of matches people want/people want to see. I just hope your all willing to come back for 1 more show. As I said before, this decision was over a year in the making. I want to make this clear that Any drama we had here did NOT influence my decision. Thoughts of when to close APW started popping in my head last summer. It was gonna be at Rasslemania 10. However, with doing the pro wrestling thing now, its eating up most of my time, it just sped up the process. I know you guys love APW and it kills me to do this. But I hope you all understand. We’ve been around for 6 years and that’s 6 years longer than 95% of the feds out there. We should all be proud of everything we’ve did for APW. I hope you coming to APW, it has made you look at efedding in a different way, and has made you into a better writer. I hope you all enjoyed your time here and I hope that I gave everyone a efedding experience that you’ve never had before. I could do a big thank you list, but I want to save that until after Rasslemania. So for now, we’re done. I’m going to leave the boards open for you guys to chit chat and play mafia. Keep an eye out for news on Survive and Conquer. If anyone here wants to start a fed and have everyone here go there, let me know, I'll help you with advice on how to get it off the ground make it successful Again, I’m sorry guys, but I think this decision at this time is right for me and the fed. I’ll keep posting here with my wrestling career. However, if you have face book, you can follow me on it www.facebook.com/#!/elfuegodragon Thanks again everyone for everything you’ve done to make APW a success.

I honestly think handing over the reigns would be a more popular solution but fuck it.
I'm up for hosting a new game if anyone wants to join. I suspect most are SCW bound though.
I'll have a better response when I'm not freezing my tits off in the apple store.

I'll be around for one more show in March, without a doubt.
Sad to see APW go. Will most certainly be missed and remembered as the greatest e-fed of all time.

It's really no secret (or it shouldn't be) that APW and I don't have a flawless, pristine history with each other. Jeff and I have not always seen eye to eye, but I tried to make as little trouble as possible when those occasions...uh, occurred.
That said, I am very sad that APW is closing. I admit to not keeping up with the stories here lately, but no matter what else happens, APW will always have a special place in my heart, if for no other reason than because, for the first time since my other home fed of years closed in 2011, I felt like I had truly accomplished something when I won the Suicidal Title with Isamu Suzuki. Even though I deeply regret squandering the reign itself, the title win itself felt huge, a win I felt I'd earned and that I was elated to see. Actually, other than placing T-4th in Queen of Sin last year, it's the only big win I can remember that I felt this way about, and I've had few enough of them in my eight year career that I only need my hands (maybe just one) to count them.
I'm no legend so I can't imagine any dream matches with my characters in them, but I will be in attendance for Survive and Conquer, and I would be honored to have a spot on the card for Rasslemania X.

I may be new, but APW has made me feel so welcomed and made me feel like I was apart of the family. You ran this fed beautifully Jeff and it's sad to see APW end. APW is without a doubt one of the best feds efedding has to offer. I can only hope nothing but the best for you and your career.

Didn't see this one coming but I respect your decision Jeff. APW was my first time back in e-fedding since 2007 and I can honestly say that I enjoyed my time here. The atmosphere was unique and I will miss it.

It's no secret that I loved the APW and despite my many forays in different feds, APW was always my priority. Through running Meltdown & Overdrive and spending countless number of hours RPing here, I'm proud to say that I had an impact on the e-fedding community somehow. APW was the place that caused me to break a 10-year RP retirement. I've enjoyed every feud along the way. And despite winning the way I did, I'm proud to be the last World Heavyweight Champion (despite the fact that Jeff thinks I'm going to lose it somewhere along the way... Thanks for all the memories. I'll always be around somewhere. EFK is where I'll be most accessible. Godspeed, APW.

