VOTES
Gates: 3 (Callahan, TJ, T-Marv) Noble: 1 (Gates)
Of course, that's not the only reason I'm posting. Why? Because...
IT'S TRIVIA TIME!!!!!
Here's the question. Both Loni Anderson and Jan Smithers became huge sex symbols for their roles as station secretary Jennifer Marlowe and intern Bailey Quarters. In the 1980's, both married A-list actors; unfortunately, both relationships ended in the mid-1990's.
For a special reward...who were the actors Anderson and Smithers married/divorced?
PM me your answers. I will post here when the first correct answer has been messaged to me.

Double-post because, once again, the trivia was solved insanely quickly.
Loni Anderson married Burt Reynolds, while Jan Smithers married James Brolin.

With Marvin's epiphany (was also a point I made earlier...just sayin'), we're at L-2. JamesV is the only peron left to elaborate on his thoughts, but his post gives a good summary of his thoughts. I'm not going to be one to back away from this lynch, so here we go:
Vote: CJ Gates
It was a really, really nice try.

My reason for unvoting..... If Jeff is the gifter and died last night... then there's no way he could have gifted Gates a 1-shot. If he did, then the game is broken. Dead player's actions DONT succeed. I have to believe Gates is lying here. THIS. There's NO WAY Jeff could've gifted anything to Gates last night because he died. No way in hell that happened and I see no scenario in which it does happen. Bottom line, I think Gates is lying and I think he is the scum out of Noble and Gates. TMarv hit the nail on the head with his assessment of this. I think Gates is lying thus he is getting my vote. Vote: Gates

Alright, I home. I've been following this back and forth between Noble and Gates and at first I just through Kurt was pulling at straws, claiming a silencer but as I read his argument against Gates, it worked. Now I'm not saying Gates wasn't giving a strong argument, it just seem that Gates, uncharacistally, was prudent that what he had was 100 percent the truth and nothing could be against it. I understand dire straights, but as said, Gates started the wagon on Knuckles and wants us to forgive him for his mistake and trust him this time with proof no one can back up nor tear down with actual facts. Jeff can't tell us he gave Gates a one-shot any of the nights. He claims to have used his power on L1, who died the same night he used his power, a good claim to make to make you seem town, and he claims to be roleblocked night one, probably Knuckle taking a swing in the dark on night one, but guess what, Knuckles can't prove that or not. Like I said, when Gates has info against him, he doesn't try to discredit what they're doing, but he completely did that to Callahan, saying that whatever Callahan did is in no way the truth, and you want proof of this? Back on page 8 I'm not faulting you on a bad decision. They happen. But after admitting to making one mistake you expect the town members to just shrug it off and follow you on another witch hunt? You say you're not guessing, that you're 100% but how can everyone else be sure of that? You've already been wrong. If Rebel and Marv are willing to follow you based on your word, which has already cost us one town member, I don't think it would be making much of a leap to say that you three are the scum in this game. If someone else has something to go off of, by all means, we can role with it. I know that I am 100% town, and I also know that there is no way short of getting myself modkilled that I can prove that and prove that my information is correct. All I can say is that I received a one shot investigative role and used it on Noble to find out he is guilty, and made sure to use my own role (which isn't anything investigative/silencing but helps make sure roles are successful) to make sure that I got a result. The game will be over if we don't lynch scum, and Kurt is scum. If we don't lynch him, then we will lynch a townie (most likely, if we lynch anyone since it will probably either by Kurt or myself) and a nightkill will doom us. If we don't lynch anyone then a nightkill will doom us. As far as a silenced player goes, Kurt, the more I think of it, the more I think you're full of it. If there was someone silenced, then we shouldn't even be playing since there's no way we can lynch scum if we only have 4 of the 5 needed votes. That bold part of CJ's post is what stands out to me because what happen when someone else had something to go off of? What did he do following that, he just ignored it, said he's 100 percent town and Callahan's line of thinking is wrong instead of "role"ing with it. I just feel there is more evidence against CJ than against Kurt. Also, a saying for the moment. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me" I'm not falling for a CJ-led mislynch that costs the town this game.

No more talking; I'll have a writeup up tonight (probably after Overdrive goes up since I'm at work with some stuff to do).

Arthur Carlson sits in his office at WKRP. Across from him is Doug Winter, a disc jockey hired when Johnny Fever died after being blown up by Clean Up Radio Broadcasting. However, it’s just been revealed that Winter had been engaging in pay-for-play practices, a major no-no in radio.
Arthur: “I want you gone. Not in five minutes. I want you gone right now.”
Winter gets up, but with a slight smile on his face.
Winter: “Fine. But that coke you said I took? That was the foot powder I gave you when you complained about your Odor-Eaters.”
Winter leaves, and Carlson’s eyebrows go halfway up his forehead. The drug has seeped into him through his feet, and he writhes around in pain, as if he’s having a seizure. Winter leaves, and secretary Jennifer Marlowe shrieks in panic before calling 911.
---
A short time later, Marlowe, Herb Tarlek, Bailey Quarters, and Rex Erhardt are gathered in the lobby while EMT’s work on Carlson in his office. After a moment, one goes into the lobby.
EMT: “We lost him. We tried, we tried hard. He’s gone.”
The four remaining WKRP staffers try their best to hold themselves together, but we hear a large amount of weeping going on from the huddle. The Big Guy, who had managed the station for well over a decade, is dead.
DEAD: Arthur Carlson/CJ Gates, WKRP Station Manager, Town encourager
---
Night four begins NOW. Send all night actions to me by 10:30 p.m. Eastern time on Friday night.

Our scene opens today at the Debbie Boone Invitational, a semi-pro tennis tournament held in the suburbs of Cincinnati. In a near court, we see WKRP afternoon DJ Rex Erhardt engaged in a long volley, but he ends it with a swift overhead smash that bounces past the outstretched racket of his opponent. Referee: “Game, Erhardt! Change sides.” The two players walk off the court, and Erhardt grabs his water bottle. He chugs it, but a few second later starts twitching, and falls down on the court. EMT's on site rush over toward him, but it's too late. His water was poisoned, and he's already dead. DEAD: Rex Erhardt/Chaos Stryke, WKRP Afternoon DJ, vanilla townie --- The next day's Cincinnati Enquirer has a huge headline at the top, followed by a story. WKRP SOLD TO CLEAN UP RADIO BROADCASTING In the latest twist to their war against WKRP, Clean Up Radio Broadcasting (CURB) has bought the embattled station, one that's lost over half of their staff to suspicious circumstances in the past month. “We're ecstatic to be able to get our message out through the airwaves of Cincinnati,” said Dr. Bob Halyers, leader of CURB and new station manager at WKRP. “This gives us an outlet to provide clean, appropriate radio to the good people of this city.” Very few staffing arrangements have been made. However, Halyers did confirm that Wayne R. Coe would be hired as the station's program director and that Bob “Boogie” Barnett would be hosting the station's morning show effective immediately. There is no immediate confirmation on the futures of former WKRP staffers Herb Tarlek (sales manager), Jennifer Marlowe (secretary), and Bailey Quarters (news director). Sources close to the situation, though, say that Tarlek and his family have moved out of the state, Marlowe has been assigned a 24/7 police detail by a wealthy benefactor she's been romantically linked to, and Quarters is planning on applying to graduate schools in the greater Ohio area. GAME OVER, MAFIA WINS I will post a fallout thread in the next few minutes. Direct all conversation there.