As someone who was on the outside (looking in from time to time, and then talking about what I saw on Efed Guerillas) I have to say it was super cool to be able to come here in January and be part of the Survive and Conquer event. The event was amazing and I always enjoyed it whenever someone like Terry Marv or any of the APW guys - I think we had a few other APW guys besides TMarv on our shows - would call in. You always seemed like a really good group of people. Add to that the talent you had here and it always had APW toward the top of my shortlist whenever I was looking for another fed to join. I regret that I never got to RP here in any full-time, or even part-time, capacity, but I'm glad for at least having been part of S&C and look forward to next year's. I will name my character Leon Stone so I can get a favorable draw. Ernie aka El Gringo Loco Handler of Pat Gordon, Jr. and "MaX-Files" Max Hopper Host on Efed Guerillas

Wow...
I came out of a six year retirement to join APW because of some familiar faces and I am glad I did. I whole heartily enjoyed my time here in APW. It helped reignite a passion I had for writing, for that I am forever grateful. Consider me in for S&C and Rasselmania X. Disappointed I never got a chance to carve my name as one of the great APW Overdrive Champions, but I am the last! Best of luck everyone, Until we meet again...

This is never an easy thing to do, but sometimes, it's the right thing to do.
I faced a similar situation when I ran my old fed. Carry it out to finish at a milestone, or end it because it was my baby and I didn't want to taint it. In the end, I did much the same thing. I closed it after a PPV and I didn't regret it.
Like I (think) said in my farewell topic, APW has give me so many opportunities, and gave me a home to have that come back run. I think when I first came back, I expected to be around for a year tops and then I'd fade away again. Get the itch out and then go back to life. Only took a few extra years.
Many thanks to you, Jeff, for putting together a fantastic fed, and many thanks, as well, to Biggs, Evan Envi, Terry Marvin, and Johnny Rebel (and probably people I'm missing) for running brands and helping to put the show together when Jeff couldn't. It definitely made this an enjoyable place to RP, especially when results were always out, at the latest, a days or two after the event.
I like the idea of the two final shows, I just hope there is enough interest by then to have them. I hope that there are enough people interested to have the big dream matches that I'm sure people have had in their heads since day one. But I guess that might depend on how those events are advertised and how these boards fair after this announcement. Whether they stay active or if everyone fades away.

Wow. that's all I can say. Well even though i've been around here for a short time (pretty close to a year though), i've really come to love APW. It's really helped me evolve as an RPer, and got me to love RPing again, even after a time where I wanted to just permanently quit the game.
To be honest, you're absolutely right Jeff. APW is your fed. We've had a damn good party in the house that prez Jeff built, and no way anyone could ever run APW like you could. it would have become a mockery of what it has become, and nobody wants that (a good example is VWF last year...run by a guy who wasn't the original owner and it blew HARD).
So yeah,I honestly mean this well. Thank you Jeff for APW, and thanks for making me want to RP again, even after my partner blew up.
Let's make these last few shows count!

... Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn .... I was hoping this was some late "April Fool's Joke" but I see it isn't. I can definitely understand but my mood just went from happy to sad in bout' 1.6 seconds. I was ready for Asylum, working ideas for that. I sincerely thank Rebel for telling me about this place. I thank Jeff for putting his best out each week, welcoming not just me but everyone, making this place feel like home. Him and his staff for putting up excellent work every week. I am thankful for meeting and interacting with everyone on this forum. J-Reb, Bailey, WDW, Kash, Envi, Knux, Mannie, and all I've had a pleasure working with. APW was home for Hopkins. Originally he was just supposed to be a side character, not worth much impact or a good character. APW changed that with the great talent pool here. I really enjoyed writing, interacting, doing stuff with the character. Bone Thugz nor Boyz II Men are not needed for this. I'm already down enough. Thank you Jeff for making APW what it is, Action-Packed Wrestling. If the S&C deal still happens, I'll definitely partake in it. For now, love ... peace and ... soouuullllllllll!!! #TDBUnited

I managed to get fucking signal. Well fuck me that announcement shocked the hell out of me but of course I understand why you want to close this place down. Honestly Jeff this place is like a god damn home to me where my Stefan character grew to be the big star he is and this place helped me so much on working my character and god damn I'm so fucking glad to have feuded with you this year and I've never regretted it at all more now.
I'll tell you all something that when Jeff told me in a PM that me and him were feuding for Rasslemania. I was in tears of happyness because my dream had come true with feuding the owner as apart from the GM thing as well was the only things I've never experienced in my fedding life due to not really having a heel character to make it work and the talent Jeff has with his RP's is amazing and incredible.
Good luck with your wrestling career and god bless you buddy.

I've been here going on 4 years. I had plans to potentially walk away after Survive & Conquer and Jeff asked me to wait until Mania. I understand now why. This is insane but I am not too surprised. Sally came back and maybe that too was connected to this announcement. I can figure the majority of us might end up together or scattered out and about but we'll always have APW memories. It's been a long run, no regrets other than once again not making a Hall of Fame and I wanted that in APW. I can settle for one final send off, one final hoorah!

Why not just put APW up for "Sale" and give it a chance to survive? Jeff would have a place to make appearances and such and the history remains intact? I get the reasons for your decision but at least give it a chance! To know our history, even if some didn't continue after Mania was still there to see...that could continue being special. Just think about it, you got time to really decide. TMarv has tweeted about having his own spot. Envi and him damn near ran the place for a minute. A new Generation and the irony is TMarv could buy it with money he made in APW haha.

I don't know if I am out of line, but I thought I would give my well wishes too. I have never really RP'ed in APW before, but it doesn't take being a member to realise how great this place was. I always enjoyed reading the results, playing mafia, and just fucking around having a good time. Being in Survive and Conquer last year will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart, and so will APW, despite my limited experience here. It always breaks my heart when a quality fed shuts down, and I know how soul crushing it is for people who truly loved this place. Best wishes to Jeff for all of his future shit, and to the roster, where ever they will now choose to cool home . Side note, you bet your fucking arse I'll be coming back for Survive and Conquer this year, and if anyone wants to run a match with Gordon at Rasslemania, I will definetely be down, but im sure you all have your own things . Much love to APW and the peeps that resided here, and good luck for the future. Gordo

I wasn't going to post in here, because honestly, I'm not one for emotional shit. I don't do well with emotion, and I don't express emotion too well. However, here it goes...
APW is my home. APW is Nathaniel Havok, and that's all there is to it. I've had the privilege of going to several feds with Havok. GWA, prYde, SEA, etc... But nowhere has made me feel more at home, than right here in APW. Yeah, I've had "tiffs" and "fights" with some of my brethren, but what family doesn't? And even a few months ago, when I "retired" from APW for good... As soon as I could, I came back. Why? Because there's no place in this efed world, better than APW.
We're a family, and family has their ups and downs. Difference between APW and other efeds, is that we always come through. Take Terry and I, for example. I basically burned that bridge by not thinking before speaking, and Terry could have easily left me in the dust. However, Terry is a stand-up guy, and forgave me for my wrongdoing. Why? Because once again, APW is a family.
I've loved every single minute of being here. My 2011 run with Jeff, was something I will ALWAYS be proud of, and is definitely one of the best highlights of my career. Jeff and I spaced a feud out for an entire year, and it didn't grow stale. Jeff drove me to roleplay my ass off, and I had quite arguably my best year in efedding. 2 Xtreme Championships, several big "PPV" wins, a World Title (thanks Chaz Dillinger), and I finally got to work with Jason Kash. All of this, while the main focus of that year for me was a feud between Jeff and I.
I love this place, and I love all of you. Yes, even you, Knux.
APW will always be the best fed in the world, and everyone here, will always be my family. Yes, even you, Knux.

Not gonna lie: Even though I totally respect what Jeff's going through and how crunched for time he is, this is a total gutpunch. I'd thought the Smith character was done for when ACW closed up shop, but when I saw APW and the community it had, I knew I had to join up for a run, and I'm really happy I did. I'll always be grateful for the time I spent here, and I'm absolutely in for both Survive and Conquer and RM10.
While I'd love to see APW continue to exist, it's totally Jeff's call as to whether or not it does. This was his creation, and he turned it into one of the top e-feds on the web (possibly THE top e-fed). If he says it's time to close the doors, I'll back him on that, as sad as that is.
